How Blood Is Pumped Throughout Your Body

The heart is the central organ of the circulatory system, ensuring blood reaches every part of your body:

1. Deoxygenated Blood: Blood low in oxygen enters the heart through the right atrium and is pumped into the right ventricle.

2. Lungs: The right ventricle pumps blood to the lungs via the pulmonary arteries, where it picks up oxygen and releases carbon dioxide.

3. Oxygenated Blood: Oxygen-rich blood returns to the heart’s left atrium, then moves to the left ventricle.

4. Body Circulation: The left ventricle pumps blood into the aorta, distributing oxygen and nutrients to the body through arteries.

Veins carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart, completing the cycle.
