Today, we delve into the most explosive and eye-opening interview I’ve witnessed in a very long time—one that truly deserves to be called the "Interview of the Decade." This session, lasting just under an hour, featured two significant Kenyan figures, Martha Karua and Cyrus Jirongo, and revealed deep truths about Kenya’s political landscape. It exposed what is truly happening behind the scenes with Ruto and his allies, shedding light on the country's current struggles. The interview also emphasized the urgency for Kenyans to act, or risk facing even worse consequences.
In this session, Martha Karua, drawing from her extensive history in Kenyan politics, shared her candid thoughts. She strongly criticized the current government, calling it the worst regime Kenya has ever had. While not intended as a bashing session, it revealed sobering truths about the reality of Kenya today. Karua pointed out the continuous use of hate campaigns in politics, which have often divided the country along tribal lines.
She also emphasized the importance of history and track record in leadership. Many Kenyans, particularly from the Mount Kenya region, were told not to focus on history, but on the future. However, Karua believes that a lack of a proven track record in respecting the law and governance shows that leaders will only continue to be what they already are.
Karua further explained that while the majority of Kenyans did not vote for the current regime, the voter apathy among over 7 million registered voters allowed the rigging to occur. The message was clear: Kenyans must exercise their sovereign power and demand accountability from their leaders. The interview called for unity and collective action to hold the government accountable, especially when it comes to issues like the affordable housing scheme, which Karua criticized for benefiting a select few instead of the public.
Additionally, Karua expressed her disillusionment with the NACO report, which failed to address critical issues like the high cost of living. She revealed that the fallout within the leadership has deepened, and the cracks in the leadership are now clear.
This interview was an eye-opener, giving insight into the deep flaws within the current political environment and offering a clear call to action for all Kenyans. To fully grasp the gravity of what was revealed, I highly recommend watching the video linked below. It will help clarify the current state of affairs and reinforce the importance of collective action.
