Daugher Being Driven Crazy By Mum's Moans Of Pleasure

In 2007 I launched an advise column in this blog and was shocked at the large volumes of emails I started receiving almost instantly. I have continued to receive these email letters in large volumes. To be honest I rarely have the time to read them but once in a while I do and I always get very depressed. Kenyans have many complex almost unsolvable problems.

Here is one heart-breaking one I read recently. To be honest I have no idea what advise I should give. Maybe you readers out there can help out.

Dear Kumekucha,
My problem is serious. I love my mum so much she has sacrificed so much for me but I also hate her a lot. Let me explain.
    I have recently completed my university education and am currently looking for a job. It is so difficult to get a job in Kenya these days if you do not know people in high places or have connections and so I have no option but to live with my mum at her one bedroom flat somewhere in South C. Don't ask about my dad because I have never met him. My mum has single-handedly raised me.
    My mum is in a relationship with a certain man who visits every Friday and leaves on Monday morning. My weekends are hell because I hear my mums' screams and moans of pleasure when they are at it. I can even count how many times they do it through the night (usually 3).
     I do not have the guts to confront my mum about this issue but it really distresses me. Does she not care that I hear her being made love to? Surely she knows that I am now a grown girl and I know what is happening. Why can't they go to a cheap hotel or something.
    I know you are a man, Kumekucha and so I am not sure if you will understand what I feel when I hear my mum screaming and the bed squeaking like crazy. Please help me with some advise before I go crazy.

That is the letter I am yet to respond to. Imagine my shock when I came across an article in the Nairobian about a daughter who hit her mum because she had sex in her presence. Meaning that this may be a very common problem in Kenya. More so with most people living in single rooms with grown up kids.

Kenyan Prisoners Have Six To Seven Male "Wives"

Homosexuality in prisons is a very common phenomenon all over the world. However usually the man will have only one "wife." But for hardened prisoners in Kenya one "wife" is not enough and it is common for some of them to have six to seven "wives."

It all depends on how much money a prisoner can raise. Apparently as soon as a new prisoner comes in a bidding war commences. The one who pays the most usually Kshs 800 or so and gets the new prisoner who is then assigned to their cell.

The horror of this practice does not end there. Kenyan prisons are overly crowded meaning that there is absolutely no privacy for the "husband" and his "wives" save for the darkness of the cell.

Crisis At Likoni Ferry Mombasa As Thousands Are Stranded

Thousands of people, including motorists have spent hours on both sides of the Likoni Ferry Crossing waiting to cross after the two main ferries at the crossing developed mechanical problems. The only fully functional ferry is the MV Kilindini which is the oldest in the fleet having being first commissioned in the 1970s.

By 7 am this morning only MV Kilindini was operational and passengers rushing to work were filling it in droves and leaving no space for vehicles. Later in the morning the Ferry services management scrambled to re-organize. Now the relatively new MV Likoni (commissioned about 2 years ago) is carrying only passengers because one of the problems with it is a faulty prowl. It is being assisted by MV Harambee which has always had a faulty prowl and can therefore not carry vehicles. Only MV Kilindini is transporting vehicles resulting in a very long queue of cars and trucks on both sides of the crossing.

Decades of corruption and misplaced priorities have frustrated the building of a bridge in the terribly busy Likoni crossing. The fact that the same area is the main entry point for ships means that only a bridge that is able to open to allow ships can be constructed. This kind of bridge is rather costly.

There has also been talk since 2012 of building a causeway to join the island to the South Coast around the Mtongwe area (another less busy crossing further upstream that is also serviced by ferries) and despite assurances that funds for the project have been secured, the ground is yet to be broken for the said project.

Kenyan Economy Will Grow By Almost Double Digits: Kibakinomics?

World Bank experts now project that the Kenyan economy will grow by between 6 and 7 percent over the next 3 years. This will make the country one of the 5 fastest growing economies in sub Saharan Africa.

If truth be said it seems that the country is now beginning to cash in on prudent fiscal policies put in place during President Mwai Kibaki's tenure in office. Kibaki is a respected world economist although his political tenure as president has been widely criticized. A few days ago some spin doctors even made a spirited attempt to clean up the former president's public image by sending a press release to the media claiming that he had been shortlisted for the Mo Ibrahim leadership award. It turned out that he did not even qualify to be on the list.

Kibaki is still influential in the country as one of President's Uhuru's key advisors on economic matters.

This is the kind of story that will horrify any parent that has a daughter studying at any of our local Kenyan universities.

A campus student Shiela Mwaniki has admitted that she is doing roaring business selling pregnancy test kits to fellow students at JKUAT and Kenyatta University.

Now why would so many female students need to do so many pregnancy tests so frequently? What do you think? Are intelligent campus girls indulging in unprotected sex so frequently that it would make anybody dizzy just thinking about it?

Stories of beauty contestants having to dish out certain favours to judges in order to win are fairly common all over the world. But some losing contestants who claim that they kept their thighs firmly together have launched a brand new Facebook page to expose what the winners did to win.

Nairobi Businessman Shot 15 Times On Forest Road

UpdateMystery has deepened over the execution-style shooting of Nairobi businessman Paul Ngugi Kariuki on Wednesday night. Police now say that 13 shots (and not 15) were fired and yet no single spent cartridge was recovered from the scene.

This could only mean that the gunmen took their time to carefully clean up the scene of crime afterwards. The incident was at 11 pm (another detail that has changed), which means that it was dark and this could have made the task even more difficult with flashlights.

This further raises questions about the female companion the businessman was with at the time now identified as Susan Wambura Riziki, a hairdresser. Mr Kariuki had told his wife earlier that evening on phone that he would be late as he was attending meetings. Contrary to earlier reports Ms Riziki only received a minor bruise on the chin. So was she a witness? Did she see anything?

Clearly this execution was carried out by professionals who were keen not to leave any evidence or witnesses behind.

The businessman has now been linked to a Shs 95 million land fraud case.

A Businessman was shot 15 times as he slowed down at a bump on Forest Road in the early hours of this morning at about 2am.

Paul Ngugi Kariuki died on the spot as the gunmen shot him at close range. He was with a female passenger who is now admitted at Nairobi Hospital in critical condition.

Police are convinced it was an execution because nothing was taken from him.

A man has been jailed for 75 years for defiling and knowingly infecting his own 12 year old daughter with Aids.

The man was sentenced this morning by a Nakuru court. His young daughter was in Standard 5 at the time of the incident. She told the court that her dad came into a room where she was sleeping with her other siblings at night and took her to another room in the house.

Legendary comedian and film actor Bill Cosby's (pictured) women troubles seem to be mounting.

Way too many women have come forward accusing him of rape. Instructively all the women's accounts have intimate and worrying similarities.

Should al Shabaab Threats To America In Latest Video Be Taken Seriously?

About two weeks ago Somali-based terror group al Shabaab released a video where they specifically pointed to certain targets in the West for possible terror attacks.

The big question in the US now is whether the group is capable of carrying out attacks so far from Somalia. Interestingly although the State Department designated the group as a foreign terrorist organization as far back as in March 2008, there are Americans who are hearing the al Qaeda linked name for the first time. One commentator on a CNN blog even boldly stated that he thought it was the name of a rap music group. This kind of ignorance can be dangerous because when a group is designated a foreign terrorist organization, according to the US law, it becomes illegal for a person in the United States to knowingly provide that group with money, communications equipment, weapons or explosives or to even join it.

Probably the most worrying issue in all this is the fact that al Shabaab has been very actively recruiting Americans for a number of years now. Which means that an attack on US soil may not be as difficult to execute as some analysts may want to think.

Voi Body Is Yebei, DNA Confirms

A South African Lab has confirmed to family members that the body found in the man eaters area of Tsavo National Park and now lying in a morgue in Voi is indeed that of ICC witness Meshack Yebei.

Kenyan police have said they can only release the results (which was a 99.9% match) after they are officially received and confirmed by the government chemist.

This ends the distress of the Yebei family who have twice (on separate occasions and locations) positively identified a body as that of Yebei's.

Yebei's naked body was discovered by a forest ranger on patrol in the vast Tsavo East national park apparently moments before a hyena was set to feast on it.

3 Al Shabaab Arrests Over Mall Threats

Mercifully Kenya has not witnessed any major terrorist attack for some time. Some analysts claim that the terror group al Shabaab has greatly been weakened. It would seem that the continued presence of KDF in Somalia as well as constant drone attacks by the US army, one of which killed the former terror groups' supremo Ahmed Godane, have borne fruit.

But a few hours ago police exploded into action and arrested two men and a woman in connection to a planned mall attack by al Shabaab in Canada. This comes shortly after security officials a few days ago warned shoppers in Canada, the United States and Britain to be on guard after al Shabaab terrorists posted a video calling for attacks on Western malls. Interestingly some of the threats on the video were quite specific and one of the targets pointed out was Mall of America in the US state of Minnesota. Interestingly that state has the highest concentration of immigrant Somalis in the US.

Phew, Kibaki Was Not On Shortlist Of Mo Ibhrahim Award

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation prize committee has moved quickly to dispel press reports that former President Mwai Kibaki was a front runner for the annual Mo Ibrahim Leadership award.

The panel blamed the media for misleading the public and went on to say while Kibaki was eligible for the prize, since he left office within the last three years, he had not met the requirements for winning the prize, which is based on an index that determines a leader’s performance in delivering good governance to the people.

This year the prize went to Namibia’s outgoing President Hifikepunye Pomamba, due to his focus in forging national cohesion and reconciliation and his ability to command the confidence and the trust of his people.

Will The Government Really Jail Anglo Leasing Suspects?

It has happened many times before. The government of the day generates lots of excitement that finally somebody is beginning to take corruption seriously. Sadly the only things that usually comes out of it is temporary PR mileage.

This of all governments has shown Kenyans so far that it is business as usual and that getting excited about anybody taking corruption seriously is being naive.

So former Finance Minister and close personal friend to former President Kibaki, Daudi Mwiraria was questioned yesterday and we are even informed that he will be charged today.

Remember the circus that went on about Anglo Leasing a handful of years ago? Remember the sensational audio recordings by one John Githongo? We were even told that only qualified people can present evidence blah blah

Wake me up after the verdict comes in... if he is tried that is.

Is Bitcoin Mining Still Profitable in 2015?

Surely there has to be a reason why numerous big companies like Dell, Microsoft, Overstock, Amazon and many others are still confidently accepting Bitcoins as payment for their products and services. Still there are many skeptics at the moment who are sure that Bitcoin has no future and is not worth mining at a value in the region of $250. And you really cannot blame them because on the surface of things there seems to be a lot of evidence to back their position.

For starters the fact of the matter is that Bitcoin lost over 60 per cent of its’ value in the course of 2014.

The average annual income of a typical Kenyan is slightly above $1200 annually and therefore this macabre trade makes a lot of business sense to too many Kenyans.
