Now that the Artur brothers saga seems to have cooled off, Narc-Kenya activist Mary Wambui who is President Kibaki's second wife, is back on the campaign trail with her wayward but strikingly beautiful daughter, one Nancy Wangui.
This time round, she has bounced back in style with blaring sirens going ahead of her along with two chase cars filled with armed bodyguards, and of course, loads of cash to dish out to women groups and any worthy (vote-generating) cause that she may bump into on her way.
Last week she was in western Kenya where she donated shs 200,000 in a small harambee in Enoch Kibunguchy's Lugari constituency.The MP has since left Ford-K and has joined Narc-Kenya.
The question still remains, where does this lady get the sack loads of cash that she distributes in her various political meetings? At one time while covering her meetings in Ukambani, I saw her spend more than Sh 800,000 in a few short hours and she generously paid off everyone including the local police who had provided extra security in her functions supplementing the civilian dressed bodyguards that always travel with her.
And again she is a likeable woman if not motherly. She will always tell journalists to be patriotic and mind about the welfare of their motherland. With all the pep talks accompanied by her knock-em-dead infectious smile and a heavy Kikuyu accent and of course the free-flowing cash, Mary Wambui has to be the President's most valued secret weapon in the forthcoming polls.
Her previously impeccable reputation was however marred by her association with the notorious Artur brothers who enjoyed the powerful influence and connections of the Narc-Kenya activist and her daughter. Not to mention the nasty rumours that won't go away to the effect that Wangui is carrying the baby of one of the Artur's.
President Kibaki has denied vehemently on several occasions in public that he has any relations with Wambui and her daughter but Kenyans don’t understand why Mary Wambui still enjoys state security round the clock at her Lavington residence and everywhere she goes. Not to mention the enormous influence she wields in political circles.
Then there is the fact that her drop-dead-gorgeous daughter will be an invaluable asset in reaching younger voters countrywide. (see her in this romantic setting).

ReplyDeleteEveryone knows who Mary Wambui is. But you are over-exaggerating(sp) something here. I don't think Winnie (her daughter) is as beautiful as you say, unless of course you are jealous of the Arturs (you have a crush on her!). I have taken time to study her but I can attest that she's not pretty (in my books). I don't know why everyone falls head over heels for her!
I wonder what happened to that Artur story? We are about to clock a year on the whole fiasco.

I understand u r Luo but honestly Wangui is not beauriful even by Luo standards.This confirms what We have always known,that u don' have the smallest iota of good and true reporting. U either have never seen Wangui or ur tastes are wildly strange. The chic is awfully ugly. U also lied abot seeing her spend 800,000 within 'how many hours did u say'? SO WHAT.
