The day Kibaki’s total man was banned from the UK: Untouchable interior CS who was "touched" by the UK Chris Murungaru

In what is bound to be a big personal blow, one of the most powerful cabinet minister’s in President Kibaki’s administration, Chris Murungaru has been banned from entering the United Kingdom.
The minister was in fact treated for an unspecified ailment in the UK recently. Now he will be forced to seek future medical attention elsewhere. It seems that the minister’s visa was revoked in similar circumstances to those of Moi’s total man Nicholas Biwott. (Read full details in the Daily Nation Online, July 28th edition).
---

---
This latest development underlines yet again the uncanny similarities between the Moi and Kibaki regimes. Yet another example was a recent Kibaki tour to South Nyanza where all politicians were suddenly singing his tune in public meetings. Not to mention an altered Steadmann survey on the President’s popularity, which shows that he is still very popular in the rural areas (reports on the ground indicate that even rural areas in his own home turf in central province are divided).

The people of Kenya thank the British government for doing our President’s work for him. Maybe if the British government forwarded a presidential candidate for the next general elections they would end up being more sensitive to the people’s needs than our very own (sad but the truth).

The truth is that those in the new Kibaki regime have been pushed into corruption because they felt threatened by those who gained immense and unimaginable wealth during the Moi era who are still very much around. In fact these lucky, shameless and immoral people are still walking the streets of Nairobi and enjoying their ill-gotten gain in greater peace and comfort than most Kenyans struggling to make ends meet.

The legacy of Jomo Kenyatta lives on and the gap between the haves and have-nots continues to widen. So all the Kibaki team needs to do in 2007 is release lots of cash to starving and desperate Kenyans and they’ll be voted back in.

LDP and company, if you guys don’t have cash for 2007, you’re done.

On day 1 of the 3 day maandamano led by Azimio and Raila Odinga, protests are witnessed in over 15 counties country-wide. Even as Ruto's Kenya Kwanza response predictably remains the same despite clear indications that they are not doing any good to the cause of the Ruto presidency and regime. But where was Raila Odinga, even as he gave instructions for the protests to end at 5pm and resume on day 2 in the morning? Was it a case of the arrest of Raila that failed to happen?

Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio, has denounced the use of live ammunition during the anti-government protests on Wednesday 19th July 2023.

Ruto secretly purchased POA from his colleague in Jubilee Raphael Tuju and changed its name to Party for Development and Reforms (PDR) and then later changed it to UDA. Was all this to mask the origin of this party? Did he see the future before it happened?

On the shadow of the 12th July maandamano country-wide, UDA insiders are putting on a brave face and yet in the background are terribly worried about Azimio's looming check-mate move. Police are unsure of whether to treat the person to whom the revelation was made as a whistle-blower or a suspect as the villagers speculate that the dream may be a testament to the deceased's desire for a proper funeral and her determination to see her killers brought to justice.

Trouble in Kenya

As I write this street protests over the constitution have entered day three.

The international press is full of images of violence and looting in Nairobi streets.

I am worried because as we have said many times before in this blog, it would only take a very small spark to set off the time bomb that leaders in Kenya have been perfecting over the years. More so the Narc regime of broken promises and policies that have only sunk Kenyans deeper into poverty.

Some of these people having it good at high walled residences in Muthaiga and other high-income areas are worse than the looters now rampant on Nairobi streets. One grabbed land, which many Kenyans lost their lives for. The sons of many are enjoying themselves in Western capitals around the world.

As usual the Narc government has ignored the disease and chosen to address the symptoms.

I fear that it is a little late now, but I pray that I am proved wrong, for the sakes of the weak, the old, the women and children – all innocent Kenyans suffering for the sins of our leaders since independence.

Odingas have no love lost for Tom Mboya: A Readers Email Questions answered here…

The Mboya videos are not clear, but at least they are better than nothing.

Out of curiosity-who is behind this site? By the way you must be aware that the Odinga Foundation has started an award to honor nationalists/freedom fighters. The first one has been given to Pio Gama Pinto posthumously of course. Am sure they have no love lost for TJ.

By the way, why are we so sure that he would have been different from Kenyatta & Co.? Do we have politicians that think of the common man and then themselves second? Is that realistic in a capitalist system?

RK, Nairobi.

Answer

Very good questions.

Will in fact publish this questions and answers in the blog if you do not mind.

You will notice that the really selfless politicians have been wiped out as quickly as they have emerged. JM Kariuki is another example and so is Mboya of course.

People Like Kimani Wa Nyoike were fixed by being sent to prison and now he's virtually finished. Yes, capitalist societies produce heroes all the time.

Wherever human life exists, heroes will tend to emerge, people who make a big impact in changing things. We should all strive to fill in this role now as our country badly needs selfless heroes just now.

I have no idea who is behind the Mboya site but it speaks volume that there should be a Mboya site and no a Jomo Kenyatta or even a JM Kariuki site. Mboya was just execeptional. He had his weaknesses but he
did make a huge difference by taking very big risks.

My prayer is that another similar Kenyan woman's son will emerge some day.

Mr. Moi co-opted him and other young, reckless thugs into YK'92, to help him shore up his then besieged and tottering regime...
