One excellent thing that is happening in Kenya which has never happened before in history is that we have started discussing issues and putting across serious proposals. That, my dear friends has never happened before. And while the kind of Kenya I and many readers of this blog have in mind is still way beyond reach at the moment, we should not despise the day of small beginnings, because above all I am a realist.

Obviously there are many of you that are anxious for me to support one of your presidential candidates, but this blog will never do that and please remember that by criticizing proposals, I am NOT against your preferred presidential candidate, in fact my hope is that their handlers can make adjustments so that those ideas are more practical and easier to implement.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteJust read a your statement that you are a realist. Do you know what you are talking about? Realism is about power, state power at that and nothing else. Are you a realist? Moi was a realist per excellence, Kibaki too is but Raila is not! Kenya's constitution is realist!
As whether Chris is a realist is not for me to judge but since the trumpet is his he can chose to blow it even harder, whynot?
ReplyDeleteBut first things first. To set the reccord straight realism is an invaluable asset that has absolutely nothing to do with raw power unless we confuse it with opportunism. The two are as distant as Mars and Saturn, period.
The present showbiz packaged as vision-launching sessions among our 'leaders' is the height of lack of political creativity. All the so-called visions are nothing but populist statements that are just but a contellation of shameless cut-and-paste copies of the same stuff. Whom are they fooling? Your guess is as good as mine because even when they lie through their sparsely spaced teeth, we are the same ones who will jump to their defense at any opportunity in the name of of 'loyalty, while the true motivation lies else where far removed from the pretence.
For every stinking rot, there lies some clean fly ready to soil its wings and mouth. The charades clothed as launches is good for our fledging democracy albeit at the price of militant psychophancy. Give it to Kenya for showcasing robust democracy and campaigns close to a year befoe the polls. Speak of dancing yourself lame to copyrights oblivious of the original tunes and melody!
The downside is the insesintivity visited on the general Kenyan as evident in reckless oppulence on display as he dances himself stupid on an empty stomach while shoting himself hoarse backing a fraudulent horse. We are our worst enemies, aren't we?
Chris is right to observe that talk is cheap and not walking the talk is an insult to our collective intelligence. But he too misses the boat by a river not to recognize that his grandiose plans to spur development must be anchored on policies which unfortunately must be formulated by the same scoundrels and dinosaurs we have presently.
We need a rebirth and only a new generation of leaders can do us any good. Our bodies are willing but the resolve (read committment)is weak. Unless that si done, we must brace ourselves for the beautiful ride around circles.
Taabu, tafadhali tumia Kiswahili!
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteThanks for being such a faithful mascot. The vigilance and resilience in your crusade is unparalleled if only it was never personal. Well, I smell vendetta miles away and I know it when I see one.
Allow me to take off my gloves and share with you some home truths please. Being vindictive is the epitome of pettiness. Shadow boxing is not mentally wasteful but an exemplification of inverted priority. Employing reasoning from the lower faculties only succeeds in debasing your otherwise latent intellect. Why would you compete with apes on matters reflecting the quality of what lies in between your eyes?
You add no premium to your personal standing and integrity by substituting shouts for arguments, or do you? You need your two-cent advice more than me please and you better take full dose lest you constipate on absurdity and all its derivatives.
Hiding under an anonymous tag is such a plastic cover that only exposes your propensity to goof intellectually. You have goofed full time severally and your personal tirades have earned you this favour of a reply. You are more than welcome to continue with your faceless bile in the knowledge tat they only reveal your dark conscience.
We reason best by contrast and that is why you won't know you are tall till you meet a shot person. Similarly, your make me award apes the highest IQ award. Thank God for small mercies like the internet where we can anonymously broadcast hollowness. With due respect please take note that foul-mouth never sanitized any balderdash from dimwits. Keep reading and one day you may grow an inch in at least one of your numerous empty faculties. Thank you.
Taabu,
ReplyDeleteAsante sana, tafadhali nitumie meaning ya hiyo response yako, juu iko na words mob bila meaning, so sielewi unasema?
Hey Anonymous, unajifanya ngombe ukamuliwe na nani? Unasinya and it is very distateful please stop it.
ReplyDeleteNa ni ngombe kweli. Hata maziwa sidhani itatoka iki kamuliwa.
ReplyDeleteTaabu and anon: It’s not entirely stupid that the queen herself speaks and writes in eloquent but simple prose. Shakespeare on the same token, though in poetic old English, was extremely accessible and readable in his time. Since the only purpose of communication is the transmission of ideas, knowledge, etc, it’s quite clear that “anon” and “Taabu” maintain a force field between them. Advice to Taabu: write in pride, even though many times the words you use as put together have no meaning, both in end and beginning. I’m sure we’ll see clearer formations in future. Either way, strive to maintain a gargantuan testicular fortitude bracing yourself for responses from characters such as anon. So how’s Kendu Bay (don’t be too uneasy…nationaudio: …the word grandiose blew you out of the water)
ReplyDeleteAdvice to anon: It’s clear that your ridicule of Taabu is based on your perception that no one else other than you can understand what this jamaa is trying to say. Anyone with a high school diploma reading this blog understands that Taabu is trying more to entertain than educate. Let the man practice his craft. There’s much to be said of someone who can utter, “..Thank God for small mercies like the internet where we can anonymously broadcast hollowness.” … and still feel vindicated.
And entertained I am, even by my fellow anonymous fellows! But especially so by Taabu's mastery of the Queen's English (sic!)Time to shoot another missive in my direction, Taabu. Like how I can't use my medula oblongata or something as complicated as that well. But do I say!
ReplyDeleteTransfer these petty ego fights to another blog/site please. And please nobody respond to this. let's discuss issues, in whatever language, but only issues. Taabu, let no one drag you into such an argument again.
