Yes, it is Uhuru

The Supreme court president and chief justice of the republic of Kenya has just read the verdict of the court. It took his just about 10 minutes to read the decisions of the court because the reasons (full ruling) will be given in 14 days as per the requirements of the constitution.

The court has ruled that the election of Uhuru Kenyatta was valid.

This means that Uhuru Kenyatta will now be sworn in as president without hindrance.

The court also ruled that it has no jurisdiction to decide on the issue of whether or not to include rejected votes in the vote tally.

Another more detailed post will follow to analyze the impact of this ruling.

President elect Uhuru Kenyatta will now be sworn in on 9th April.

BREAKING NEWS: Skirmishes with police in Kisumu but contained running battles. No word yet from Kibera.

And so it came to pass that on this day the Supreme Court ruled that Pepo Mbaya must get out of the political arena after he refused to quit despite being red-carded by the magestic people of the republic. May he and his rundisha mkono choir politically RIP.
