Otieno Kajwang Gets Life Line From Raila But…
Towards the end of last week some very fascinating meetings were taking place at the Professional Centre in Nairobi. The characters in the meetings call themselves “islanders” based in the city and are mostly supporters of an aspirant for the Mbita parliamentary seat called Sammy Wakiaga.
The latest news is that Wakiaga has been “persuaded” to step down in favor of the incumbent Otieno Kajwang. Yet he had already quit his job with the NSIS (National Security Intelligence Services) where he was the chief accountant to vie for the Mbita seat.
The gentlemen were particularly incensed that Raila appears to be using his usual, underhand means to ensure that those close to him retain their parliamentary seats and yet, the group claims, the people of Mbita have had more than enough of Kajwang.
These die hard ODM supporters then went on to invoke the name of Tom Mboya’s widow, Pamela Mboya claiming Mrs Mboya was a supporter of Wakiaga and was questioning why Raila will not leave...

Chris, for once, I can trully say you have your ears on the ground. However, I wish to make a an observation. This issue doesnt just touch on Otieno Kajwang but extends to the entire Luo Nyanza region.
ReplyDeleteRaila has not prevailed upon anyone to step down for anyone. What is happening in Luo Nyanza is what has been an open secret in a long time.
You may have noticed in all of Raila's public engagement he is hardly accompanied by any Luo Nyanza MPs and/or aspirants. You may also may have heard - that the GNU/PNU have planted moles in Luo Nyanza and facilitated the same moles to obtain ODM nomination forms. It is intention of their sponsors to have these aspirants win ODM nominations and then defect to PNU at the last minute after the ECK has has closed its registers to political parties. Which will leave the ODM without any aspirant in its strongholds. It is ploy that will simply not work as these aspirants are well known. Most of them are coming through Minister Raphael Tuju while others are coming to ODM directly with the blessings of state house mandarins. Cash doesnt seem to be a problem.
Some Luo Nyanza MPs, eg. Eng. Eric Nyamunga (Nyando MP) have also been roped into this conspiracy aimed at cutting down Raila and the ODM to size. This is a fact that even the sugar cane cutters in Muhoroni and Chemelil are well aware off. Eng. Nyamunga has a superb local development record and it now seems obvious that apart from the CDF, he also is receiving a steady stream of funds from external sources who have intentions of using him to frustrate the ODM.
Please probe further and you will find that plenty of Luo Nyanza professionals are holding night meetings - Elections 2007 is the main agenda. Who is sponsoring all these meetings?
ODM IS A PARTY OF ALL KENYANS, AND RAILA 'ARAP MIBEI' ODINGA aka AGWAMBO IS THE PEOPLES PRESIDENT.
I TELL YOU ALL PNU STRATEGIST READING THIS, YOUR PLANS IN LUO NYANZA WILL NOT WORK!
How cares about jaluo Nyanza? Next year, the Kisii is going to be a province. Jaluo Nyanza shall be renamed Kavirondo. This has become necessary as the industrious kisii no longer want to share a province with idlers. Futhermore there is a great difference between an "s" and a "h" in a name. Yes... A Kisii CANNOT be a Kihii. an "s" cannot be a "h".. Have a nice day... Kioko. BC. Canada.
