Isaac Ruto, the governor of Bomet, focused primarily on his county, and as a result, not much was said or heard about him. However, this changed when he became the fifth Nuru principal. Now, Kenyans will have to learn more about this man whose future is deeply intertwined with the nation's future. In fact, he could play a significant role in determining the outcome of the election. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you view him, Isaac Ruto is a figure who can no longer be ignored.
One important question we should consider early on is what caused the fallout between Isaac Ruto and his former close ally, Deputy President William Ruto. Psychologists suggest that people often make decisions based on emotions first and then seek logical reasons to justify them. Could it be that the rift between Isaac and William was driven by something more personal or petty than we might think? It's a possibility, especially given that the two were once very close and operating on similar levels. Then, all of a sudden, William rose to become the second most powerful person in the country. Could it have been jealousy over someone rising unexpectedly? Isaac, being a more experienced politician, may have felt a sense of competition or envy.
