Why Ruto’s 2027 Strategy is Already Failing
On the Kumekucha blog today, we are diving deep into the evidence of this shift. By the end of this analysis, it will be clear that the current path of governance is creating a cycle of unrest, fear, and economic instability that threatens the very fabric of our nation.
The Spark in the Forest: Protests and Abductions
As this analysis was being compiled, Outer Ring Road in Nairobi was a "no-go zone." Intense protests erupted as police attempted to disperse angry citizens with tear gas. What was the catalyst? The abduction of Abdul Aziz Mohammed, popularly known as "Zizo."
Zizo was taken on June 23rd, just days before the major June 25th protests. His disappearance is not an isolated incident. It follows a pattern that includes the abduction of other young Gen Zs, like Davis Lichuma from Mathare. While Lichuma was eventually released—though not in good condition—Zizo remains missing.
The public outcry over these disappearances is not just about individuals; it’s about a fundamental breach of human rights. Everyone knows who is behind these "abduction units"—it is the government. In a viral video, Zizo’s mother appealed directly to President Ruto to release her son. When families and communities feel they have no other option but to protest to save the lives of their loved ones, you have a recipe for sustained, countrywide unrest.
Think of a forest fire. It starts with a single, small spark. It doesn’t matter how vast the forest is; that one spark can burn everything to the ground. This regime is currently lighting those sparks across Kenya.
The "Find the Head and Crush It" Strategy
Why is this happening? If we look at the strategy for a second term for Ruto, the pattern becomes clear. The administration seems to have adopted failed colonial-era tactics. The goal is simple: find the "head" of any threat, opposition or movement and deal with it—preferably by crushing it.
The strategy involves:
- Silencing Critics: Targeting prominent bloggers and journalists.
- Instilling Fear: Using abductions to discourage Gen Z and other activists from organizing.
- Forced Acceptance: Creating a climate of total silence so a second term can be forced upon the people, regardless of performance.
The youths being abducted are not random; they are critical leaders or influential activists within the movement protesting against the regime. Using sophisticated tracking equipment, the rogue abduction unit, controlled from State House, Nairobi, is hunting those who speak out. However, history shows that this "backlash" is destined to create a much larger problem than the one they are trying to solve.
The War on the Media
The strategy doesn't stop with activists. Information has emerged, notably shared by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, that journalists are being actively tracked. A KTN journalist, who produced a factual report on the unfulfilled promises of the Ruto administration, is reportedly being monitored 24/7.
The plan appears to be a systematic shutdown of prominent bloggers and journalists. But here is the flaw: even if you arrest 100 journalists, the media does not go silent. Instead, those who were previously quiet become louder. The backlash from the media and the youth will inevitably hit back, and unfortunately, the inevitable resulting instability affects every single Kenyan.
Economic Chaos and Policy Failures
While the government focuses on silencing dissent, Kenyans are grappling with severe financial hardships. The mismanagement of the economy is compounded by policy decisions that lack basic logic or planning.
Take, for example, the recent attempt to enforce annual inspections for all private vehicles older than four years. The NTSA recently temporarily suspended the enforcement of this law, but why was it proposed in the first place?
- Lack of Logistics: The implementation alone would take at least a year to organize properly.
- Revenue Grabbing: It was a desperate attempt to get quick money from motorists without any serious look at the consequences or even the very plan itself.
- Reality Check: The suspension wasn't a gesture of goodwill toward Kenyans; it was because the government realized the plan was physically impossible to execute as quickly as they thought it was possible to do.
This is not how you run a government. You cannot simply "do" things without thinking them through and then try to handle the fallout later. The long-suffering people of Kenya are the ones who pay the price for this trial-and-error governance.
The Truth Behind the Abduction Units
There is a deeper, darker history to these "abduction units." It did not start in 2022. This is a system with roots that go much deeper, and the details are truly shocking.
For those who want to understand the full scope of what we are facing, I have produced a Highly Sensitive Special Report that dives into the history and the "inside" information regarding these units. It is a detailed look at a system that is more than just "political"—it is evil. You can find the details on how to access this report on my Youtube channel in the description area of the video embedded on this article, above.
A Prayer for the Nation
We are at a crossroads. The direction this regime is taking us leads to a place of chaos, where no Kenyan can be comfortable. As we navigate these difficult times, we must remain informed and united.
May Almighty God have mercy on the nation called Kenya.
Stay informed, stay safe, and let us continue to demand accountability from those who lead us.
