Shocking: Identical Twins, Different Fathers

I have always known these two gorgeous identical Kamba twins and I have always told them that I am certain that they had different fathers because they are so very different in mannerisms, character and other DNA issues I will not go into here.

Until now (when I did the research for this article) I was sure that it was impossible for identical twins to have different fathers. Well, science tells me that it is NOT only possible but more common than most people think.

Shockingly, one study estimates that as many as 1 in 400 sets of fraternal twins is "bipaternal" (born from sperm from two different individuals.)

How is it possible? Simple: Two eggs from the same mother get fertilized by two different fathers – within the same ovulation period.

Well let's start with the example of animals. Female dogs ovulate multiple eggs and when a dog is in heat, any male dog in the vicinity will attempt to mount her, so each egg could be fertilized by a different father, producing a litter of puppies that don't resemble each other in the slightest.

Humans aren't dogs, of course, and most of the time, women ovulate only one healthy egg per cycle. Fraternal twins occur when women ovulate two healthy eggs and both get fertilized. And every now and then, "superfecundation" happens: Two eggs are ovulated during the same cycle and fertilized at different points within the five-day fertility window, resulting in a bouncing pair of twins.

When we see twins, we may assume that both eggs were fertilized during a single act of intercourse. But it's quite possible for one egg to be fertilized during one act of intercourse, and the other during another. For example, consider a couple that has a morning quickie, followed by a more leisurely round that evening.


It's therefore only logical, then, that when a woman has sex with more than one man while she's fertile, "heteropaternal superfecundation" can occur. That is, each egg can be fertilized by a different father.

Shocking to say the least knowing the habits of the modern woman.

Uhuru, Kidero born at Pumwani: Famous People Born At Pumwani May Have Been "Switched"

The cheeky popular Nairobi tabloid The Nairobian has made a sensational mind boggling suggestion.

What if the long list of famous Kenyans born at Pumwani hospital were all switched at birth? That would mean that they are NOT who they (or us) think they are and only a DNA test would be conclusive and halt wagging tongues.

Pumwani Maternity Hospital has had a very long history of babies being born and switched. In fact in the latest racket going on at the hospital poor mothers who give birth are told that their babies have died only for them to be sold off in a very lucrative side business going on right inside Kenya's largest and oldest maternity hospital.

It is said that some nurses at the hospital are the ones involved in the evil illicit business where a baby girl costs a whooping Kshs 50,000.

Now what if famous people we know born at the hospital were in fact switched or purchased at the hospital? That would be a very scary thought but something that cannot be entirely dismissed. Cheeky tabloid or no cheeky tabloid.

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero, President Uhuru Kenyatta, Margaret Kenyatta (the President's step sister), A.G. Prof. Githu Muigai, Philip Kisia, George Aladwa, Joe Aketch and media personality Jimmy Gathu amongst others.

More Theories As To What Strange Creature Found In South Africa Could Be

Frightened villagers say it is an evil spirit that escaped from hell, some experts say it could be a mutation..

The practice of witchcraft and devil worship is on the increase in the world, more so in Africa spurred by new challenges and increased financial difficulties. This evil could be the key to unlocking the mystery of the strange creature discovered recently in South Africa.

Some locals are even convinced that it is an evil spirit that has escaped from the bowels of hell itself and a sure sign that the end of time is nigh.

These may all sound like some far fetched tales more so for most people who believe that there is nothing on the face of the earth which does not have a scientific explanation. Actually this is being extremely naïve because there are way too many strange and scientifically unexplained things that happened daily all over the world. There is no doubt that the super natural actually exists whether or not we want to acknowledge the fact.

But just to humor all those of you who will always want to stick to science there is yet another new opinion from experts who now say that the creature could be some kind of mutated species and could be made up of several different creatures. Now that is the most convincing theory I have heard from experts on this case so far.

It is true that we have really messed up the planet we live in with all our dangerous get-rich-schemes that introduce harmful chemicals and all kinds of poisonous substances all the time. Bizarre mutations are bound to happen.

Still the reality here is that this latest scientific theory has no proof or evidence to back it up yet.

These are eerie photographs (courtesy of The Huffington Post) of a strange animal found in South Africa recently. Really creepy aren't they?

What really is it? A being from outer space? Some "accident" from all the chemicals and abuse being visited upon our planet? The discovery has caused a lot of fear and all kinds of superstitious talk amongst Africans who are quick to look into the super natural for explanations to strange events, sightings and happenings.

The mystery has deepened with the explanation of some experts that it is a baby baboon that died and was carried around by the mother too long. It certainly does not look like a plausible explanation to anybody applying their intellect to these crazy crazy photographs.

Intersex or hermaphrodite suffers untold horror in cell with rough criminal men

Just imagine for a minute what would happen if you were to put one woman in the same cell with male inmates?

So you can imagine the sheer horror and torture a hermaphrodite would go through.

Richard Muasya, a Kenyan hermaphrodite has sued the government of Kenya and requested immediate release, unconditionally from Kamiti Maximum Prison where he is on death row after being found guilty of a robbery with violence offence.

He wants to be released for undergoing untold mockery, ridicule and dehumanization fellow inmates, prison warders and even the police. Muasya's lawyer John Chigiti would not have put it more bluntly by stating that his client .."is under constant danger of being sexually abused and molested by the anxious male inmates at Kamiti."

Muasya was born with both the male and female sex organs and at least 3 medical examinations by authorities have confirmed this sad fact. The Kenyan constitution does not make allowances for special facilities for inmates who are both male and female.

Muasya was initially arrested for the offence he was convicted of in February 2005 in Kitui. Fascinatingly he also faced charges of rape initially which were later quickly dropped apparently after his biological condition was discovered. This is strange because hermaphrodites are also capable of rape.
