Are Luo Mafia mess up NASA Unity?

Today, I'd like to address the biggest obstacle preventing NASA from selecting a presidential candidate—essentially, the dysfunction within NASA, particularly the issues within ODM. Some people refer to it as the "L Mafia," and that’s the focus of today’s discussion. I’m about to upset a lot of people, especially those who naively believe that the government is corrupt while the opposition is filled with angels who will bring about change. That idea is laughable. In my view, all politicians are the same. If Jubilee were in the opposition today, they would be behaving exactly like the NASA leadership. That’s the reality. There are very few politicians who stand out, and the truth is, unless things change soon, our country is in serious trouble.

Now, let’s talk about the people who are really causing harm within ODM and NASA. I know there are individuals within ODM and NASA who will agree with me because they understand how politics works and the damage being done by certain individuals. Many Kenyans have pinned their hopes on NASA, believing that the coalition will unite behind a single presidential candidate. However, there are some people who are determined to prevent that from happening, all in the name of personal gain. Their goal is simple: they want to continue making money, and they will do anything to maintain the status quo. My appeal is to Raila Odinga to take action and hold these people accountable, as they are doing more harm than good to his cause.

You might recall the recent controversies within NASA when Kalonzo pushed for the presidential candidate to be named, specifically advocating for himself. During these discussions, Kalonzo mentioned one person—Jakoyo Midiwo, the Member of Parliament for Gem, who has been in office since 2007. He is known for his arrogance and involvement in shady dealings. Before diving deeper into the issues surrounding Midiwo and others within the “L Mafia” who are causing problems in NASA, let’s listen to this clip from Parliament, where Jakoyo Midiwo fought to prevent MPs’ salaries from being reduced. In the clip, he launched personal attacks on the chairperson of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission. After watching the clip, I’ll provide more context on Midiwo and the L Mafia’s influence within NASA.
