Battle Lines Drawn... Again

What do you expect if you go to your local police station and start throwing stones inside? Do you perhaps expect the police officers to invite you inside for a cup of tea while they calm you down and find out what the problem is? Figure it out for yourself my friend.

Yesterday, in what I am very sure was a carefully timed move, PNU MPs known to be mouthpieces of the party’s most rabid hardliners came out with guns blazing and insisted that William Ruto should be left out of the cabinet because of his alleged role in post election violence. Actually this particular utterance came out hot in the heels of another statement from the illegal cabinet to the effect that President Kibaki should scrutinize ODM nominees for cabinet posts.

Clearly there is a very deliberate effort to isolate William Ruto by PNU hardliners. It will be interesting to see what their next move will be.

In a quick rejoinder ODM came out and asked PNU to concentrate on their half of the cabinet and leave that of ODM alone.

Something else significant happened yesterday. The Anan peace talks collapsed. The reason was a lack of interest from the PNU side. Only one representative turned up, namely Mutula Kilonzo. Meaning that the illegal cabinet is pretty busy at the moment. The big question is… doing what?

The answer is… something more important than the “grand coalition nonsense.” Yep. That’s the thinking within PNU at the moment as the hardliners have taken complete control.

Of course they have totally failed to read the writing on the wall even as President Robert Mugabe seems to be on his way out in Zimbabwe. Most Kenyans are hardly interested in foreign news but spare a minute to consider something that directly relates to Kenya...

Kumekucha all I can say they are joking!! and that is a tatic they are using to delay the cabinet power-sharing and kenyans will not let it happen- we are heading far war and i was expecting this!!
1. where are the PNU mp's that financed the genocide in nakuru and naivasha?? even the British and American ain't buying that because when BBC was reporting it- they already had all the proof handed to them on tape!!
So Ruto is a scape goat and it will not happen!! ruto has the heart of all the rift valley and they are asking for war!!

now KIBAKI, UHURU, MICHUKI, SAITOTI, KARUME, KARUA SHOULD STEP DOWN THIS ARE THE VOICES HARD ON TAPE DISCUSSING FUNDS AND ORGANISING THE NAKURU AND NAIVASHA GENOCIDE BY THE MUNGIKI GANG!!!!THIS IS FROM VERY REALIABLE SOURCES- SO ODM SHOULD ASK ALL THIS PEOPLE TO STEP DOWN!! MEANWHILE WE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR OR SEE THE SAME PROOF FROM THEM ON RUTO!! WHO DO THEY THINK THEY CAN FOOL!!

KUMEKUCHA PLEASE GO TO MASHADA!! TODAY IT WAS LIKE A BIG ATTTACK ON RUTO- IT WAS PLANNED -BUT SOME ODM DIE HARDS WENT HEAD ON WITH THIS PNU PEOPLE!! IT WAS VERY SURPRISING ON HOW THE POST KEPT ON MENTIONING ONLY RUTO THE WHOLE MORNING YESTERDAY- BUT ODM KEPT POSTING FACTS ON THE NAKURU GENOCIDE UNTIL THE PNU INDIVIDUALS WHO HAD BEEN SEND TO POST GAVE UP!!

PNU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE GETTING THEMSELVES INTO!!

RAILA WILL ALSO LOOSE THE GOODWILL OF KENYANS BECAUSE HE HAS TO COME OUT FIRING AND TELL THE PNU IT IS NOW OR NEVER! DO THEY REALLY THINK THAT THE MUNGIKI GANG CAN TAKE UP AGAINST ALL TRIBES IN KENYA?? THEY ARE LOOKING FOR CENTRAL LESOTHO AND I THINK KENYANS NOW SHOULD MAKE THAT DECISIONS!! IT IS THEY PNU ARE WITH THE REST OF KENYA OR OUT COMPLETELY NOW THAT SHOULD BE THE STAND!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

LET THE BALL ROLL AND THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL!! TIME OUT!!

KUMEKUCHA PLEASE POST THIS- THANKS!!

We saw all this coming when the army was deployed in the Rift valley.
What a miscalculation PNU is making to think that military route will contain peoples thirst for justice.
God save Kenya

Ati Kibs vetting ODM Mps that is a joke or a belated fool's day. (Mungiki patron)
Wameabiwa concentrate on your half the other half is for ODM, kwani did ODM dictate on who was to be appointed in PNU? William Ruto will be a cabinet Minister...Wata do?
Right now that man is holding the stakes in RV, and that is where we have the majority IDPS, so let them stop treading on slippery ground, watashangaa....Leaflets zilisema? The same way God gave you Central, it is the same way God gave RV to us.....It is not over till it is over..
Come to think of it NARC-K says a fair share of cabinet positions depending on the strength of parties, so it means ODM 106, PNU as a party has how many....if you remove NARC-K, KANU, ODM -K, i guess they have about 20 MPs can someone clarify that.......Some things are just common sense that we dont have to call Annan.....Yes just coomon sense and ensure that your IQ is below, above or at par

odm has it's plans to i hear and the military even if they bring in museveni- will not help!! why do you think museveni and gaddaffi do not see eye to eye or museveni and TZ?? kibaki went to bed with the wrong people- odm i understand has been fukk aware of all the plans pnu has been up to through their own intelligence and some from friendly nations- sources say that if that is the route pnu wants to take -then so be it! odm has everything in place to counter them swiftly- this time it will not be wanaichi on the streets i hear and they are confident it will end very swiftly(I don't know what the source meant by this sorry) I will find out more!!

one thing i should say NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE RAILA!! DON'T YOU RECALL THE CASE OF THOSE 2 BROTHERS? HE KNEW EACH STEP THEY TOOK:)!!

Raila has been calm having tea and lunches looking relaxed but remember this is a street smart individual- he never shows the cards he plays-something else i hear a whistle blower has come up with very interesting information on tape and security documents!! i wonder what they are- odm will tell us soon i guess-

hey kumekucha do you have a odm source or only a pnu source??

oh boy!here we go again! let us see who can point fingers more! PNU is yet again trying to play a delay tactic while the steal more money from kenyans?? what did Leakey say?? big vacuum in the country- everyone is now filling their pockets just in case they loose their jobs!!

but to get back to the point!! Ruto aint going nowhere- i had rift valley has said they are ready to curve themselves out of and let ruto rule them:) so and luhya land just said the same this morning and i guess luo it is automatic- Balala already said he will Lesotho them- so let us see where they go from this stands by other provinces!!!

kibaki and his pnu party are playing games while the displaced people some are dying because of the disease in the camps now!!

Kenyans now should remove them completely!! time out!!

hello kumekucha i found this posted in your raw notes section and i will just comment- any information passed to you by pnu on any odm member as evidence - is fake!! Koffi Annan was also given some information on Ruto complete with signature - it all checked out fake tasted signature and guess what? a good fake!! that is why Ruto stayed on in the negotiation team even though pnu wanted him off using fake information - if i were in your position as a blog owner i would be very careful taking any paperwork from this people!! unless it is ruto on tape- it is up to you! just simple advice....I'm not even Kenyan- but i was on ground then that is all i can tell you...

* Why a large chunk of the evidence PNU have against Ruto cannot be used. Impeccable sources deep inside PNU make shocking revelations to Kumekucha that he cannot dare print in the public domain.

A legal expert confirms the legal position concerning this type of evidence to Kumekucha.

It is situations like this remind kenyans that violence, destruction of the economy and international pressure was unfortunately the only way to communicate with this clique.

the mt kenya mafia might even get away with this. But they have reignited the slow burning process of frustration and hopelessness that will trickle down to the grassroots.

When the situation finally explodes let us not hear that rubbish that "oh! nothing can justify....." They have shown us that dawa ya moto ni moto

Kenyans are interesting. We work hard at normalizing the abnormal.

All people commenting are blinded by PNU ODM crap.We are talking about mass murder and the death of human lives.

Ivy you are a woman and i would have expected more from you than your cold blooded comments.

Let us not muddy the waters.Ruto is an alleged mass murderer just like akina Michuki,Karume alleged mass murderers. The issue should be that both are to face the law.

But from comments here it seems that since Ruto funded the kalejin militia on behalf of ODM its ok to have him in cabinet and because akina Michuki funded on behalf of PNU then they are devil incarnate!

Only in Kenya.

They are Kalejins in here kumekucha,i would just like to ask you why you are so ready to kill kikuyus?Luos and Kikuyus hate each other but they never kill each other so why are you Kalejins so ready to kill kikuyus???

Kenyans are interesting. We work hard at normalizing the abnormal.

I DISAGREE WITH YOU TOTALLY- POST PROVE OF RUTO MASS MURDER HERE OR STOP YOUR PROPAGANDA!!!! HOW DARE YOU- PEOPLE LIKE YOU WITH LIES FED TO YOU BY YOUR PNU LEADERS ARE THE ONES THAT GET PEOPLE IN TROUBLE!! THERE IS ALREADY PROOF AT HAGUE OF TAPE BY THE MUNGIKI OR SOME WHISTLE BLOWER AND BBC HAS THE SAME INFORMATION OF PNU GROUP THAT FINANCED MUNGIKI TO GO TO NAIVASHA AND NAKURU!! I CAN COMFORTABLE SAY THAT BECAUSE IT IS ON TAPE! FACES ANDS VOICES THE WHOLE WORKS!!

NOW YOU CAN YOU TELL US ANY INFORMATION ON TAPE!! NOT FAKE POLICE DOCUMENTS (WHICH HAVE BEEN DISCOVERED) BUT A TAPE OR VIDEO WHERE RUTO IS ORDERING THE MURDER OF KENYANS??? DO YOU HAVE THAT!!! IF YOU DON'T THEM DO KEEP QUIET AND DO NOT USE YOUR KEY BOARD TO POST PROPAGANDA ON KUMEKUCHA!!

INCIDENTALLY KUMEKUCHA JUST RECEIVED ADVISE FROM SOME ONE ELSE WHO HAS THE SAME SENTIMENTS LIKE ME!! i can add the tape is real - the uhuru's and his cronies will not get out of this one!! I'm even wondering why the people that have it are delaying giving it to all media houses!!

kumekucha please post my replies to this individual- i 'm sick and tired of propaganda from PNU master document! did this individual read it?? his comments about Ruto are directly from that PNU master document!!why aren't i surprised- and if you are over 16 years of age you should be really ashamed of yourself for peddling information handed to you without finding out if it is indeed facts!! you are no different from all those politicians peddling lies to hang onto their jobs!!

As a Kenyans who believes in facts!! i would like you to show us proof that Ruto funded the militia as you claim and i will hand you facts on the nakuru and naivasha planned genocide on tape!!now i want proof of ruto on tape too!!
show your face in the news media with that tape and i will do the same!! it is about time we got the facts right!!

do not - i repeat bring!! reports from the police or eye witnesses which we all know are fake!! the only proof acceptable just like the one send to the hague is a tape with the peoples faces that planned the genocides!!in nakuru and naivasha and in your case Eldoret!!
only the truth shall set kenyans free!! hiding behind keyboards and not having facts but writing anything one wants here is wrong!!

do you have that Proof??

i hope my post is posted as a question or a request to the above blogger!!

my question is why is PNU scared of Ruto now!!during elections and after they were scared of Raila and even went as far as calling kihii that can never rule them!! they abused plus his wife even his children!! they called him a murderer that started the coup!! oh may the foot soldiers were put to work and they really tried to discredit him- and it was worse right after they rigged the elections- he was called an animal! in even on international media!!

now it is Ruto's turn- he ia a murderer e.t.c- so I ask this question??when did Raila stop being a murderer, thug , animal that wants to kill all the kikuyu's and that has been his plan from the beginning!! kumekucha- go read all the other kenyan blogs!! it was like a song sang on most of the kikuyu blogs everyday!!!

now the on-onslaught turned to Ruto!! why the fear?? everyone has been asking them to give proof- i even remember koffi Annan asking for the same and they did some fishy stuff!! so what is PNU afraid of that Ruto knows??

Secondly I hear that former President Moi and his sons are involved in PNU campaign to put blame on ruto- but there is a twist now- sources are asking Moi why he paid people to burn his house??(some of the ones paid got drunk and spilled the beans) i don't believe it was for insurence money the old guy has billions)
if you look closely - it seems this act is connected to what happened in the rift valley!! what was President Moi former coveing up by burning his own house??? what is he hiding!! (he worked with pnu) who did he pay to cause the un-rest since we all know he is an expert at this !!he did it before!!

kenyans wake up- let people not feed you with information where there is no proof and you find others burning their own homes!! it sure does look very fishy- since Moi hates Ruto with passion!! this was a set up and we all know that let PNU not fool kenyans!!

kumekucha please post this I'm a luyha from a kisii Living in Eldoret and i can say looking at before and after Elections and Moi's side of campaigns there was already alot of tension in the rift valley when he joined kibaki's campaign let us look closely at this facts!!

Antonio who... PLEASE IT IS NOT JUST KALENJINS WHO TAKE PLEASURE IN KILLING KIKUYUS. EVERY OTHER KENYAN DOES. IT IS ONLY THAT YOU ARE SO MUCH INTO THEIR DOORSTEPS THAT THEY FIND YOU EASY TO REACH.BY THE WAY HAVE YOU EVER MET A FOOLISH KYUK WHO TREATENS YOU WITH DIRE CONSEQUENCE EVEN AS YOU CUT HIS THROAT? THAT IS WHAT IS KILLING THEM. THE DAY THE IDPs WILL DEMONSTRATE AGAINST PNU FOR NOT SETTLING THEM, THEN THAT IS WHEN KENYA WILL BE SAVED. THEY STARTED FROM DEMANDING LAND FROM KENYATTA ESPECIALY THE BIG CHUNK OF LAND JUST AFTER NAKURU CALLED GICHEA FARM. OTHERWISE THEY TOUCH RUTO AND WE RUN AMOK THRO' ALL THE CAMPS IN RV.

WAILER

Anonymous said...

Let them try touching Ruto and they have not seen what we kalejins are made of yet!you brought trucks of mungiki's with police escort and help with their guns to slaughter our people - go ask the the ones who survived!!like you say we are not rich, you call us dirty uncouth all the names in the dictionary - and yet you want our land!! I guess we are all those names you call us - and more!!but you can not have our land!! i believe if you kikuyu's were not greedy you could settle many displaced people on all that empty fertile land your people own in parts of rift valley !! why haven't they rushed to help you?? they don't care and yet you expect us kalejins to care- then you turn around and Abuse our son Ruto - the son of chosen by our Elders to lead our people!! you belittle him and abuse him and lay blame on him on things he did not do! and yes yet you know the truth of who and what happened in Eldoret!!

you touch Ruto that will be the end of the road between kalejins and kikuyu's and our luyha and luo neighbors feel the same!!this time we are prepared- you already send in the army to kill our sons but we knew of your plans and they varnished in the thin air and will reappear when called upon!!(we wanted to give the coalition a chance but we see it was a waste of time!! we are watching and waiting !!

please post my comments i hate it when pnu threatens our Ruto!!

antonio said...

Am in shock,

Wailer says "...have you ever met a foolish kikuyu who threatens you with consequence even as you cut his throat..." and also "...they touch ruto and we run amok thro all the camps in RV..."

Ivy asks "..what has been a woman got to do with it?".I always thought that women will care about children no matter the tribe?!The boy kikuyu boy who went back to pick his bike and he was told by the kalenjins he will be killed you do not care for him??

Do not put me in a tribal box or a party box.As i said rutos militia burnt cildren and women in a church and akina michuki, uhuru and other mungiki bigwigs organised the revenge in naivasha.

Both sides are wrong and they should face the law.If you are too blinded by nonsense politics or stupid ethnicity to see this then its unfortunate.

I said it before and i will repeat it...Ruto is a sharp,media-savvy,young politician who is just right for the 21st century. It is sad that he had almost shaken off the YK92 corruption tagged but now and till he dies he will rightly or wrongly be perceived as the face behind the 2007 kalejin genocide on kikuyus.

But he is lucky kenyans do not have long memories..si ntimama did it in 92 n 97 and nothin happened to him legaly? But karma is a bitch and it always gets you..rumour has it that his daughter cum grand-daughter is a coke junkie and she is in rehab in london!

So pia Ruto,Uhuru and other mass murderers you will get you justice one way or another.

Kikuyus have been killing Luos for a very long time.In fact Kikuyus have been killing all the other 41 tribes for a very long time through the system of marginalisation based on ethnicity.

At least those with pangas and rungus will eventually tire and put those weapons down. The system of marginalisation on the other hand persists relentlessly, it can only be broken through force. The worst is yet to come.

You know you haven't answered me give me any comment that is cold blooded that i made.....Why are you being like those preachers who preach about prosperity just by taking one line of scripture in the bible and maximising on it....Yawa I commented about the boy with a bike y'day coz i saw him and my heart went out to him...This is a wrong thread....Look for it you will find it (y'days)
Is it a fact that the largest number of IDPs are in RV?

Is it a fact that there were leaflets thrown in Mau Summit and Burnt forest?

For your information i do care about children, and i dont ask from what tribe they are...Some of us are not moved by tribal affiliations....I have gone to almost every IDP camp in Nairobi and its environs...so i am really not sure what you mean by caring...I guess i will check my dictionary for the new meaning

So kindly just give me any cold blooded comment that i made and i will sincerely apologise....Tafadhali

What I will never u/stand is the obsession with Ruto... Ruto ruto ruto even those that cannot speak can say the words Ruto?? Kwani niaje na hii maneno ya Ruto??? Those foolish chaps like that loud mouthed Tigania MP who used to spend his time abusing Raila as if they are even close to agemates has now turned his foul mouth on Ruto?? Kwani is that dude rogwad or is he haunted by some spirits from his home??
What I personally find discusting is the use of propaganda by PUNU until they convince themselves its true!! The Jamaa has just lost his dad plz cut him some slack and if you have evidence pls go to court?? Si that is what they love to tell people?
Haki nimechoka na hii maneno ya Ruto na hawa watu wa PUNU!!
I had asked God to forgive me for murderous thoughts even though I never slashed anyone but felt it in my heart! Now they are taking us back to those bloodied hearts again? Kwani how stupid are these people really? I never knew someone could be so arrogant that the only thing that ends up showing is Stupidity!! At this rate we need only 10 ministers given that Germany has 15 with 89 mil people. Kwani hawa politicians wetu walifunzwa na nani.. It's embarassing to be a teacher and someone points at these fools as one of your students! Aii spare our country the shame and embarassment we have nowhere to hide our heads anymore!!

Na kila mtu atauchukua, mzigo wake mwenyewe mbele ya ...siku hiyo itakuja x2 According to me let justice and fairness prevail in the whole exercise. As others have said, punish all or none. I hope that list includes policemen, especially those who were deployed in Kisumu whom even media houses would testify against with concrete evidence. While at it remember to tackle the chief culprit, the duly rigged in thief, who provocked others into evil acts. Otherwise there is no need because charity (to reform offenders) should begin at home.

If somebody thinks that they can intimidate Ruto so as to make him worship them (read disown ODM/divide ODM) then they are miscalculating because wananchi's eyes are wide open. As Kajwang puts it "we are the people" who vote.

Of course, affirming the claims that 'Ruto...is holding the stakes in RV' is not the obvious way of countering the evidence that he was responsible for the violence.

By the way since Michuki gave the shoot to kill order and the largest number of dead Kenyans were shot by police, does that not make Mechuki the greatest culprit of all? So what is the dude still doing in the- a..hem- lean clean cabinet?

(1) IMLU report suggests that the majority of deaths were not via police action: most deaths were from injuries by blunt or sharp instruments, and significantly fewer than half were caused by gunfire.
(2) Don't know that Michuki did give the order.
(3) The order may have been justified. (cf. the report that there was insurrectionary sentiment and violence in Ksm). It would almost certainly have been justified in RVP at the height of the violence.
(4) Agents of the state, properly-empowered, may be justified in using lethal force.
(5) Ruto wasn't an agent of the state in the relevant sense, and non-Kalenjins in RVP are not, in virtue of their ethnicity legitimate targets for violence. So, which seems likely, if he was responsible for planning, directing or funding the violence, he is in a significantly worse legal and moral position than even Michuki (which is saying something). That difference probably justifies differential exclusion from the Cabinet.

Bwana waweru- Pls do not use too much Mumbo Jumbo to defend something which is wrong!
Kwani those Kenyans who were being windwad like rats were not people?
If anyone ordered this action that person is as bad as the one who gave pple blunt objects to blundgeon pple to death, so is the one who funded gangs to burn women and children in houses , churches etc?
My question to you and all those who love yelling about Ruto's involment- is he guilty just bcoz he is the most prominent Kale in ODM and comes from Eldoret and pple were burnt in a church there?
Kwani intelligence ya Kenya ni ngombe aje? If all these burnings were pre-planned how could they not protect its citizens??
Defending Michuki also is lame bcoz why were pple being shot dead in 10 seconds of being seen in the streets while in Naivasha and Nakuru they were wielding pangas and chatting with the police??
Kwani how stupid do you think the Kenyan public generally is??

excuse me?? who were the agents of the state after the rigged elections?? repeat that by me again!!even kibaki was not an agent of the state until he signed the power-sharing agreement he was ands is still illegal in office- so nobody by the rule of law had the power to given any orders when elections were still under dispute!! how old are you guy and which school did you go to?? try justiflying that i will slam you in the international tribunal for used by Rwanda - kibaki and his goons paid mungiki and they committed genocide in nakuru, naivasha and I hear independent information has been brought forward on video by a independent journalist who gave his camera to villages in Mt. Elgon because the army refused journalist access and it shows all the killings of innocent kenyans by police and army- the beheading was not done by the saboats now it has been confirmed so what can saitoti tell kenyans??

kibaki had no right to take the law in his hands when the elections were disputed!! he used the law illegally so be careful on what you post on here guy and if you have proof on Ruto post it here or hold your peace- facts and propaganda are two separate issues!!

Is it not true that right now Ruto has the stakes in RV, to the kales he is a hero i am not from RV and yet i have heard comments and even read comments in this blog that to kales right now ruto is their hero, the same as Raila is to luos and the same way Musalia is to Maragolis and Kibs to kiuks

So i was just putting a point across and it is only Antonio and probably you who found it offending or cold blooded....

By the way what the heck? Why am i jutifying myself to you anyway?

Hey Kumekuchas
Why can’t we be civilized people here? Why all the threats and emotions I have seen displayed in most of the comments. Why are some bloggers saying so and so is guilty without an iota of evidence? Are they guilty because they don’t belong to the political party you support? Have we become the prosecutor, judge and jury here?

All MPs at this stage meet the requirement of being appointed Ministers as none has been proved guilty in the court of law. That does not mean they should continue holding the position if found guilty in future. In the Kenyan legal system one is presumed innocent till proved guilty and is also entitled to legal representation.

We should let the rule of law take it own course. Those involved in the political violence should be prosecuted irrespective of the region they come from or the political party they belong. It does not matter whether one has a whole tribe behind him or not as the court looks at the evidence provided by prosecution as in a criminal case it one versus the state.

Well you can quote anything including Ngugi wa Thiongo's latest urging his tribesmen never to leave the heard in the care of wolves.

Being calculative is not the same thing as being smart. The deception being broadcasted is premised on one agenda: DESTROY POTENTIAL THREAT AT INFANCY. It never worked with RAO and will never work with Ruto.

When Ivy says utado, she is only giving back the same prescription to the quacks who offered it first. Munya is busy canvassing for cabinet post and having taught as TF at MU, he believes his JABS are authentic. Remember his juvenile tirades on Kamar-his ex-DVC?

The truth is PNU is overstepping thie imagination and they must be disabused of this obsession that Kenyans are collectively dimwits who cannot see through their lies. Kenya is diferent and no amount of reverse logic i verbally discrediting being tribally boxed can wash. Smell the coffee or starve to death. Michuki killed..but so Did Ruto
Karua is a hardliner and so is Anyang nyongo...
Ad nuaseum, Where do you get off thinking that is an argument. Its not a mudslinging contest there are thives and then there are innocent ppl here, there is evidence and rumours, Alleged is alleged its not evidence anyone can allege anything if that basic level of reason escapes you then woe betide you.
Kibaki stole the election and there is evidence ....115%..... we don't need to go to court about that! What is he still doing in office? First things first. Ati alleged.....don't just throw words around. This is an attempt at using Ruto to pass on a message that anybody who appears strong and courageous enough to deal with kikuyu hegemony will be dealt with
.....prcisely the wrong message at this point in time cause kenyans need more of such people your lucky u seem to have 'identified' Ruto, what you don't seem to get is that there are people who think that the current crop of ODM leader including Ruto are too nice on the kikuyu nonsense and may decide to act just to prove a point that Ruto is not the problem...we the people are just plain pissed Ruto or no Ruto touch him and you may wish for the days of Ruto....when times were good.

anonymous,

excuse me?? who were the agents of the state after the rigged elections??

Fair point. But if there were irregularities, then there was a dispute. If there's a legal dispute, then, generally, the status quo ante obtains until the dispute is settled. Even if the election was flawed, Kibbs was justified in exercising the powers of the state pending the resolution of the dispute.

taabu,

I protest. I write a lot better than he does :-)

When Ivy says utado, she is only giving back the same prescription to the quacks who offered it first.

Irrelevant to the matter at hand, even if true. Two wrongs don't make a right and all that.

In politics there are no permanent enemies so as much as some people might shout their heads off that Ruto is a murderer remenber that 2moro he just might be their best friend. I can bet that if Uhuru and Ruto gang up (which is very possible) they can hold this country at ransom. Do not forget that. I think Raila should be very worried about Ruto. He is lucky right now that these PNU MP's are shouting for him but if they ever have a major disagreement, you can bet the political reallignments will be major. I can easily see it in the works.

ha!!!ha!! you make me laugh so who gave you the job to be the mouth piece to warn Raila against ruto?? why don't you turn round and go warn your kikuyu folks about the mungiki murderous gang that just beheaded another businessman in Thika last weekend?? believe me if i were a kikuyu those mungiki's are the ones i would be worried about!! soon all your women will undergo circumcision and you will have no say in that- then they will rule central province through fear and you kikuyu's will have no voice soon!! go put your propaganda about ruto else where !!does Raila look like he has no brains?? when they formed the party with Ruto it was out of respect for each others strengths not weakness they complimented each other in different ways and that is why they won the 2007 elections hands down before kibaki decided to rig himself in!!

so do not post your propaganda here ati Raila should be worried about Ruto!! it is kibaki who should be worried about all the promises he made and can not deliver!!

I DISAGREE YET AGAIN- WHEN A PRESIDENT IS SWORN IN ILLEGALLY THEN HE HAS NO RIGHT TO USE THE STATES RESOURCES TO OPPRESS THE PEOPLE ! THE GOVERNMENT IS THE PEOPLE!!
KIBAKI SWORN IN LIKE A THIEVE AND I STILL MAINTAIN HE HAD NO RIGHT TO USE THE POLICE TO OPPRESS THE PEOPLE OF KENYA!! HE HAD NO RIGHT TO USE THE POLICE TO KILL KENYANS IN ORDER TO STAY IN POWER BY FORCE- HE SHOULD IN-FACT BE SUED BY THE PEOPLE OF KENYA IN A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AND LET US SEE WHAT HIS DEFENSE WILL BE!!
WHAT WILL HE SAY?? I SENT THE POLICE TO SHOOT YOU WHILE YOU WERE DEMONSTRATING BECAUSE YOU WERE GOING TO KILL ME TOO??
EVEN CHILDREN THAT WERE SHOOT DEAD BY THE POLICE WERE A DANGER TO KIBAKI?? GET REAL!! KIBAKI GAVE THE SHOOT TO KILL ORDER- DOWN THE ROAD HE WILL HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO KENYANS SOONER THAN LATER!!

HE RIGGED - HE WAS ILLEGAL IN OFFICE AND HE HAD NO RIGHT OR AUTHORITY TO USE THE STATE RESOURCES TO OPPRESS KENYANS!! PERIOD!!

Waeru, is there something in the constitution that compels the gov't to use live rounds for some selected citizens and rubber bullets to others?

Why are you all shouting here? Did not even Raila recognize Kibaki as His Excellency, the President of Kenya and he becoming Prime Minister? Forgotten - they signed the Agreement recognizing each other's position? So how does it come that certain people continue discussing the legality of the elections? This subject is past and forgotten, at least by the mainplayers involved. Building the Cabinet, that's the question right now. And here I agree that most of them have dirted their hands - some before, some during the Elections and some after the Elections. None of them is clean - from the top to the bottom. So calling for a clean Cabinet is a joke since there is nobody around (unless you take some untainted new MP's) - calling for a lean Cabinet should be discussed here and how to solve this problem. Throwing insults at each other is not getting us anywhere. We are only continuing the fights we have all promised never to repeat again. So why are you going back to the question: are you a Kikuyu, so I as a Luo can kill you - and vice versa? Not to forget the Kalenjins and Luhjas. Stop please this ridiculous nonsense and start using your brains to find a positive way how to go together into a better future. All of us together, no matter where we come from. This is the lesson we all should have learned during the past weeks.

We cannot as responsible citizens continue to support all and any perpetrators of the post election violence. Ours is a society with both spoken and unspoken divisions, which continue to impede the progress of our nation. We should all learn from the peace provisions, and work to ensure that our government comes to gain the respect of the international and panAfrican community. Although the means of excluding Honorable Ruto are incorrect, we cannot continue to interpret our laws as they should be, but as they are. The legal minds of our community must educate the populace on the legal requirements for exclusion from government, or the means by which we can ensure that rule of law becomes a the norm and not the exception in our great country. We can stumble but we must not fall.

Anonymous said...

Somebody here said that the law protects somebody until he is proved guilty. Although this is right - it is not in Kenya at least not upto this very moment. We all know this. People have been implicated for murder, corruption, fraud etc. - but no Court has ever condemned them. On the contrary they walked out as respected men - continuing being 'honourable' MP, Ministers and even President. This is something else which has to change: the legal system. Judges and Prosecutors have to be independent and not 'obeying' to the President and/or Prime Minister. The legal system in Kenya is rotten and only serves the poor whereas the big fishes continue murdering, corrupting and looting. In other countries a MP, Minister and other Official has to step down as soon as he is implicated for a crime - this is how it should be in Kenya too. And if this would be applied, the major part of the current Government would already be out of job (to be fair, also some of the Raila-team) - would this not already solve the problem how to build a lean and clean Cabinet?
There are some 'learned' lawyers around (some of them even MP's). Get them to work this out: An independent Jurisdiction - and all problems are solved.

Am njoroge - i did not rig the elections and i have never taken any ones land. My father and brother died on 30th and my mum is still at Kenyatta hospital as i write. I have read all the responses and am just alarmed. The hate i see in this blog is just too much - if our destiny was death, so be it. Otherwise why should the common suffer while the problem is those big men. This is misplaced anger. I live it all to your concsience!!!!!!!!! hate is unGodly

Anonymous said...

Anon@11.05 - Njoroge
I am surprised that you are asking yourself why the common man suffer on behalf of the big men?

Please be informed that you are the answer to your problems!!! Until and unless you come out in the open in opposition to their wayward ways I assure you you will continue experiencing the agony and pain that has befallen you poor soul.

The choice is yours!! Do not get me wrong here, I am campaigning for any side because I don't subscribe to any. One thing that I know is that all politicians are the enemy of both my neighbour and myself.

In other words what I am saying Njoroge is that a Kenyan politician is neither on your side nor on mine. Do you get it that we share a common destiny? Wake up and relieve yourself of your suffering.

This year will be a really long one for Kenya. As a nation, we have seen, heard and experienced what we have never in our lifetimes. Yet, as the peace accord was being signed, I thought we can start afresh. When both the PNU and ODM suddenly reached out to each other. Was I naive to think we can do better as a country and that it's only a matter of time and we shall show Africa the way? Only God knows. I am a very saddened man indeed. As Kenyans continue to suffer in the IDPs, others have suddenly become orphaned, many more have to trek from Muthurwa to town, and yet the majority are suffering from inflation, our leaders are only happy to play games. If this is not a curse being invited on a nation then I don't know what is. But God should forbid, not judge the whole country by the deeds of a few. This world is a very BIG place and every country is fighting to be ahead of the next. China is now scouting the whole os Africa for resources, Europe and U.S too, yet the U.S is also heavily present in the middle East. While these guys are busy doing these, positioning themselves for competitive advantage, Kenya and Zimbabwe are there.......embroiled in self-destructions. God forbid.

Anon 11:59 ----- 'relieve yourselve of your suffering? .....
Is this all you can say?

This 'Njoroge' has opened his heart to all of us - and that's all we can reply to him: just shut up and relieve yourself?

Is this the Kenya we want? A country disregarding the plight and suffering of his people?

Or is the reason for your cruel reply that fact that he has presented himself as 'Njoroge' - a Kikuyu? In other words: he belongs to 'the other' tribe and therefore 'deserves' to suffer?

If this is true - then shame on all of us.

Njoroge - whoever you are - believe me, there are others than this Anon 11:59 -

There are thousands and even millions feeling your pain. Don't give up and continue telling us about you. Maybe this could help you to find peace because, believe me, there are many more who have suffered the same way you did.

We are on your side.

The problem with Kenya is that we have a dictator in office (an aesthetically challenged one at that).Well, I can not get over that...

Dictators rule by propaganda and the use of totally obscure, pieces of information encapsulated in a slimy layer of verbose crap, with the intent to provide not an answer but only provide total befuddlement.(The more alert reader might notice that I just did that).
I am not a Kalenjin, My defense of the gentleman is not based on any tribal affiliation. My defense of William Samoei is based on simple reason. EVIDENCE. When it comes to Ruto, I need one thing, solid evidence. And, if there is evidence of his participation in crime why nearly 4 months later? The demonization of Ruto is part of a strategy of keeping him from one day assuming the leadership of Kenya. Ever wonder why athletes around Eldoret were wrong accused of masterminding violence? well so that anybody is western Kenya who offers challenge to the status quo is quashed.
So I will say this once more, William Samoei Ruto, remains a hero of mine. I rest easy knowing he is on my side of the divide. Unless proved otherwise, I support him.
I offer this hypothesis the red-eyed minister of LG is directly responsible for the Naivasha Killings...

I know that this is out of topic but I am so perturbed that I need to post it! Please read this............ and reply me! Are we?
Kenya has always been in the forefront of actions and activities in Africa. During Arpatheid in South Africa we were at the forefront calling for the liberation of our brothers and sisters from the yokes of the Boers. We are a power centre north of Limpopo.
Our airline - Kenya airways has the logo: Pride of Africa! But I wonder if we are pride of Africa anymore! Events of recent years, months, Weeks and days have knocked all our pride and we should instead be the Shame of Africa!
I have been ashamed this week when some white British colleagues at work told me that Mugabe was about to do a 'Kibaki' in his country! But they wondered if Zimbabweans would do a Kenya down south!
I am sorry, this type of association does not make me proud of being Kenyan one bit! It is very shameful that we are nolonger known for our athletic and tourism prowesses but for exporting rigging mulpractices!
Ngai where shall I hid my shame from my colleagues! We are in deed shame of Africa.

Njoroge,

I am sorry about what happened to you.At least you have brought to fore the human angle to this story which is what i have been trying to do all day.

The hate, been blinded by politics and ethnicity is amazing in this blog and its only here you find people justifying murder just because its done by 'their side'!

I hope that one day Kenyans will unlock their potential and stop been held hostage by politicians who are very self-serving.I hope we will realise that when/as we fight the bigwigs are geting richer and richer as they fuel our hate.

Anyone reading this blog today will be amazed by the bile and hate. Now imagine if we are the so-called middle-class intellectuals who are so ready to kill, how easy is it to brainwash the peasant in the village??????

God save Kenya!

At least I am in agreement with Anon@12.56 that emphasizes my earlier response to Anon@1159 (Njoroge). My piece did not in anyway suggest that Njoroge doesn't have my sympathy. On the contrary I saw Njoroge's case as part of the many painful cases kenyans from all walks of life have gone through in the name of supporting this or that side of politics.

We need to appreciate the fact that Kenya desperately needs voices of people like a mr. njoroge so that we can bring to a stop this political mischief that has brought suffering to our people. The fact that you still look at my piece as being tribal is not helping Njoroge's cause but you continue to perpetuate his suffering. By the way we need as many 'njoroges' as possible. If you know that you are supporting the status quo of politics you are the people that I am referring to here. We are calling upon you to come out in the open and recognize that the Kenyan political STATUS QUO is the enemy of the people and not you or me.

To Anon@11:59- Njoroge my apologies. I didn't mean to disparage your plight.

I would like to change this to "Africa's Shame - Kenya's Misery".

So don't - and I plead with you from the bottom of my heart - don't let them down.

I would love to sympathise with Njoroge but I can't, this is why, If kenyans were just a bunch of thoughtless haters of kuyos then kebaki would not have gotten elected for the first time. That is the clearest indication that we are a progressive people. Kibaki and unfortunately just about every njoroge I know started behaving as if kenya was exclusively theirs. kenyans then counterd by voting kibs out in a free and fair election, according to the law of the land. When kibs tried to deny them that you must understand their anger 40 plus yrs of waiting to exhale the being cheated that is worse than murder. Take the KCSE for example many Luos kambas kisiis, luyhas kales future have been screwed by the attempt at one tribe to dominate the rest, then jobs, some clans have one principal bread winner imagine that guy denied an opportunity to earn a living cause the job is given to a kuyo the efect is worse than murdering that whole clan. Systematic 'finishing' nyanza, ignoring remote parts of kenya ammounts to crimes against humanity what happened to a few kuyos in one week pales in comparison to what kibaki gov as done to the rest of kenya in the past five yrs. You guys declared a 'Smart' war on innocent kenyans who gave one of your sons an appotunity to lead us all. Now your crying about your war casualties. I feel nothing. All is fair in love and war. Try and all inclusive plan then see what a nice counrty you will live in kenyans demonstrated that they want to work with you thats why raila said kibaki tosha and kenyans agreed. Just go back there and lets start again.
