Government Should Declare A State Of Emergency Over Mungiki

archive

Yet another headless body was discovered this morning in the sprawling Mathare slums. This is too much. It seems that it is only a matter of time before the beheadings spread into people's homes in Nairobi, just like it happened in 1952.

The President needs to do two things pronto. Firstly, declare a state of emergency and secondly look for a new internal security minister. Somebody who will inject some new ideas into this, the biggest crisis in independent Kenyan history.

Incidentally the last time we saw so many beheadings (1952), it was being done by the Mau mau for reasons very similar to the alleged Mungiki ones. But the colonial government then took swift action and made it clear that my collaborators with Mau mau (that included people who failed to turn them in) would be considered part of the terror group. The mau mau rebellion was then viciously and decisively put down. The Kibaki administration needs to borrow a leaf from the colonial administration. We can't keep on having innocent Kenyans losing their heads. For what?

  2. These jiggers infested shamba boys from the house of Mumbi must not force the government of the sovereign republic of KENYA to bend over and get it from the ass. Whereas we are bewildered by the horrific acts of violence visited upon us in a seemingly systematic manner, Mungiki is not a sophisticated commando unit (not yet) ….beheading a chaps’ head is not rocket science. Ten beheadings is not mathematical wizardry either. A SOE will only embolden and inflate the egos of the ilk that command these nuts.

The truth of the matter is that there’s no ‘real’ political will to end this madness. With the highly rated intelligence apparatus in Kenya, it’s pretty evident that the file and rank of Mungiki leadership and financiers are well known. Since we are operating under the same constitution of Moi’s time, why can’t Kibaki just decree the detention of all these known thugs? Do any of you really believe, even for a split second, that the police commissioner, in concert with Michuki, have no idea who’s really behind this mayhem? The truth is that all these jamaas are in cahoots. The shooting of the twenty something chaps in Mathare is just a smoke screen…. no mystery solved here.

So far Mungiki is killing it’s own tribesmen/deserters etc. Wacha waanze kukill wajaka na wasakhulu. That’s when the real bloodshed will begin. With the amount of money they’ve collected (unabated by Kibaki), I will not be surprised if a cache of sophisticated arms and arsenal is in transit to Kiambu. Michuki’s friends (Margayan) may have been up to something here.

By the way, does Mungiki have a computer/internet intelligence unit? Are they really able to find out who I am and where I live? Please tell me guys, I kind of love the way my beautiful head rests on my shoulders.

  3. Kalamari I just loved the way you decribed your beautiful head resting on your shoulders and I dont think there is anyone who would like there heads to be plucked from their shoulders. Thats why many who know about mungiki and there whereabouts cant dare open their mouths lest the information gets to the wrong person.

This morning Classic 105 fm was talking to a certain John (I think its not hes real name,) he says he joined mungiki unwillingly when he was looking for a matatu job and a friend took him to some house where rituals and taking oaths took place. Two things he said caught my attention, he said once you join they will watch your actions but you will not be aware until they summon you. He was told he wasnt practising the religion as required because he was going to church. So I think most guys who where beheaded are those who defected and could easily betray the members to the police. The other thing he mentioned is that they want to be like Al qaeda, this sent chills in my spine and trully the guys have started behaving like Al qaeda only missing explosives.

What I can say is the govt has been sitting on a time bomb, that has started detonating. So as Chris says the Govt should declare a state of emergency over mungiki and face them head on.

Blame games between Raila and Kamanda will not help, let those arrested reveal the leaders involved (unless its similar to the Atur's saga, then the truth will come out soon).

  4. Can Kibaki please tell the public why we should give a flying fuck, pardon my french, as to why it should matter if the economy grew six percent when in the real sense we should be more concerned if we will wake up headless or not. Last time i checked, this wasn't rwanda...or is it???
