Nairobians Can't Get Enough Of Raila's Hummer

Raila Odinga's latest acquisition, the Hummer utility vehicle continues to cause quite a stir in Nairobi with residents pushing and shoving wherever the Langata MP stops so that they can catch a good glimpse of the vehicle hat some say costs Kshs 43 million (while others insist that it can be acquired for slightly more than Kshs 10 million. The website says, it depends on various factors and it can cost much less than 10 million) which Raila says is a gift from friends of ODM-Kenya living abroad.

The vehicle has also been discussed in parliament with some government MPs saying that he should surrender it to the speaker since the anti-corruption and economic crimes act stipulates that gifts worth over shs 10,000 should be surrendered.

For Raila, he is enjoying the limelight that the vehicle has given him and he is always seen grinning from ear to ear through the entire journey as he patrols Nairobi during the day and will always stop to address crowds that notice him and the vehicle.

He has even christened the car 'Nyundo' which is a hammer in Kiswahili and goes further to say the current government is so rigid that it needs a hammer to be hit with and what better one than his new ride.

The 5,000cc vehicle is fire brigade red in color with tinted windows but the front passenger seat has its window constantly opened and a grinning Raila is always at hand making gesticulations as it cruises along the city streets.

Over to you, Kalonzo Musyoka.

A Little creativity made Kenyan man $1,000 in daily profits

  1. It is rather idiotic that raila, a man who has lived in granduer wealth is now confusing the public and trying to divert attention with the use of the hummer.
thousands of luos, who see nothing but raila odinga can be found in pubs praising the hummer, yet most of them cannot afford a bike.
most walk to their poorly paid jobs in industrial area from nairobi.
how many cars did cyrus jirongo have?
Let the people talk of things that will improve the lives of kenyans. why should a man drive a shs43m car yet there are not toilets in the ares he represents. he should have asked whoever (If it is true) donated the car, to donate 3m for 10 toilets in Kibera. or two classrooms in Katwekera.
Anyway, Raila is used to free things like the molasses which he cheated the luo of the cash and conned moi after being appointed minister for energy.

  2. The article should have read something like LUOS CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF RAILA"S HUMMER. It is only you guys who are talking about it,of course with the other usual suspect, the standard. Ask him to help the slum dwellers he has misrepresented for 15 years instead of behaving like a NY hip hop dude.

  3. Railas’ Hummer has nothing to do with the lack of school classes in Kibera. Lack of educational, social and health amenities in Kibera reflects solely on the failures of the government of the day. You cannot ask Raila to build a toilet in Kibera. Rather you should hold the necessary ministers and ministries in charge hostage until a few basic amenities are provided. Those who expect MPs to deliver them from harsh conditions are confused as they do not realize the neccessity of governments. Kibaki should infact camp in Kibera until Mungiki is flushed out. His citizens are not only from GEMA.
