Musalia Mudavadi’s Idi Amin Comment

archive

Ever since former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi lost his parliamentary seat in the 2002 elections most Kenyans have mostly ignored his political coments which have been on the increase in recent times.

That was until his latest quip where he claimed that there was an “Idi Amin-Like-dictator” within the ODM high command.

No other statement by a politician in Kenya in recent times has been discussed so much as that particular remark. Kenyans have also been kept bust trying to guess who Mudavadi is referring to.

Many people seem to think that he is talking about Raila Odinga. But those are people who do not understand ODM politics and some of the behind-the-scenes goings-on.

Those are people who are not aware that Musalia Mudavadi stands a high chance of being the compromise ODM candidate, the ODM secret weapon that could throw the Narc-Kenya ship into chaos and a serious crisis. It is just the card that Raila Odinga would like to throw in the direction of the increasingly noisy Kalonzo Muyoka supporters.

What all this means is that chances are much higher that Musalia was talking about Kalonzo or Ruto rather than Raila. But maybe he should just stop us guessing and show the courage we expect in a presidential candidate and name the person.

Over to you Musalia.

  1. You only fault Kenyans at being cheaply predictable at your own peril. Mudavadi could be either right of dead wrong and just baby-crying depending on what side of the political divide you belong to.

Either way his comments neighbours on the outragious. Somebody expecting to elected as president must have polished language and adept at diplospeak instead of the street and crass semantics he is engaging us in. And he need to be told that besides nostalgia he has nothing to stand on polically and he is in the league of activist Umar.

Reminiding Kenyans that he has been a VP was proved that he is either politicaly naive, insensitive or plainly unschooled. What political plus is there in making history for all the wrong reason as the shortet serving VP? Political noose always come coated in sweat pills.

  2. I highly suspect that he was talking about Agwambo... but only Mudavadi trully knows. Agwambo was the first and I think the only one to respond/coment (I saw him on a KTN video clip say that he talked to Mudavadi)

  3. This is not about speculating anything. We all know who kenya's Idd Amin is. I know maniacs will be baying for my blood with all that crap about Raila's once upon a time detention. Only the foolish would think fighting a dictator automatically makes one a democrat and a champion of the downtrodden. I suppose those fellows who call Raila a democrat will with the same measure call Obote and Museveni democrats just bexcause they fought dictators.
It all started with Kalonzo who called for an end to one man show. That was a gentleman's euphemism for dictatorship. Then came William Ruto who told off those telling others to quit. He said if any of those intolerant dictators thought they had the barometer for gauging people's loyalty to the party were cheating themselves and they may as well take a hike themselves. We have always heard of Nazlin's constant complaints that there are serious dictators in Odm.
The most puzzling thing is not Mudavadi's discovery that he is doing dog work for a dictator only to end up in Nyayo house next year but how long it has taken him to discover that. Very soon the two remaining sycophants in ODM (Balala and Joe) will be telling us just as much.
Kenyans know this dictator so well and so Mudavadi's urge to kenyans to avoid him at all cost was unnecessary. very few would want anybody Idd Aminish in statehouse and that is why i have always asserted that Idd Amin Raila has a zero chance.
Even those fellas telling us Wycliffe could have been talking about Kalonzo or Ruto know deep down their hearts know who the real Idd Amin not onhly in ODM but in the countrys politics is. Do any research and 99% of kenyans will tell u he was talking about Raila. It doesnt matter who he actually meant but why is everybody concluding it was Raila? That means he surely has those tendencies.

  4. Musalia could have as well been referring to one ODM candidate who has insisted upon the rest to always agree with his proposals whenever the issue of presidential nomination comes up. He is no team player and does not believe in democracy - simply because he expected to be automaticallly endorsed as TOSHA. This is a person who has gone as far as having his henchmen openly register a "rainbow" political party as his plan B. He has been previously asked to quit ODM, but he has been steadfast in insisting he is there to stay. He is a student of the Arap Moi political college - smile with you now and do dangerous moves as soon as you step out of the room. He was virtually unknown 10 years ago, until mercifully, the rainbow wave liberated him and his cabinet colleagues from Moi's vice-like grip. That was not before a leading opposition leader of the fair sex, had consigned him and all his community's MPs, to mere spectators for the entire 1997 - 2002 parliamentary term. Still then, remained in KANU's dictatorship for another 10 years after multi-party politics was re-introduced in Kenya in 1992. Attends church every sunday, just like Moi, but what he does a night is another thing all together. Steadman polls have favoured him through and through to the point he believes he is better than anybody else. Self-proclaimed regional peace and conflict resolution specialist. Need I say more?

  6. I didn't see it (I'm not in Kenya) but why did you rush to defend Raila and point fingers at Kalonzo?

  8. Oh Raila Odinga is the most democratic person in the world. Even when he hires hooligans to beat up opponents is that not democrcy? When he sees the threat posed by Ndura Waruinge and Raphael Tuju, and decides to unleash jobless luos on them, is that not democracy? When he tells Kalonzo to quit ODM as if ODM is NDP, is that not democracy? And when he does human sacrifices as Raphael Tuju once said, Is that not democracy? He believes in the power of the people as he told us at the weekend. that is why those poor people in whose power he believes had to contribute money for a project that ended up as his family business. Democracy at his best.

Poor mindless guys, give us a break. Kibaki aendelee milele
