Kenya News Shock: Governor Jackson Mandago and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi clashed at separate events on Sunday over the county boss's decision to run for Senate next year.
Sudi is backing other candidates for Senate; he is expected to defend his own seat. Sudi has asked Mandago to drop his bid and allow other aspirants to vie for Senate because he has served as governor for two terms.
But Mandago said he had the right to vie for any seat in the county and asked Sudi to stop thinking he can control politics in Uasin Gishu. The two are close allies of Deputy President William Ruto, who is a resident of the county.
