Anxiety and political tension grip Kenya
The ODM is reportedly threatening to relaunch mass protests if the Annan talks do not break the political deadlock. This is what they are saying. What are they (strategically) planning?
Both the PNU and ODM have announced their official positions on power sharing but the difference is a stark as day and night. While the ODM supports a grand coalition power sharing plans that will create the post of a Prime Minister with Executive powers as Head of Government and Kibaki as Head of State, the PNU is hiding behind the current colonial treaty constitution (which PNU ironically agrees is long overdue for comprehensive reform) by saying Kibaki is "willing to work together and share responsibilities in government" with ODM, and that any deal "must be in tandem with the current Kenyan constitution". Can someone tell me what it means to share responsibilities in state governance?
The country is getting anxious and tension is building as signs of failure are beginning to dawn on citizens. Sensing ‘victory’ over the mighty USA and EU, PNU MPs are telling-off anyone who dares to offer advise of the way forward. One only needs to listen to FM call-in programs to gauge the mood of the nation and what the people want.
Even as their party threatens mass action, ODM MPs are said to be seriously looking at pursuing a secession agenda. Some MPs have been overheard saying that ODM can ‘comfortably’ reduce Central Province to an (isolated) country like Lesotho.
Lesotho is wholly surrounded by South Africa and economically integrated with it as well. Its geographical position makes it extremely vulnerable to political and economic developments in South Africa. Would central province be prosperous in similar circumstances if a New Kenya was to secede?
President Bush recent utterances leave little doubt that Kenya will be allowed to degenerate into another African failed state. News from the countryside indicates militia are re-arming. But then like Wetangula says: “Putting a gun on PNU’s head and saying 'either or' will be a making a big mistake”.
All I can say is: We shall see.

ReplyDeleteKibaki's offer of bringing in ODM into the govt. without power and a new constitution in 12 months is even less than his 2002 promise (coaltion + 100 days for constitution).
At the moment the only thing we can hope for is that the Nigerian diplomat who has just arrived to assist Annan will take some of the pressure off him and inject some life into the process.
ReplyDelete@ victor...if wishes were horses, then beggars like you would ride. Please WAKE UP and stop dreaming!
ReplyDeleteAGAIN YOU ARE WRONG IN SAYING ODM IS PLANNING MASS DEMONSTRATIONS!
ReplyDeleteNOPE- NOBODY IS GOING TO THE STREETS TO BE KILLED EXCEPT FOR OUR ARMY!! AND POLICE ALIGNED TO KENYANS
EVERYONE WILL STAY AT HOM NO WORK - IT WILL BE A GHOST NAIROBI- THIS WILL MAKE IT EASIER FOR OUR PEOPLE TO TARGET THE MUNGIKI'S AND THE KIKUYU'S WHO ARE LOOKING TO KILL INNOCENT KENYANS!!
mY QUESTION IS?? IF KENYANS ARE NOT ON THE STREETS ?? WHO WILL THEY KILL??
I'm a Kenyan Somali, ask me what drives people nuts. I wish I was Kibaki adviser and tell him more on many issues but he is surrounded by Stone Age home guards who have enslaved their community through planting hatred to other people and outright manipulation while they privately benefit. There is nothing that unites Kenya and Kenyans. Absolutely nothing except respect and sharing which Kibaki is refusing thinking that by humiliating others, he will emerge victorious. Siyad Barre of Somalia was asked after he fell: "What did you learn?" He answered: "I learnt that people can live with corruption, tribalism, nepotism and selective justice but not humiliation. If they feel violated, they will demand death. The more you bomb them, the more they surge forward." Kibaki violated Kenyans as he humiliated them through the TOP-UP infamy which ridiculed other tribes and reduced their votes to nothing. They bit the bullet and demanded 50% from the world's oldest notorious thief yet he and the home guards and poor Kikuyus who were brainwashed don't understand it. Kenya is at the end of the line and mark my words. Both the yam and the knife is in the hands of Kibaki. Would anyone advise him? Should a war start and it will start between GEMA vs the rest, you should know how good it was to prevent it from the beginning. But by then, it will be too late. I hope Kibaki will get the message. No one will consume his bunkum and shit, it is either he gives back what he has stolen through power-sharing (50:50) or he will have to wipe out ODM tribes for him to rule. And you know who will be overrun when the fire starts. The choice is his.
ReplyDeleteVictor:
ReplyDeleteI would like to know how old you are and whether you have family on the displaced camps as we speak.. You seem to be a fighter. I hope you voted.
Kenyans need men like you, but not behind computer screens but on the ground.
By the way Kibaki joined politics when he was hardly 30 yrs old. Raila may be earlier 13 or 14 yrs old may be.
But i have no recollection Kenya belonging to Kenyans and Not Kikuyu`s. I thought Kikuyu`s are Kenyans, correct me on that.Such kind of utterances are unfortunate, very inciteful and regretable. Raila and Kibaki are hurting Kenyan`s as a Whole because of their own selfishness ---POWER.
We shoukld be asking these fake leaders Kibaki and raila to pave way for NEW LEADERS.
We should also be addressing issues like why 45 yrs later, after independence, more than 80% of Kenyan`s have No Electricity, No running water, No health plan and our MP`s and other politicians earn more than their counterparts in the western countries that give Kenya AID and Loans.
Unbelievable....that`s why this CROOKS ARE GEARED TO POWER, and have no interest of the common man.I`m not talking about Kikuyu`s, Victor...
They are also suffering like other tribes. We are talking Politicians....
So, please spare your energy and join us on the ground to fight these glutons in power and re-claim our country.
that is it its time for a kenya without central province.people are loosing their patience with this PNU bull shit.
ReplyDeleteyani they are just joking with kenyans who want change.
mk and his men are messing about.
I have always called for secession to be put on the table as an alternative.
ReplyDeleteNot the violent one some people are calling for but a split on the premise we can not live together. Kenya is not a sacred entity. It a circumstantial historical happening of British imperialism. If the glue that binds us together can not hold us. Then we have to let go.
Otherwise we are going to spend the next decade fighting and in the end get the federalism we have been calling for.
Defacto we have federalism in Kenya. Lets not wait time and energy trying to hold a flawed entity together. Lets not spill blood to hold an empty shell together.
The national anthem too has become an empty emotional song that is meant to hypnotize me while I am being screwed, the flag to cover the cadaver of violated sould
LET KENYANS MAKE A DECISION LIKE KOSOVO!!!!

ReplyDeleteMUNGIKI AND TALIBAN FIGHT FOR SPACE IN MATHARE
ReplyDeleteArticle courtesy of Evans Wafula-Abunuwasi.com
Illegal militiamen are terrorising Nairobi slums transforming them into no-go zones and killing or injuring innocent civilians on ethnic consideration.
Speaking to this writer, Steve Oudo, a resident of Mathare slum said the attackers who struck at night were dressed in black and were armed with machetes. It is reported that young Kikuyu youths have been recruited to evict non-Kikuyu's from houses in the slum.
In Kibera and Huruma slums, residents continue to live in fear as gangs of marauding youth continue to man streets in no-go zones for members of the rival community.
The Luo have assembled the Bagdad boys, Taliban youth, Sakina youth, Dallas youth all drawn from the Luo community while the Kikuyus are relying on the Mungiki to manage affairs in the slums.
“We are moving from door to door asking people to identify themselves because we do not want outsiders in here. We now own everything within our space and they (Kikuyus) who originally lived here have surrendered their houses to us since they had to move to their territory. Everyone here must respect the Gaza Strip in Kibera and Mathare", Owino a member of Taliban told this writer.
At least two people were reported killed and a dozen sustained injuries when violence erupted in the slum on Tuesday nights. Police have mounted a door to door search of members of the out-lawed Mungiki sect who have been terrorizing residents.
"They were over hundred youths armed with bows and arrows, many of them were dressed in black, they told us that they are under instruction not to kill anybody but to force us out of our houses", Oudo said.
Schools in the slums have also been temporarily suspended due to lack of security for pupils and teachers.
Despite the progress so far achieved in the mediation talks and the latest boost from the United States, tension built up over the delay to reach a political settlement. President Mwai Kibaki yesterday announced that any form of deal must conform to the existing constitution casting doubt for an agreed deal in the nearest time possible.
In the areas that were most affected by the post-election violence, fear is raising over the uncertainty of a power-sharing deal between ODM's Raila Odinga and PNU's Mwai Kibaki who have come under international pressure to resolve Kenya's political crisis.
Fears of a plot to recruit militias in Rift Valley and in Nakuru are being confirmed as both parties maintain hard-line positions.
"We are watching at the pace of the talks and hope that they will succeed. However, in case they fail, we have a plan B that will lead to regime change in Kenya. Kibaki should pave the way for credible leadership or prepared to take the responsibility", said a militiaman who spoke anonymously to to the writer.
During the post-election violence, Kericho and Eldoret were swept through by a wave of systematic ethnic cleansing pitting the Kikuyu tribe against the Kalenjin.
The opposition Orange Democratic Movement of Raila Odinga accuses President Mwai Kibaki, a Kikuyu, for stealing the December 27 vote..
Analsyst including former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, who is chairing the mediation talks aimed at brokering peace between ODM and PNU, described the attacks against the Kikuyu community as 'ethnically motivated cleansing' and called for the UN involvement in investigating the killings.
Kenya stands divided along ethnic lines, and perhaps the worst is yet to happen as the talks hang on the balance.
Across the political divide, expectations are high that a power-sharing arrangement would be reached soon as most Kenyans struggle with the fragile economy which has witnessed its almost recession peak in the last one month.
@8.40 anon. Please stop hiding under the guise of 'wote ni wezi'. That is the typical Kikuyu excuse. When you are caught stealing you say everybody is a thief. Sorry this will not work this time.
ReplyDeleteKibaki is the problem and we must deal with him. He must be kicked out of the country. Resigning is no longer an option. ALUTA CONTINUA!!!!!
And yes I di have relations in the IDP camps in Thika. Unlike the Kyuks who were flown out of Nakuru, the rest of Kenyans chased from Central were squized in lorries and whisked to Kakamega. Is that justice??
Kibaki is the president of Centarl only.

AU commission chief to visit Kenya over political turmoil
Africam Union Commission chief Jean Ping will make a two-day visit to Kenya for talks with former UN chief Kofi Annan who is mediating the country's political turmoil, the pan-African body said Wednesday.
Ping, expected to arrive in Nairobi on Thursday at 10.00 am (0700 GMT), will also hold talks with government and opposition negotiators, it said in a statement.
"He hopes to receive a brief on the progress of the mediation process so far ... He will also hold consultations with government officials on AU matters," the statement added.
Annan is chairing an AU panel brokering a deal between President Mwai Kibaki and opposition chief Raila Odinga to end the turmoil, sparked by disputed December 27 elections, and has killed more than a 1,000 lives and displaced hundreds of thousands.
Odinga claims he was rigged of the presidential victory.
Annan has barely made progress with the opposition accusing the government of delaying the talks to end the crisis.
The political row has tapped into simmering resentment over land, poverty and the dominance of the Kikuyu, Kibaki's tribe, in Kenyan politics and business since independence from Britain in 1963.
THE ONLY KIKUYU'S WHO ARE TURE KENYANS ARE THE ONE'S WHO BELIEVE IN MUST HAVE DEMOCRACY!
ReplyDeleteAND MUST UNDERSTAND THAT ALL THOSE KENYANS WHO DIED DID NOT DIE IN VAIN!! AND A POWER-SHARING GOVERNMENT AND AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION IS THE ONLY WAY FORWARD FOR THE PEOPLE OF KENYA!
OTHERWISE I SUGGEST THE REST SHOULD FOLLOW KIBAKI AND MARTHA KARUA TO UGANDA OR SOMALIA=
OR NOT BOTHER BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO isolate YOU LIKE THE ISLAND OF LESOTHO WHICH IS SURROUNDED BY SOUTH AFRICA-(central province is landlocked)
yes maybe you need a new passport for the kikiyu land locked central island:):)

ReplyDeleteVictor says the truth. There has been an extremely biased relief effort by the government. While nearly 600 million shillings has been spend on IDPs from central Kenya, People displaced from Central have had it rough. I read a story of a person who had to cycle from Nakuru to Kisumu in fact on the way he met thugs who gave him 50sh to buy water!
Anon@9:46 AM
You will have to get rid of many people, for outside your ethnocentric Kikuyustan, most Kenyans think like Victor. and yes we know you want and you won't hesitate to get rid of us.
Am a serious believer. I believe in the power of Prayer.
ReplyDeleteBut how can God accept it that the Holy book was used by Kibaki to steal elections?
Is this not abusing God.
And for your information, the greatest sin (read the Bible) is arrogance. For it is arrogance that leads one to say "there is no God". If there was God, for Kibaki, would he not fear him while abusing the Holy book?
The same Bible tells us that Faith without action is dead. So pray and take positive actions.ask thieves to live moral ways.
And from there, all we need is to THANK for the good things that will follow Kenyans. We may never need to PRAY, but to THANK the Almighty for the gifts that will follow.
If the church leaders had not ignored these basic teachings, then we would not have been where we are. Njue is a personal friend to Kibaki, but tribalism led him astray at that hour that Kenyans needed him most
you pnu fool -now you are running scared!!!why should we wait!!we gave e the central thieves a chance and they have spat on our faces all week abused the intelligence of kenyan people regarding the changes to be made on the constitution directly to enable a coalition governments!! NO more waiting!! let you go to the island of central kenya!!! go go!!move!! go rule yourselves and let mungiki police you!!and circumcise and rape your daughters!!!!No point of return !!it is now or never!!Kenyans I can see a light at the end of the tunnel-
ReplyDelete1. they have murdered our families
2. abused and raped our children
3. spat on our faces in public
4. wiped their asses with our tears
5.and on top of all this they keep on abusing our intelligence!!!

@anon 9.48. The only Kikuyus who are Kenyans are the ones who denounce the travesty being visted upon Kenyans by Kibaki. The rest must find a home in Central. And yes you need new passports. You must pay for your failure to join other Kenyans fighting for democracy.
ReplyDeleteWe don’t want you in Rift Valley, Kisumu, Coast etc. You must remain in Centarl with Kibaki as your king. We just want you to be happy as you mingle with your fellow Kikuyus only in Centarl. If you want to be spared you must be prepared to spear the thieves of the vote.

The truth is people hate kikuyu's and the worst thing is that people avoid going there. When you can say you hate the kikuyus and then state why and then the kikuyu can speak on his behalf and then a truce is reached, maybe Kenya can move forward. I am a kikuyu and have never felt more isolated than now, and I have never identified myself only by my tribe, I am Kenyan, and if people want Raila, as much as I hate it, I will accept it because the majority say so, but I will not continue to accept bad leaders forever and unfortunately Kibaki and Raila fall into that category, and victor why dont you call up the media stations such as capital or ktn and say what you are saying here. Lets see if it will take you anywhere
ReplyDeletewhy do people associate PNU with Kikuyu? Why are they punishing kikuyu's because pnu has a kikuyu leader? I wouldnt punish luo's because they have Raila! The bullshit vipi, is this PNU=Kikuyu bullshit stop thinking you are speaking for all kikuyu's when you mention PNU, that is wrong and if we collected data, you would find that Kikuyu's voted for all parties. Its starting to become irritating as a kikuyu always defending yourself. I am an individual, I am Kenyan, I am part of the youth I hold more importance to my nationality than to my ethnic identity, in fact my ethnicity is integrated into my nationality and I like many Kenyans support my Kenyan people. and that goes for alot of Kikuyu's

anon @10.09, I will not hesitate to get rid of a tribalist, hating a kikuyu is tribalist the same way nazi's hated jews and the same way a kikuyu can hate a luo or kalenjin or whatever, its all tribalism, so dont try to justify your actions, you are tribalist victor and so are you 10.09, and you should be sentenced the same way that nazi guy was sentenced, for even insulting kikuyu;s and calling it kikuyustan. There are dirt poor kikuyu's who cannot even afford food, or shelter, there are kikuyu;s who worked hard like other tribes and have seen their dreams go up in smoke thanks to stupid leaders. Then we have people like you who add salt to the wounds and make them feel like shit because they happen to belong to an ethnic group that has had leaders who chose themselves, to benefit their fellow friends from the same ethnic group. You are twisted and you dont even deserve the death im proposing you deserve to live and pay for your actions, death would be the easy way out
ReplyDeleteIt’s not that people hate Kikuyus. People hate what they do. They are mostly thieves as seen by Kibaki. They are mostly arrogant as seen by Karua. They are mostly violent as seen by Lucy and Mungiki. They are mostly dishonest as seen by Kibaki. They are mostly tribalsits as seen by Kimunya in Finance ministry.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying all Kikuyus but most. Kibkai stole and even today Kikuyus are protecting the biggest thief of all. Why? It is their nature.
Anon 10.44am hating Kikuyus like Karua and Michuki is not tribalism.
ReplyDeleteIt is a silent fight against an oppresive force which if left to thrive will destroy us all (including you).
yes we are done with central province- they can be ruled by kibaki and martha karua- I'm sure it will be Kazi as usaul
ReplyDeleteI DON`T THINK THE KIKUYU`S HAVE EVEN READ BETWEEN THE LINES WHAT KENYANS ARE SAYING TO THEM ALL OVER- BELIEVE ME IT IS ALL OVER KENYA AND EVEN ABROAD-
KENYANS FEEL ABUSED BY THIS TRIBE- THEY EVEN WENT HANDING PM BROWN A PETITION WHICH THE WHOLE WORLD READ ON THE INTERNET- THAT OTHER TRIBES ARE MADE UP OF LAZY FISHERMEN, COW HERDERS AND SMALL SCALE LAZY FARMERS
KENYANS ARE TIED OF THE THIEVES WHO TURN AROUND AND SPEW SHIT ON THEM!
IT IS TIME FOR THE DIVORCE THE MARRIAGE WITH THE CENTRAL PROVINCE IS OVER!!
Victor you forgot, they are the MOST SELFISH, Raila's dad left for Jomo, Raila left for Kibaki, they only think of themselves, that is why people cannot stand these things from Central.
ReplyDeleteguys,
ReplyDeletewe can still keep it a little civil if we tried
yes, i have always said self determination and/or secession is the way out and mostly agreeable and is possibly a win-win solution for both PNU and ODM supporters
because (a little wishful thinking but still think about it)
a) irreconcilable differences between core PNU support vs core ODM support
b) core PNU support (over 80%) central and eastern provinces, core ODM support over 80% RV, Coast, Nyanza, Western, referendum or political settlement for Nairobi as capital or economic hub
c) threat of insecurity caused by militia gang will dissipate as they are absorbed into the regular and maybe "disciplined" armies of the two seperate states to protect the borders and stop the other form crossing over. (one state may inherit thugs only, I shudder to think of that)
d) cross border trade to continue like any other economic activity as with any other trader country.
e) regional trade blocks can be setup if necessary
f) while establishing the two states, set up safe passageways to allow members from communities wishing to reside in the other state to cross over, and at the same time mandate the two states to make note that address and are sensitive to the anxiety of the now new minority population deemed to be from neighboring state but which has willingly relocated due to affiliation with political movement or ideals. this includes settlement and investment concerns
g) most thorny issue and this is the reason secessation will meet stiff resistance, method for handling the compensation or trade off for the investments in the neighboring state likely to be forfeited by reason of relocation. surprisingly, its only those with 50000 acres plus of dubious allocated land that will cry the loudest. any other ordinary kenyan who duly purchased property will already have mechanisms
YOU CAN HATE RAILA ALL YOU WANT!! RAILA DIDN'T STEAL KENYANS DEMOCRACY!! DON`T PUT HIM ON THE SAME LEVEL AS YOUR THIEVING THUG KIBAKI!! AS FOR KTN AND THE REST!! CONTROL BY KIKUYU`S JUST LIKE THE NATION PAPER!!WHY BOTHER=

ReplyDeleteWho told you that all Kikuyu's steal or all Kikuyu's are protecting Kibaki? Look at the bigger picture, the only selfish thing kikuyu's are doing are protecting their individual interests, and maybe wrongly they are looking towards kinship and ethnic ties but its because the whole of Kenya is against them and they are being punished for the faults of their leaders, which has pushed them into a corner. when you are pushed into a corner you get defensive and its wrong but that is the reality of the situation. Why is there an obsession with putting the community before the individual? Put yourself in the shoes of a kikuyu lady who runs a kiosk in mathare slums and then has been raped and chased out of her home and is camping with her kids in the police station. Do you think she deserves that because Kibaki was stubborn and stupid and decided to swear himself in 30 mins after the announcements were made? Victor, if you want to be a true statesman and a true leader you would be thinking of ways to 'unbrainwash' those Kikuyu's that vote along ethnic lines, not punishing them for generations of mistakes and a colonial legacy that existed before most of them were born. Listen to Somalians, Sudanese and Rwandese talking, they have understood that fighting isnt the answer and if you propose that kikuyu's should be punished, then you are tribalist because you lump them into a hideous label, when there are individuals to consider.
kikuyus have a knack of being in denial.talking in their language in the presence of others, isolating themselves, finding it very hard to accept outsiders, being insulting about other peoples culture, voting only for kikuyus.you people need to change and learn how to accommodate other people.these are the reasons why other tribes hate you.you have a terrible sense of arrogance and its baseless because you are not superior to anybody.if you were trully genuine you would denounce kibaki and his theft and try and speak to him.i mean how hard can this be?your businesses are suffering, you are all getting isolated more and more.yet you keep supporting kibaki, forming silly groups like GEMA community abroad, encouraging mungiki??!do you people honestly think you can kill all the other tribes of kenya?its like you are all under the spell of those primitive oaths you take.its plain evil.you just cannot go on with this kind of crazy insane lucy-like lunacy.sorry but the truth hurts.
ReplyDeletethe worst thing kikuyus dont realise is that every kenyan non-kikuyu is having the same thoughts victor has-sad but true!!
ReplyDeleteplease get off your high horses and listen! you cannot be seen to actively support a thief! that way people lump you together and call you an accomplice!!
listen to what you are being told. other people dont come out to talk about it like victor has-but trust me they are thinking it, if you ask me victor compared to other people is child's play.
The problem is easy to solve, just kill these 'things' (politicians) from central who are raping the country and then we will have our kikuyu brothers together in a prosperous country. Final.
ReplyDeleteanon @10.58 it can be any media outlet even al qaeda tv if that exists, go state your view that you despise kikuyu's and want to get rid of them. I dont like Raila plain and simple. Not because he is a luo, (infact im all for a change in tribe, it would increase legitimacy in the state), but because his ideology is inherently socialist, and that to me reduces the freedoms of individuals to be able to play a part in free markets. Raila wants a centralised government that heavily intervenes in regional decision making and resource allocation, and that is not the way to go. Im a moderate capitalist and that is why I dont support him. Most Kenyans obviously vote in a very simple way, but my vote goes to the leader that offers the best long-term strategy for Kenya, and whilst Raila has even been saying he will help the people, every time he is asked how he doesnt have an answer! it has to be solid policies, like spending a proportion of revenues earned through tax especially in Nairobi (which holds 60% of the GDP) in regional and local areas, with the aim of improving the standards of living, skills, capacity building, infrastructure and community participation in decision making in their areas. None of these men have said that and the people who have been visionaries Anyang'nyong'o, Tuju etc are not strong enough in politics as yet. Kibaki had great potential in Kenyatta's time, and he was a visionary and he's lost sight of alot of that, but looking at the results of his policies, you can see that there is a transfer of spending from white elephants to public goods and thats why he would have been a logical choice for 2007, but as I said if Kenyans feel Kibaki isnt up to the job, I would support Raila, provided he does better!
ReplyDeleteTrust me Kikuyu's have known for a long time that they are perceived as arrogant and maybe they are arrogant. But its still no reason to hate all of them. As a kikuyu i denounce Kibaki's corruption, and lack of keeping promises. BUT I am not going to accept being insulted because I dont support Raila, as I said above I will vote for the leader that offers the best-long term strategy, it would be the same way I voted for Tony Blair in 2004, his policies were more in line with what I believed in
ReplyDeleteIT IS A CLASS and NOT A TRIBAL war
ReplyDeleteThe sooner we get to understand the situation the better.
Why is Mutula in this negotiating table. He is from ODM-k
The conflict is between ODM and PNU
Mutula is a lawyer to Moi/Biwhat axis..He represents the looters of Kenya
Kibaki, poor soul is a slave. But as has been pointed before, all stops at his doorstep.Who said he has no alternative?.He can feign illness-he is already ill,if not senile!
Raila told kivuitu he had an alternative to declaring fraudelent results-to resign then He ignored all this.Look at the fellow today. He has gone berserk! For too much blood is in his hands.he can never escape from this.
I dont understand, how these OLd/senile men miss the truth.Seems Makerere was never good for Kenyans.
The sooner we accept that these looters are the ones messing up Kenya, then all tribes in Kenya will rise against them.
If the agenda for cessassion is pushed through, who loses most?.Ordinary Kikuyus or these looters.By the way, these ordinary Kikuyus have a claim against the Uhurus who stole their land in central province. They took their land and "threw them away to being in the disaspora.
Have you seen how Uhuru Kenyatta "mentions" Grand coalition. The Looters will lose more than ordinary Kikuyus.
It pains me most when I realize how many brainwashed ORDINARY Kikuyus we have.Yet they unknowingly, are furthering the interests of looters-Goldenburg,Land looting,Anglo leasing etc.Interests that they never and will never gain from.
How can we Educate these Ordinary kikuyus to join the Grand dream of fighting the looters of Kenya?.For the benefit of ALL Kenyans.
I repeat that it is a class war.Not a tribal war.And if Kibaki is the instrument for the looters, let him face it personally.Save the Ordinary Kikuyus. They did not steal the elections.some, legimately bought bought land outside Central province. But is there time to educate them? Their enemy is Kibaki and co.Who can tell them this?
As for Kambas. time is proving that Kaloozer is an opportunist. Betrayer.Iscariot as it is.He has no interest of his people at all.
He was in the plans of Moi/Biwhat agenda.
Watch the game as it unfolds.sadly, blood of very innocent Kenyans is involved.May we punish the perpetrators at some stage in the future
All those folks crying about being hated, consider this point and ask your self why
ReplyDelete1: In 2002 Kibaki got votes from all all over the country. He got all the votes in Nyanza and Western. He did not get all the votes Central. How come people who voted for him in 2002 now passionately hate him?
Instead of saying people hate you look at the reason why the rain is beating up on you.
Do you think the behavior of Kibaki and his cronies has endeared his community to other Kenyans?
That is why I support tnk@10:54 am and the ever succinct fave of bg@8:50 AM on the need for secession to be put on the table. I f we can not live together then we have to break up.
I mean if other Kenyans hate you so much why do you want to stay with them. They are offering your own country, why do you refuse that? Look at what you get, let me paint a picture if I might be so bold. Imagine only hardworking business savy people in 'Kikuyustan' that is paradise if you ask me. No fishermen, herders, farmers, uncircumcised men, watchmen, close your eyes and imagine, those snow covered peaks of the Mountain so majestic. How I wish I was from central Kenya and could join that already successful country before it is founded.
Meanwhile lets agree on one thing;
INTERNAL COLONIALISATION SHOULD BE FOUGHT WITH THE SAME VIGOUR AS EXTERNAL COLONIALISATION.
i feel uncomfortable in this forum now...
ReplyDeleteplease dont call kikuyu cockroaches....on account of kibaki's stupidity.
the hutus called tutsi's cockroaches and thats how rwandan genocide started people wanted to finish the cockroaches.
i may not like the kikuyu or agree with the way they conduct their affairs and their arrogance but please?!
Since secession is a big debate here, how do you propose its done? Who gets Nairobi? How are government resources distributed so that there can be a secession? Who keeps the title of Kenyan? Will the other state be recognised? And I dont think kikuyu;s would want to secede you would be very surprised. Look at Kosovo, how many years has it taken for them to secede? and not even all the states recognise them so they have a long way to go before being called a state. and central divides Coast Province and Western Kenya, how would you propose running a govt for all the rest of the provinces when your boundaries are so difficult to draw? Is there any state on this planet that has a country in the middle of theirs? If Kenya had followed the same route as Tanzania with strict nation-building policies we wouldnt be in this situation, we would all be Kenyans, and there would be equity. I agree with 11.17 its much more that ethnic, its class because there are people who live like kings in Kenya whilst others cannot even scrape together anything
ReplyDeleteThank you 11.29, as a kyuk i can accept that we are arrogant but saying cockroaches is a bit much
ReplyDeleteanon@11:29 AM
ReplyDeletewho said Kikuyus are roaches? moderator please delete such posts. I favor secession but no dehumanizing any one. That applies to both sides of the debate.
There are a lot of Kikuyus who may perhaps be even more pro ODM in belief of demcoratic rule and tranpsarency and accouuntability than some ODMers.
ReplyDeleteDo not throw away the baby with the bath water. Learn to distinguish between the PNU/Kibaki kikuyu supporters from the ODM kikuyu supporters.
We all know how hard it is to overcome a stereotype, and for a long time many Kikuyus had to get rid of the image of being thieves and murderers inherited from Kenyatta regime and just when they had succeeded, Kibaki and his cronies have taken them back again. And the truth is that those who support ODM are too scared of Mungiki to fight Kibaki and are instead hiding under the guise that they do not support Kibaki either, that is the plain truth and we are not helping them at all.
It is amazing how Kibaki and Kikuyustan squandered so much "goodwill" if you may in such a short time. Moi did not even accomplish that fete considering he was "Dr of Politics." What people hate is the 'two-face' they so have. In 2002, Raila was 'njamba', come 2007, they will stand by a thief regardless. This is what people cannot stand.

ReplyDeleteI might have missed the post that called Kikuyu roaches, please point it out to me. It is for me as an ODMer to read it so that I can believe what I see and then condemn it.
anon 11:50, don't bother, insults are in plenty, just ignore and post meaningful suggestions. people are getting really angry and annoying everybody else
ReplyDeleteanon@11.50 it is anon@8.40
ReplyDeleteanon@11:55 AM,
ReplyDeleteI only bothered at the insult because , I feel it was an empty claim. I might, have missed it but I do not see any post calling any one roaches here. It is meant to change the course of the blog.
I think it is a PNU tactic, if you criticize anything you are either shot,or labeled as a genocidal maniac. It makes moderates like me fear to comment because nothing of the sort has been said.
If no one called another a roach then that is PNUism raising its lying, stealing undignified head again. If not I will apologize on behalf of other secessionists.
fave ...anon 8.40 said kikuyus have been reduced to cockroaches by kibaki!
ReplyDeleteits unsettling!
hey, i simply pointed out the cockroach thing....
ReplyDeletei am not pnu am very odm!! but i dont want people called cockroaches it has bad memories!!
did you see 8.40?
It says it there, Kibaki has reduced Kikuyu;s to cockroaches, now we are the lowest form of the animal kingdom. Defending my country has been my prime objective but thanks to some of the things that people have been saying over the last 8 months on blogs, you start to wonder whether you can be proud of a state so bitter?
ReplyDeleteanon 11:29.
ReplyDeleteLets not discuss semantics,
But, On behalf of secessionists everywhere I apologize .
Secessionists will once more at the risk of sounding redundant, again apologize however misunderstood the post was.
No one is a roach
Fave is humiliated by the comment! Indeed hurt and perplexed.
ReplyDeleteFave apologizes on behalf of all pro-devolution individuals.
Kikuyus are not roaches! no one is. They are humans, africans, our collegues, wives, husbands, inlaws. and Not roaches and if anyone can talk to a roach then that person is a roach. It takes one to know another. I hope my views are universal
I, like other Kumekuchans suffer from extreme embarrassment at comment from what can only be from the lunatic fringe of thought.
Justice for all. Thanks for pointing that out. Moderator now if you could please remove the post
Chris: Your blog a year ago did not have all the hate that it has inherited from Mashada. You can go back to moderation before it escalates further. We dont mind logical arguments but some of the ideas and opinions posted here, leave a lot to be desired.
ReplyDeleteNow to my 2cents.
Annan and his crew are working on resolving the current issue but kama kawaida ya waKenya, we are too impatient to get the results.
There is a reason why Kibz and Raila are fighting politically and that's why they have reps on both sides at the table talking. Those reps represent the whole country for you and my and that of our kids. It's not an easy fix and thats why they have to iron out some finer details so that in future the playing field is level. Remember Raila and Kibz already know that their will be a coalition but their reps are trying to figure out who will hold the executive power. Kibz filled half of the cabinet with PNU and ODM-K folks and the rest will probably be filled by ODM so he didnt just outright ignore them. He knew what he was doing and we all need to take a chill pill and let akina Orengo, Sally Kosgei, Mutula and Karua do their thing.
Goodness me the hate for Kikuyu's has gone so deep in this blog, that some bloggers here have the audacity to call them COCKROACHES. If my memory bears me witness, Tutsis were called the same, (Inyenzes) I pity you Kenyans, all the grandstanding and war cries being released here is unfortunate. You've had peace for so long that you shamelessly flirt with war. Don't you understand that there is no winner in any war. If your passion for ODM can make you want to slaughter your brothers and sisters, then you are not a true supporter of your party. But then again I ask, what is this ideology that makes you so susceptible to the Devil's machinations. Remember the Lord hates hands that shed innocent blood, and if you are ready to live by the sword, be ready to die by it. As the Lord says vengeance is His. Just pray for breakthrough in the Annan talks. Ask the Lord Almighty to order the steps of those in that team as they have a momentous task, and remember do not judge.
ReplyDeleteanon@1:46 PM
ReplyDeleteGet off the high horse. Calling people roaches is wrong. But, the other side has called people from the west names too.
Furthermore, you mention God and yet fail to condemn theft the reason for the current impasse.
It is not passion for ODM it is tiredness for being second class citizens.
Finally, all sides have committed murder and if you do your math, The government side is responsible for most of the killings.
Pray that you stop being a hypocrite to mention God only when it suits you
Whom I'm I to call Kibaki thief, If I'm not sure whether he stole or not. I leave that to God Anon at 2:06. (I shall not judge, lest I be judged harshly) As for the murders, remember I pointed out that if you live by the sword you shall die by it and well as we all know it (God is no respecter of persons, me included) Whether the government killed more or not is none of my business. As I said, it is not for me to judge, I leave that to my Father in Heaven. But one thing remains, a sin is a sin, and as Proverbs 6:16-19 says:
ReplyDelete16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
Be blessed, and I'm not perfect.

ReplyDeleteIt is me anon@2:06. I think the good Lord gave us intelligence to use. While we pray we must help ourselves. There is a time for everything. Unfortunately this is time for struggle for an equal nation. But, if we keep quiet we will be straddled on be rode like a poor farmer's donkey for eternity.
I love the lord for all he has done for me. But,when we say elections were stolen, it is not a judgment it stating a fact. The chairman of ECK himself has admitted to a fraudulent election. So, I should wait for five years and then be exposed to the same? is that being a good christian?
I could name numerous Christians who have died for political justice in the modern times just as I could name many christians or members of any other religion that are complicit in injustices. Kenyan examples of the latter abound.
I think the lord will help me if I help myself. and... the devil will quote scripture for his own ends
but, you admit...'Whom I'm I to call Kibaki thief, If I'm not sure whether he stole or not' at least there is the element doubt in you. You soon will be out of the wood and see the truth
anon@2:43 PM
ReplyDeleteI posted the post you refer to. Can you do two things;
1.read the post clearly
2 and note the dates (2002 not 2007)
Then you will realize I was saying what you were saying without the screaming capital letters.
Anon @ 2:52
ReplyDeleteThank you for your response. You are a mature debater. Its a cruel world, but I refer you to Ephesian Chapter 4. When I heard of Christ, I yearned to be made new and to love. Its not bad to be angry, but in your anger do not sin. If you truly believe Kibaki is stole, Please pray for discernment so that whatever justice means you pursue, God will direct your steps. I believe one day the truth will come out. The Lord shall surely deliver us. The best we can do is pray for our brothers here who are full of rage to make wise decisions. We also have a responsibility to remind ourselves that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. At least during the day of judgement we must remember that God spoke to us in one way or the other.
those kyuks whining about being called roaches, i hope you equally condem your fellow kyuks who call other tribes kihii, dogs, slaves, houseboys, goatherders, etc
ReplyDeleteBut people can not live with 'mende' in one house!
ReplyDeleteanon@3:31 PM
ReplyDeleteI have to agree that you unfortunately make sense. Maybe more prayer and less hatred.
But, I feel that the lord has shown us the way and we have to take ourselves there. I just think it is time to clean temple as Christ would do.
What do I do when my rights are taken away today? I am living today, I have needs today. Yes the truth will come out one day. How could I love if I am being stolen from and discriminated against? What is the use of Kenya if my votes will never count? Why not break up the country? for us disenfranchised Kenyans many questions are in our minds. I admit hateful thoughts too. Is the supporter of my oppressor also my oppressor? could go on forever with the complexity of being Christian and in Kenya with our flawed nation.
But if everybody had your sense... well, no one would still elections or kill someone else.
Still an e-hug from me. Hope you practice what you preach
Anon 2:52, There is no scripture that says God helps those who help themselves...Unless i missed it so you can plz show me....Coz i am thinking when a thief is stealing isn't he helping himself to something that doesn't not belong to him and will God help him in such a situation?
ReplyDeleteAfricans, stop lying to youselves that you are christians. You are just followers of the teachings of JC as i am an applied maths student. This hogwash of PRAY, PRAY ALL THE TIME WILL TAKE US NOWHERE!! I STOPPED THE BULSHIT OF CLOSING MY EYES AND MUMBLING WORDS THAT I DONT EVEN MEAN. Africans throng churches every sunday yet they are still hating each other the moment they step out of the church. They go to church just to show off their new cars and money that they steal from the common mwananchi. THERE HAS BEEN A LIE THAT HAS BEEN REPEATED TO AFRICANS ABOUT HEAVEN. FELLOWS BLACKPEOPLE, THERE IS NO PLACE CALLED HEAVEN WHERE AFTER YOU DIE YOU WILL GO TO. This is just meant to make the oppressed IMAGINE of a place where there will be no oppression, and they can only reach that place when they are DEAD!! HATA JC DIED MANY YEARS AGO, AND THE BELIEVERS BELIEVE THAT ONE DAY HE WILL COME BACK FROM THE SKY AND TAKE THEM AWAY TO HEAVEN WITH HIM. ITS ALL A BIG LIE TO MAKE THE AFRICAN MISS THE BIGGER PICTURE. we have all the resources that can make our lives much better, but our greed and selfishness has blinded us. How do you explain a people who have all the gold, diamonds, oils, fecund soils, great lakes and rivers YET THEY ARE DIRT POOR. THE ELITES CREATED BY THE MKOLONI HAVE EXTENDED THIS SAD SITUATION.
ReplyDeleteI BELIEVE IN THE UNITY OF THE BLACK MAN AND I BELIEVE THAT ONE DAY, WE AS BLACK PEOPLE WE WILL BE ABLE TO DISCOVER WHO WE REALLY ARE, OUR TRUE HISTORY AND CHART OUR DESTINY AS A RACE.
BUT, this will not be possible in a situation where some millions of poor black people are taught to hate their brothers. I say this because my community has suffered this hatred of being seen as primitive and backward my a tribe that feels they have achieved all that they need to be modern society. THEY ARE STILL A MILLION LIGHT YEARS BEHIND. IF MUNGIKI WAS A GROUP THAT SEARCHES FOR ENLIGHTMENT, and not SUPERIORITY, I would support them. But their potrayal of african culture is just primitive. Mankind has moved from the use of smoke or horns as a communication tool to mobile phones, internet, etc. OATH TAKING will only lead to more primitivity.
My opinion on our kikuyu brothers, HOW I WISH THEY INHABITED A REGION IN THE BORDERS WITH ANOTHER COUNTRY IN AFRICA. BEING MAROONED IN THE CENTRAL OF KENYA HAS NOT HELPED THEM REALISE THAT AS AFRICANS WE ARE ONE. ASK ANY TRIBE - KURIAS ARE MORE IN TZ THAN IN KENYA - THEY KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO LIVE IN HARMONY ACROSS THE BORDERS. ANYHOW, kikuyu leaders have always been against african unity from their actions. KENYATTA DID IT - HE TOLD KWAME NKURUMAH TO KEEP HIS GHANA, WHILE HE MADE HIS COUNTRYMEN SQUATTERS - KENYATTA PREFFERED THE COLONIAL STRUCTURES THAN CREATING AN AFRICAN IDENTITY. HOW CAN KIBAKI UNITE EAST AFRICANS WHEN THEY DONT RESPECT FELLOW KENYANS. DOES HE WANT TO TELL US THAT THEY WILL TRADE WITH THE CHAGGA OR BAGANDA WHEN THEY SEE THEIR IMMEDIATE NEIGHBORS AS PRIMITIVE?
Chris
ReplyDeleteI just got this from a group of classmates ..Might be very intresting to read...It has been the cries of many in this blog....Do you think it can be true?

Subject: [Infosciences] Balala's declaration of separation
I haven't scoured all the papers but I know not many will report what
Balala said on TV yesterday. I seemed to get the message that he was
calling for a secession. You and I know, though, that this has been in
the minds of many and has been spoken about in hushed tones. It is the
first time a public utterance has been made of it by a man of stature.
It is arguable that, by attempting to legitimise an illegitmacy,
Kibaki himself seceded from the larger Kenya. Except for the visit to
Eldoret church that was burnt, he has been unable to travel much
outside State House.
Here below is a document I came across on the Internet that speaks the
same language. I think it is an adaptation of the American Declaration
of Independence.

The Declaration of Independence: A Transcription

Ivy,
ReplyDeleteIt has been spoken in hushed tones? I have been calling for it as the ultimate solution to our problems.
Just like death is the ultimate cure of all ailments, Secession is the ultimate cure for all our hatreds and inequalities.
It's sad that we would lose some great pple like Wangari Maathai, and all the Kuyks I know who beleive what Kibaki did was very wrong but their voices are drowned by Martha's arrogant rumblings....
ReplyDeleteThese great Kenyans will suffocate too under Kibaki and his cronies.
Instead of seccession why not just remove the few who are giving Kenyans problems???
I u/stand the Sabaot Land defence has upped their style and now kidnaps for Ransom.....
wachaneni......
ReplyDeleteeverything comes at a price, it would be sad to lose maathai, kiai and githongo but you know what? for the sake of peace in kenya secession is the best option!!
it would also be good for the gema republic to have people check their government these people will do that.
