Jimnah Mbaru's Ridiculous Declaration

Talking of hypocrites I am still laughing as I write this after observing Jimnah Mbaru's body language as he recently stood before intelligent Kenyans and told them that if ODM Kenya remained intact and fielded one candidate in the forthcoming elections, it would cause uncertainty on the Nairobi stock exchange.

As the man was saying this his hands were fidgeting and his eyes were darting all over the place. What rubbish. No wonder there was loud laughter from the audience in reaction to his comment.

What Mr Mbaru was saying was that if Kibaki is not re-elected, it will cause uncertainty in the stock exchange.

Please note that I have included this post as a joke and not something for serious comment or analysis because Mr Mbaru's comments in this case do not deserve that.

  1. Mr. Jimnah Mbaru is one of the most important personalities in African business and Kenyan political circles and anything he utters, is to be taken taken seriously.Chris, this guys is not your average run-of-the-mill stock broker.

However, for him to attempt to use the platform of the NSE to openly campaign for Kibaki is a little mischievious of him.

Recently, Questions have been raised about certain activities in the NSE and I suspect he could be trying to divert attention from a possible NSE scandal, and lay blame on Kenyans and opposition politicians should they fail to re-elect Kibaki later this year.

  2. I dont see any problem with Jimnahs comments. He is of course one of the more Cerebral Kenyans. The other day he came up with an idea which can only but save this country but Unfortunately no one has taken it up. The idea of converting Nairobi National Park into a residential area is an absolute Gem. In fact what the Papers did not mention was that the same should be done to the Nakuru National park, Tsavo east and West National Parks before puting up Five Star Apartments in the Masai Mara. Kenyans do not need the Wildlife Heritage. the Nairobi Orphanage should also go.

  3. A little mischevious, u say? It's the chicken coming home to roost, boss. Kikuyu will do anything and everything to get Kibaki back into State House, even looking stupid infront of the business community and mouthing nonsense.

  4. I don't see why those comments are ridiculous. In any country, if the incoming Govt is not seen as being friendly to business, you can expect a negative reaction in the market. Is Raila the most friendly candidate to business?? Hhhmmmm??

  5. Hello folks
I have known Mr. Mbaru when he was still a student and working at Njogoo house.he was just putting his feet firmly on the ground then.
I have listened many times to his views for the future of this beautiful country Kenya, and I tell you what...
it is not always easy to understand what he deeply means, but I tell you .. the man is pure brain, and there is always something of benefit for his country behind his thoughts, words and actions.
sometimes he just gets nervous when he wants to tell people what is going on and when he wants them to understand and to participate in the ongoing for a better future.
time will come... and I hope he will then still be there to do more for Kenya's stability.
