Next Oprah School After South Africa Planned For Kenya

archive

Gosh!! Of all the places to get this kind of important information!!

You will not believe it, but it is contained in one of the controversial Jeff Koinange emails currently being published in the Distant Lovers blog. No doubt most of the colossal number of regular readers who have been visiting the blog for the sex will be disappointed, but this is good news for Kenyans who have been starved of any good news for a long time (Announcements of economic growth which most people cannot see or feel is not good news).

According to the latest post in Distant lovers, Our own Wangari Maathai visited Oprah in the States to seal the deal. Jeff Koinange asked Marianne Brinner whether she was willing to take part in the project and work with Oprah and Prof Maathai in establishing the special school for the underprivileged. You can read the details at the blog for yourself including Jeff Koinange’s own planned initiative. Actually today’s post is an open letter to Jeff reminding him of the project.

  1. I was touched by the comment posted yesterday. It was the worst stereotype i have come across since someone said that a certain tribe should go for the cut before being presidents. To Xris, just leave the matter and continue with your own analysis. Many may not like them, but, just you have said, they will not clear what is known about other things.
An advice, just let the JK thing rest. Wash your hands off it. You see, we could always talk about economy, politics and varied issues (Nation Scandal, ODM London trip flop, etc) no one called another tribe a name. Now, out of something that you and me could run away so fast has risen to labelling a whole tribe. You might not even be Kamba, (but a son of a Masai, Kikuyu, Kalenjin policeman or civil servant serving Kenya through posting in Machakos) but now, the Machakos connection has led Kambas to be grazed. Pal, take it easy. Take heart

  2. Chris move on and let the JK ghost rest. You must be sore all over after the uncivilized barbs. For your information there is nothing new in this schol story. For those who read the blog (when yoou first gave the link) it is old stuff not worth a headline ama what do you think? By this I mean reading for information and not selectively for sensationally (mudslinging).

  4. Brings out the lowest in humans. An incognito opportunity to mudsling without the fear of slander/libel suits all over your backside. A cheap attempt to popularise a blog.
