Police officers on Madaraka Day parade accuse their bosses of neglect (Kumekucha's video summary)

Some officers were fed on bread and water for the full month they were in camp to rehearse for Madaraka Day.

Kenya Police Services who took part in the just concluded Madaraka Day celebrations have now accused senior officials of neglect. 

The officers who say they were staying in Training Camps decried what they said are deplorable conditions they were subjected to including having to forgo meals for days.

the coordinated matches were cries of a disgruntled service which had reportedly been enduring hardships for the better part of me officers attached to the Kenya Police Service accused senior officials of neglect which included the quality of food offered to the officers who resided at the training camp for close to one month to prepare for the country's internal rule celebrations. 

The officers had to endure daily basis threats and most of them even claim that they were asked to part with 5,000 Shillings in

order to secure the new ceremonial uniforms. Those who could not raise the money were forced to either borrow from colleagues or make do with dirty uniforms that had been brought in. 

The food was also hard to bare and hardly befitting officers participating in such an important national day celebration, the officers complained.

They spoke to a local TV station while hiding their faces, identity and masking their voices.
