Mombasa has been quiet for a while but this morning (Thursday 26th Feb 2015) at about 12:30pm the normally busy Moi Avenue in the island and CBD exploded into action including a high speed car chase that led to the gunning down of two armed robbers trying to escape on a motorbike. The robbers had just robbed a car dealer on the same street and were trying to escape. Plain clothes policemen on patrol opened fire and killed the two instantly.

Chief Murdered As 12 Year Son Watches
A 12 year old boy in Embu Kenya watched helplessly as his father, an assistant chief was murdered right in front of his eyes in the most gruesome manner.
The boy recounted; "They immediately starting hacking him using machetes and axes. I tried to rescue him but they hit my hand and fractured it. They stole Sh2,000 from him."
