Where Does Kumekucha Live?

archive

This blog is read by some very smart people. The sort of guys who make me proud to be Kenyan and give me hope when I am at my lowest. I would never dream of telling them lies. So to clear the air here are a few facts about my current and past location or abode.

- For security reasons it is not in my best interests to reveal my current location or when I moved there.

- Until last month, I lived in a certain Kenya town for over 8 months. Nairobi is not the only place to live in Kenya and besides it is also not the best place to gauge the true state of affairs in our beloved nation. Now when most Kenyans still live in rural areas.

- It is true that I have not been to Nairobi for about 3 years until last weekend. Didn’t miss anything did I?

- I have been away even longer from the Rift Valley.

- However I have my trusted people countrywide whom I am in constant touch with to guarantee my readers a very true picture of what is going on. I also visit many areas in Kenya on a regular basis, irrespective of where I may be based currently. So the comments I make about encounters are 1000% TRUE.

- Technological wonders like the mobile phone and the World Wide Web make it viable for me to write very authoritatively from almost any remote area of Kenya.

  1. I have been following this site closely for the last three months since the Jeff Koinange saga broke out. I wish to congratulate all the bloggers and chris for the good work. you are appreciated and some of us who have not been home for long have come to appreciate your efforts.
i am not good at politics but enjoy following arguments by people who know it.
One of you preduicted that jefff would lose his job at cnn and even had documents to support that. On the Mungiki one, you have been all along a little bit accurate. so many times i imagine that you are working for other parties. I tend to believe that most of your are either working for newspapers in Kenya or have your own moles in the parties. Last week, one of the blogers derek said that Uhuru Kenyatta was with Kalonzo Musyoka in Mukuru at night, it was the main news item. The same bloke said that Chirau Ali Mwakwere was to form a coastal front in the NARK, then on Sunday it was reported on television.
another guy kalamari, and taabu talked of the third force and soon it came to be the truth and we cannot say that you say it out of guesswork.
another prediction was by phil, taabu, vikii and chris that kanu was headed for unity and it happened, and same about the troubles in odm kenya. thank you for that. you make us in the diaspora feel being at home. continue with the hard work.

  3. Well explainded Chris. But wait a minute! Does the truth mutate dependeing from where it is told? You guess right and no need to belabour the point. Do what you know best man because you owe us no apologies. You will know of a blast in Nairobi from Madrid before the news reached Banana (what a name with weight on heads?).

  4. Are we talking of an armchair reporter here? Or an analyst. Someone has asked what happen if you are trailed to the cyber cafe. It seems your lid is now blown.

Chris sometimes ago you talked of an office along Jogoo Road. Again Chris, you said that you were involved in selling some alternative media publication. History is rich and the sad thing is that you cannot change history.

Can you now tell us where you belong. There was a time you had a story about a robbery on Coast Bus, I dont doubt that at all, but honestly being in the Coast, Western Kenya, North Eastern is not relevant at all, but can we get to know you better, lest someone blows your cover.

Pius Nyamora used to write such hot stuff and nothing happened to his at the height of the dictatorship and so was Gitobu Imanyara and Njehu Gatabaki. Afterall, you cannot be sued for opinion, and neither are you a threat to any government.

    You landed from Where?

  5. to Derek:
You cannot be sued but as time has shown in Kenyan politics there is no respect for free press. Kenyan news houses were raided multiple times in 2005 and 2006 with no official reason (I can cite sources if you require them). that is STATE CENSORSHIP. fight for freedom of speech and with the proliferation of knowledge will come change.

  8. Anon that was a superb BLAST and not only from the past but a gem too. You took the best path by directing and not uttering a word lest you be accused of prejudice. The message: THE MORE THINGS CHANHE THE MORE THEY REMAIN THE SAME.

That gem is factual and expect many to react emotionally only seeing what they perceive and not writen. In my book OLD HABITS DIE HARD and the king is eventually unmasked and his nudity paraded. Don't rush to conclusions guys, read in between the lines (where there are no words) and get the genesis.

Many will jump and ululate while other will rant and rave at the invisible malice. Thank God to technology that can make you read things that happened before some parents had the biological by-product (accident to me precise) in your name.

That piece traces the root of Africa's problems and Kenya's in particular. Before you shout yourself hoarse just see the fake foundation you are standing to mouth expletives. Reminds you of Banda of Malawi, a Ghananian who the Queen owed a personal royal favour and planted in Blantyre.

Does the name Cecelia ring a bell chaps? Yes Ngwazi claimed to be Chewa and never uttered a word in the same dilect and C and brotehr Tembo saw it. Ours was no differnt exceptdiffernt casts same script. We are dead in the woods propagating falsewood packed as facts.

Why would one go for exile in the enemies land? Marry a white to claim traditional authenticity? Kenyans were robbeed and we are living in stollen premises. Don't confuse the word political independence with what it means. The present deception started long ago. See Mungiki chaps have to cling to something, real or perceived, but more of the latter. Kweli, asiyembea ufikiria mamaake mpishi bora!
