Ruto's Link To Sarah warimu's male friend

One of the individuals linked to the Table Kohan Meninos case has a particularly intriguing background. I’m referring to Peter Karanja. While there have been numerous rumors surrounding both him and the case, in this discussion, we’ll focus strictly on the facts.

As of the time of this recording, Karanja has not been charged with any crime, and it is unclear if charges will be filed against him. For now, he remains a suspect. It is essential to handle the details of this case with caution, especially given the High Court gag order on specific aspects linking him to Sarah Wairimu Cohen. However, what may be of most interest to you is Karanja’s background, his past, and insights that could shed light on his role in these events.

Karanja is known for his involvement in politics, with many crediting him as a key figure in the election of his former wife, Gilgil legislator Martha Wangari, to Parliament. Their relationship, however, has since ended, and their ongoing divorce has been stormy. Martha has publicly accused Karanja of domestic abuse and even claimed that he threatened her life. While such threats may unfortunately be common in bitter marital disputes, they take on a far more serious connotation when the individual in question becomes linked to a murder investigation.

Before entering politics, Karanja led a very different life as a humble taxi driver in Nakuru, operating from the Lake Nakuru Lodge. There’s no shame in being a taxi driver, as the role provides unique opportunities to meet influential people, and Karanja seems to have leveraged these contacts well. This led to his involvement in the PNU campaign team in 2006, where he played a significant role in supporting President Mwai Kibaki's re-election campaign, especially in Gilgil and Nakuru.

Interestingly, it was during this campaign that Karanja met Martha Wangari, a young university graduate at the time. The two later married, and their lives appeared to take a dramatic turn in 2011. On November 4th of that year, the UDM political party was launched, with Karanja playing a key role in its formation. Notably, William Ruto, then an MP for Eldoret North, endorsed UDM as his preferred party for the 2013 elections, although he did not officially join it. Karanja’s involvement in UDM placed him in proximity to Kenya's political elite, and his connections deepened further.

A lingering mystery surrounds UDM, including its financing and the motives behind its formation, especially as it was later abandoned. Intriguingly, the party’s leader is still officially listed as Philip Murgor, a lawyer linked to Sarah Wairimu Cohen. What does this connection suggest? It’s hard to say for sure, but it adds another layer of intrigue to an already complex narrative.

As for Karanja’s relationship with Sarah Wairimu Cohen, official statements suggest they were close friends and business associates. However, the circumstances surrounding their interactions paint a different picture. For instance, after a meeting with Sarah, Karanja reportedly drove from Nairobi towards Nakuru, only to turn back at 8 p.m. at Sarah’s request. Such actions are not typical of business associates but might align more closely with a romantic relationship.
