William Ruto major scare: In one of the most impactful decisions in recent history US aid money coming into Kenya (which employs tens of thousands of Kenyans directly and hundreds of thousands indirectly) was suddenly frozen by the new Trump administration. Donald Trump’s administration then confirmed plans to merge the US international aid agency USAid into the state department in a major revamp that would shrink its workforce and align its spending with Trump’s priorities.
