I’d like to discuss Bob Newton’s book, The Raila Conspiracy. This book was published before the August 8th elections, and in hindsight, it almost seems prophetic. If you read the book and then compare it with the events that unfolded during the elections, you'll be struck by how closely the two align. It’s clear that there has been a conspiracy around Raila Odinga for a long time; the book simply laid it out in detail. I imagine the people behind the alleged rigging of the election must have read this book and seen how accurately it predicted the events, which may have led them to suppress it. They banned interviews with the author, removed the book from shelves, and attempted to silence its release, perhaps to avoid drawing attention to the connections between the book’s claims and the election results.
It would be easy to dismiss the book’s claims as too far-fetched, but considering how accurate Newton’s previous research has been, it’s hard to ignore the possibility that the events described in the book might be true. If someone has been so accurate in the past, we should take notice when they present such claims, regardless of how unbelievable they seem.
Now, let’s talk about the situation with businessman Jimmy Wanjigi. Several months ago, a bizarre headline appeared about guns being discovered at his home, and the following morning, commandos stormed his house in a highly publicized search. They were looking for something hidden—likely weapons or even a ceremonial sword. The search was so intense that Wanjigi’s house was damaged, but there were no conclusive results. What’s especially strange is that Raila Odinga’s name came up during the search, and the situation seemed to calm only when it attracted international attention. It quickly turned into a mystery.
Jimmy Wanjigi is known for his business dealings and connections, particularly in large tenders, and he's also been linked to scandals dating back to the Kibaki administration. His involvement in international matters, such as with the Swiss ambassador, further complicates things. A recorded meeting between Wanjigi and the ambassador seemed to suggest some form of corruption, but the ambassador’s subsequent investigation in Kenya led to his removal from the country.
The question now is: did they find the ceremonial sword they were searching for? Has it been found since then? No one knows for sure, but one thing is clear: the sword, which symbolizes authority, is an object of power that won’t fade from the public’s eye anytime soon. It will likely continue to feature in Kenya’s political drama.
