Viral video shows former cop now MP Nimrod Mbai beating up KPLC staff after they disconnected his electricity

Nimrod Mbai, a Kitui East MP, allegedly attacked KPLC official Julius Onkangi on Monday (July 3rd) in Kitengela after accusing him of tearing down electric poles leading to the lawmaker's residence.
Nimrod Mbai is a former AP police officer and was a bodyguard to Dr Alfred Mutua, former Machakos governor.

In a widely circulated video, Mbai can be seen addressing the KPLC employees at his Kitengela residence and even accusing them of allegedly expecting bribes before providing energy to Kitengela residents.

He said in the video, "The time of accepting bribes is over, and I will not permit you to do that to any other Kenyan before supplying electricity." Later, the MP defended himself by claiming that KPLC staff members had broken into his home.

"I was defending myself from the intruders. I had to defend myself. The viral video you're referring to was manipulated to solely include me retaliating, said the MP.

But the footage appears to show the MP punching the KPLC officer first, and it also demonstrates that the official did not strike back.

The MP claimed that the KPLC personnel had put off putting in power at his Kitengela residence, so he decided to contact their director in Nairobi.

He said that "engineers were sent to my house and they did the job" after he spoke with the directors in Nairobi.

But Mr Julius Onkangi asserted that the MP's house's electricity was installed unlawfully and that no experts from outside Kitengela could be hired without consulting them because he is in charge of the area.

KPLC security and two regular police officers from Kitengela police station had accompanied Onkangi to the MP's home.

The KPLC officials claimed that the MP's home was surrounded by numerous unauthorized electric power connections. No police officer intervened when the MP allegedly began assaulting the KPLC official, raining blows on the official's neck while the MP's pistol was allegedly openly displayed from the back of his pants.

In order to prevent service theft, the MP claimed President William Ruto has instructed KPLC workers to provide meters wherever they discover unauthorized connections.

The MP said, "Instead of doing the same, these people are busy tearing down their electric poles and demanding bribes."

How Kiambu gubernatorial elections were rigged PLUS Moses Kuria dark secrets | Kenya news

A man called Moses Kiarie Kuria is in the news a lot. There are various aspects of this unending Moses Kuria drama that impact on our politics, and not just the media, that I'd like to highlight on our show today.
Super super fascinating stuff I assure you, and later on on this show I'll move to an even more fascinating topic of how the Kiambu gubernatorial elections were rigged. Most don't know that there was a lot of drama in that puzzling election last August.
But let's start with a deeper look at the character of Moses Kuria, the current cabinet secretary Investments trade and Industry. My search revealed a lot and it opened a can of worms that I could not continue opening, I just had to shut it.
Too many worms were crawling out and I knew that some of those "worms" I could not even share in my Weekly Intelligence Briefings. However I can hint at some of them.
And so let's go.
Most Kenyans have already forgotten that in the first 100 days of the Kenya Kwanza administration, Moses Kuria had already broken a record for foreign trips he had made 19 foreign trips in the first 100 days. He made even more foreign trips than the cabinet secretary in charge of Foreign Affairs. Can you imagine that? Foreign CS, Dr. Alfred Mutua made 15 trips over the same period which is understandable as he is in charge of Foreign Affairs which means he can't avoid representing the country in various forums where foreign ministers are required.
But Kuria is only the trade CS and it really doesn't make any sense. Does it?
One particular favorite destination for CS Kuria has really piqued my interest and that is a country called Belarus...
PLUS evidence of how the Kiambu gubernatorial elections were rigged and the drama that followed when something went wrong...

Raila's packed Kamukunji rally suddenly changes everything | Kenya news

Raila Odinga and Azimio's latest rally at Kamukunji is a dramatic game-changer. Raila was driven straight to the jam-packed Azimio rally at Kamukunji where he unveiled a civil disobedience and withdrawal of sovereignty from the Ruto regime that will have sweeping and far-reaching impact on the country's political landscape in the days to come. This revealing Kumekucha video unpacks and breaks down what most Kenyans may have missed.

They will also tell you that to obtain this human flesh, a person will sometimes be asked to sacrifice a close relative or family member. This is usually not a problem because many aspirants want to win at all costs and are prepared to pay any price to see the inside of parliament. Over 55 dead as truck rams into vehicles, hawkers at Londiani Junction | Road accidents in Kenya main cause

The rescue operation is still going on at the horrific and tragic accident that occurred at Londiani junction on Friday evening. Several bodies are still trapped inside vehicles with some under the truck.

The 6.30pm accident occurred after a truck lost control, running over pedestrians, business people and matatus which were parked by the roadside.

The truck was heading to Kericho before it lost control and veered off the road, ramming into tens of hawkers who were busy along the Nakuru-Kericho highway. And when it came to a rest, scores were trapped under its' weight.

In a handful of posts on this blog I have always insisted that there is much more to this road carnage in Kenya than meets the eye. It is all spiritual.

For instance, is it a coincidence that whenever we approach the general elections, the number of road accidents (most of them freak accidents) increases dramatically and with it also deaths of numerous Kenyans?

Most educated and sophisticated Kenyans will tell you that this is a mere coincidence. Why Ruto and UDA are in great panic over saba saba 2023 | Kenya news

July 7th 2023 looms large and too close for comfort. But what is it about this Saba Saba 2023 that has caused so much panic in the corridors of power? What is the big deal? This Kumekucha video digs deeper than most to unearth some disturbing truths that justify nervousness amongst some Kenyans over the looming Saba Saba day. More so when one examines what happened in the very first Saba Saba that changed Kenya forever. And surprise, surprise; the main key characters who brought down invincible KANU are back in pole position in 2023. Will history repeat itself?

Raila Kamukunji rally after he jetted back from Poland: Azimio changes the game, make it more deadly and urgent to remove UDA from power

Raila Amollo Odinga jetted back into the country from Poland and headed straight to the Kamukunji grounds where Azimio. But in a surprise twist, even before Raila stood up to speak Eugene Wamalwa revealed to Kenyans the next drastic step in Azimio's resistance campaign. Especially against the Finance bill 2023 and what is being referred to by a vast majority of Kenyans as punitive taxes.

We will need to take careful note of the very smart and clever change of strategy that has kicked in here. Notice that during yesterday's rally at Kamukunji there was no mention of opening the servers to reveal the real Presidential election results. In politics you take advantage of every opportunity you get to reach your goal and you don't have to stick to some certain points if you know you'll get where you want to go quicker by using another route. And this is precisely what is happening here with Raila and his team.

Watch video version of this article for full details;  https://youtu.be/HggX7m5l7Ks

So, let's dive in immediately without wasting any time into the four major points Eugene Wamalwa revealed.

Firstly as far as Azimio are concerned, the bipartisan talks have come to an end. The time to talk has come to an end and now according to Azimio it is time for action.

Point number two Azimio will start a campaign of defiance and civil disobedience which will take different forms at different times.

Point number three a major meeting will take place on the 7th of July to launch nationwide civil disobedience.

Number four which I believe will excite many supporters of Azimio is that the political outfit immediately to embark on collecting signatures from the people of Kenya. Signatures for what? Signatures for secession.

Ordinarily when a people are seeking seccession, this is usually the first step followed at some point by a referendum. But this particular approach, I believe is a little different because as far as I know there is no territorial secession anybody's looking for here. The idea behind these signatures, to be collected is to secede the vast majority of Azimio supporters from the very minority leadership of UDA. Which incidentally is exploiting Kenyans right now and the most recent example being the very punitive tax measures which have been implemented on Kenyans already suffering and facing challenges daily to put food on the table.

And to make matters worse is that we are seeing a UDA leadership throwing money around, buying expensive watches, expensive shoes brand new cars and spending taxpayers money recklessly and with abandon.

Mother of all demonstrations loading | Kenya news

Kithure Kindiki, Rigathi Gachagua and even President Ruto all seem to be speaking about a different country and definitely NOT Kenya. And yet the signs are very clear, we are headed back to maandamano and this time round things have changed and are very different. And the scariest thing of all is that those decision-makers and others responsible don't seem to have the slightest clue. Instead they are just busy issuing threats.
What should we expect?

The issue was not that the impeachment bill in the Senate failed what is of great significance is what happened so that it failed and what was happening in the Senate as it failed.

It has been confirmed by multiple sources that as the senators went in to vote, they were receiving calls from State House. Now that is a very very big deal. Because if voting on the floor has to be influenced by instructions from State House then there's no need of having a parliament.

Indeed that is the reality based on this information: we don't have a legislature, what we now have is an executive dictatorship. And so it is hardly surprising that the finance bill passed the way it did, against the will of the people.

Most assume that it is back to the streets and maandamano. But there is another deadly card looming and hovering over the second deadline. And this has to do with writing to the UN on the subject of self determination. Why is this such a lethal political card that even rivals maandamano?

On today's show I want us to focus, starting with this Siaya Deputy Governor saga, on the tactics strategies and inner secrets of William Samuel Ruto that got him to the presidency. Incase you did not know it, he still uses those same tactics and strategies currently. But there is a problem because we all know that the same strategies don't work for everything.

And after that we will look at what really happened at Boma's last August in a bit more detail than we have done in the past. We will do this while still on the same topic of the strategies and strengths of William Ruto.

Summary:

The devastatingly effective tactics of William Ruto that propelled him to President of Kenya are still a deep secret and mystery to most Kenyans, including seasoned political analysts. But it is emerging that the same tactics were used in Siaya and the result is the puzzling drama that has just unfolded. However the big problem is that these tactics have no impact governing a prosperous, democratic successful nation which is what Kenya aspires for. And the same tactics also birth a political and psychological time bomb.
