Police Commissioner Who Died So Strangely And Why Raila Can Do A Lot About Solving Ouko Murder

archive

Yesterday was exactly 10 years since the death of a key witness in the Robert Ouko murder enquiry, and former police commissioner, one Philip Mule Kilonzo.

The strange circumstances behind the death of this police commissioner whose appointment was influenced by former powerful but illiterate Machakos Kanu branch chairman, the late Mulu Mutisya, happened in 1997 and still sends chills down the spines of many.

Kilonzo had already left the force and was having a beer in one of his many business premises in Yatta when he was told that there was...

  1. What a headline. By all means, this man Raila, is a brave and courageous fighter of freedom and liberty; a true gift to Kenya. However, even in his might and greatness, he cannot do everything for us. While it’s true that without Raila, the mamluks would be sitting pretty at executive Vigilance house offices, please let us not expect this Kenyan hero to cure cancer and the like. Some fetes must be left to Jesus…..even though Raila devotees can sometimes converge in multitudes of biblical proportions.

Chris, by exposing and dismantling the assassination wing of the Kibaki regime, Raila has partly fulfilled the promise to Christobel, a woman who would never wish her anguish on her worst enemy. Likewise, I want to see an end to political assassinations. Do not despair my brethren, believe me, Raila will not allow the likes of ‘presidential daughter fiancés’ to freely roam the country, occasionally shooting up an international airport or two.

The tramped up allegations of somehow financially appeasing Americans in the know are fascinating. One thing you guys forget is that Odish is possibly the most vilified and hated man in Kibaki circles. How is it, and I ask again, how is it that they cannot expeditiously nail him on any of the so called scandals he’s allegedly associated with?

    - Additionally, whereas those lacking a funny bone will find it distasteful my including of Jesus on the same sentence with Raila, I to find it highly repugnant, discussing RAO and the mysterious murder of a police boss (including headline) in the same post…..esp. in the case where they’re totally unrelated.

  2. Point of correction first Chris. Francis Musila's Wife is Lilian and not Susan unless you have re-baptized her or worse misnaming her for their former house 'girl' Susan Ndalo Were. That off my chest and back to the weighty issue of Bob Seda.

As I said yesterday and courtesy of my late dear grandma DEAD PEOPLE DON'T SLEEP NEITHER DO THEIR BLOOD DRY. Supping with the devil for political expediency never cleansed one of murder. You only sut deals over dead bodies oblivious of the haunting awaiting you. And BTW you don't have to be superstitious.

The Oukos, JMs and TJs of this world will never rest easy till their souls are appeased. It may take like forever but one day the day of reckoning will inevitably arrive. Ouko's gruesome murder was the most primitive to say the least. And blood begets more blood and that is whymore than 100 potential witnesses strating from Oyugi to heards boy Shikuku had to die.

The murders are still allive and because their lied to Kenyans they have to use other lies (read more murders) to conceal their asses. But not forever. Pio Gama may be physically dead but eternally in the hearts of every responsible Kenyan. And not for nostalgia but principles. Political assassination is not unique to Kenya. But do we have to exterminate rising starts to be left in eternal political darkness?

RAO must come clean on this and not leave it to his foot soldiers. If he cut a deal then Ouko's spirit must be latently baying for his life. Meanwhile cheap shots won't wash. For avid readers, an informed maze on Ouko's murder is in the book THE RISKS OF KNOWLEDGE: INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE DEATH OF THE HON. MINISTER JOHN ROBERT OUKO IN KENYA, 1990, published by Ohio University press in 2004. But a word of caution that must not be misconstrued as bellittling readers: This can be a very demanding that can also sometimes be daunting. But the rewarding is worth the mental and intellectual torture to a willing reader. So indulge.

Refrain: my religio is strictly between me annd my God but Ouko's choice of a church reading, Job 3: 1–11, speaks volumes in revealing his state of mind before death. So was Kilonzo's case one of IN BY THE SWORD OUT BY THE BLADE? Well, only time will tell.

  3. Taabu did u say Musila's wife is Lilian?
Chris, it is said that bottle in Matuu was fresh from the fridge. There was some curious debate on how the poison was put in there. I have no idea what happened though.

  4. Yes Vikii, Lilian Anyango Ouko is the wife to Francis Musila (the son and not the man David). She was at Alliance during her father's death, later became the school's HG and got her PhD from the US in early this decade. The couple now live in SA. Hope that is satisfactory bro, have a great day, won't you?.
