Why Did The Government Ban This Song And Jail People Who Had It?
It is probably the most controversial song ever produced in Kenya
history. The government promptly banned it and those found with it were
arrested and jailed. Some brave Kenyans kept it and hid it in their
bedrooms and listened to it in low volumes. Today you can listen to it
and even turn up the volume to maximum. While remembering or discovering
the great man who inspired it. One Josiah Mwangi Kariuki.
