The Difference Between DC and AC Power

Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC) are the two main types of electrical current. In DC, the flow of electricity is in one direction, which is typically used in batteries and devices like laptops and mobile phones. In contrast, AC alternates direction periodically, meaning it switches between positive and negative directions. AC is commonly used for electricity supply in homes and businesses because it is easier to transmit over long distances. DC is often used in electronics and devices requiring a stable, consistent flow of power.
