Open Jamhuri letter to fallen Kenyan heroes

State of the nation of Kenya

Dear Pinto, Mboya, JM Ouko and other fallen Kenyan heroes and heroines,

I bring you Jamhuri day greetings from the motherland that you loved so much that you ended up losing your lives for.
Ex-colonial detainees, Left to Right: J. D. Kali, Kungu Karumba, Pio Gama Pinto, Paul Ngei and Muinga Chokwe.

I could not resist writing to you at this moment in the history of our beloved country because so much has changed and more changes are happening so rapidly that it is impossible to analyze what is likely to happen next. I am sure some of the changes will bring wide grins to your faces gentlemen. I sense you could do with some cheering up about the grim republic you left behind called Kenya.

You will all remember the impunity that led to your respective assassinations and left your killers to roam scot free and to continue enriching themselves at the expense of the Kenyan people without fear of ever being arrested. The impunity that was launched by characters like Mbiyu Koinange and Njoroge Mungai, the two fellows who just couldn’t stand you, Tom. After your assassinations especially after your killing, Tom, the masters of impunity would pose the question; “we killed Tom Mboya and nothing happened, who is this cockroach?” Gentlemen I am happy to report that that old man impunity has received some serious body blows in recent times which I am certain he will never recover from. Ever.

Apart from the new constitution which gives the people legal ground to fight impunity even before it is fully implemented, a number of circumstances have worked together to douse the fire of this evil giant that felled you and many others apart from being a stumbling block to Kenyans ever getting anything done.

Fascinatingly just like Africans fighting in the world wars in distant lands came back more aware of their rights and helped speed the clamour for independence, Kenyans in the diaspora have been a major force in demanding for change back home. Technology like cell phones and the World Wide Web (which did not exist during your time) have resulted in shrinking the world into a small village where you cannot get into too much mischief without your neighbors knowing exactly what you are up to. The result, our fallen heroes, is some extremely unlikely headlines you will not believe even from the grave. Like a minister stepping aside for investigation to be carried out (is now a very normal occurrence). Ministers in Africa have not yet started resigning, but we are getting there. These days people discuss the president and his failings openly. And sometimes screaming headlines talk about it. You gentlemen may be quick to point out that it is because the Mwai Kibaki (you worked very closely with him, Tom) was always a weak leader. But I believe it has more to do with the exciting times we are privileged to be living in.

Robert you will be happy to know that a report detailing the way you were murdered at State house, Nakuru has been made public after being tabled in parliament. It looks like your killers will be the first to be brought to book. That will give me a lot of personal satisfaction because out of all assassinations in Kenya yours was the most unnecessary display of impunity gone mad. But we shall have to wait and see what happens.

But the most sensational news that I have for you guys is that the masters of impunity and big names behind the post election violence of 2008 are about to be charged in the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague. You will have heard about the skirmishes from the numerous Kenyans who joined you in the grave at around that time. And surely you will not have failed to notice the high number of pregnant women and innocent children who joined you for no fault of their own during that time. You guys know the setup in Kenya well and are well aware that there is no way that they would have been charged and tried in Kenya. Well the ICC got them. Hahahahahahaha. I can’t help but laugh. This is just too funny.

In fact one of the suspects is running so scared that he has been vomiting all kinds of statements and ordering his lawyers to institute all and any kind of stay of execution to delay things. But luckily this is not the Kenyan courts we are talking about here and so as the man panics like a trapped deer Kenyans are taking in the drama in glee wonder and amazement to see if it is really possible for the high and mighty to fall because it has never before been witnessed in Kenya.

As you gentlemen know it is the minnows who usually take the blame for the mysterious big men real perpetuators of the act. Like Nahashon Njenga was charged with your murder Tom and that innocent Kamba man for yours Pinto and Jonah Anguka stood trial for your murder Robert (although he was acquitted). These nobodies took the fall in place of the Mbiyu Koinanges. Njoroge Mingais and Nicholas Biwotts. That is the usual way of doing things here. That is why it is so amazing that this time round the real culprits will be called to answer for their deeds.

Then there is this amazing Wikileaks leaks that have expose the inner secrets of mighty governments of the world like the American government. I can hear you chuckle Tom because you of all people know very well how the Americans operate, always looking to cover their own a**** at all costs while hypocritically pretending to be everybody’s best friend.

Gentlemen I can say with confidence that amid all the daily chaos and confusing headlines Kenya is on track for full liberation. You guys did not die in vain after all.

Happy Jamuhuri day guys.

  2. Chris, with due respect, it is time u and many Africans investigated the TRUTH and not propaganda.

Focusing on Tom Mboya, we are aware of this as a FACT:

CIA files indicate that Mboya was an important agent-of-influence for the CIA, not only in Kenya but in all of Africa. In other words, TM was a CIA ASSET.

A Secret CIA report dated November 19, 1959, states that Mboya served as a check on extremists at the second All-African People’s Conference (AAPC) in Tunis.

NB: You know what extremist means here.

    Hear this brother:

The report states that “serious friction developed between Ghana’s Prime Minister KWAME NNkrumah and Kenyan nationalist Tom Mboya who COOPERATED effectively last December to check extremists at the AAPC’s first meeting in Accra.

    Hear this:

While “cooperating” with the CIA in Accra and Tunis, Mboya selected the father of the president of the United States, i.e. OBAMA Jr to receive a scholarship and be airlifted to the University of Hawaii where he met and married President Obama’s mother.

    Hear this:

At the All - Africa Peoples Conference in 1961, the only persons given clean bill of health was:

    - TM, and
    - Joshua Nkomo,
    - Munanka of Tanganyika,
    - Abdel Magid of Tunia and
    - John Kakonge of UG.

All others, such as Ahmed of Algeria, Mario of Angola, Ntau of Basutoland, Kingu of Cameroon, Kiwewa of Congo, Kojo of Ghana, Toure of Guinea, Diallo of Mali etc were BLACKLISTED by CIA.

    Hear this:

Nkrumah would eventually be overthrown in a 1966 CIA-backed coup while he was on a state visit to China and North Vietnam.

The CIA overthrow of Nkrumah followed by one year the agency’s overthrow of Sukarno, another coup that was connected to President Obama’s family on his mother’s side.

    Finally, hear this:

Upon Mboya’s death, every embassy in Nairobi flew its flag at half-mast except for one, the embassy of the People’s Republic of China.

    So much things to say.

Anyway, some mursik will be appreciate as we watch ignorant masses being fed with cowdung.

  3. Let us add one more hint for those who are wise:

In 1967, Obama Jr (Nero) and his mother joined her husband in Jakarta. Who was this husband?

In 1965, LOLO SOETORO had been called back from Hawaii by General Suharto to serve as an officer in the Indonesian military to help launch a bloody CIA-BACKED GENOCIDE of Indonesian Communists and Indonesian Chinese throughout the expansive country.

Suharto consolidated his power in 1966, the same year that Barack Obama, Sr.’s friend, MBOYA, HAD HELPED to rally pro-U.S. pan-African support for the CIA’s overthrow of Nkrumah in Ghana in 1966.

mmmmmmmm, a man who was used to launch the first coup in Africa (if we are right) and thereby, end the African dream is a HERO to Chris and millions of others.

Keep up brother with your VAIN hope and dreams.

More Popcorn please as we watch this TRAGIC drama unfold.

  4. Happy Jamhuri Day, and I quote a US cable leaked on Wikileaks on 9th of December

"The Embassy strongly believes Mr. Amos Wako has engaged in and benefited from public corruption in his capacity as Attorney General for the past 18 years by interference with judicial and other public processes."

"One can find an Attorney General who has successfully maintained an almost perfect record of non-prosecution. He accomplishes this through the most complex of smoke and mirrors tactics, seeking to appear to desire prosecution while all along doing his utmost to protect the political elites."

"Under Ringera's leadership, the Anti-Corruption Commission has actively participated in a system that works to discourage investigation, minimize the likelihood of prosecution, and throw out court cases that appear to have a chance of taking down senior government officials. Like the Attorney General, Ringera can claim a perfect record of not investigating and convicting a single Kenyan government official. This is a remarkable tally in a country that is consistently ranked among the most corrupt in the world."

"Kosgey is ... accused of looting the real estate assets of former parastatal Kenya National Assurance Company (KNAC) when he served as its director from 1989 to 1992.... By illegally appropriating KNAC's most valuable assets, Kosgey reduced the company to an undercapitalized shell that ultimately collapsed.... As a result of the collapse of KNAC, 900 employees lost their jobs and thousands of Kenyans from all walks of life lost their pensions or did not receive insurance payments upon the deaths of beneficiaries."

Kosgey's diverse corruption activites over decades have negatively impacted US foreign assistance goals in a number of ways. His continuing ownership of illegally transferred forest lands, part of the greater Mau Forest which comprises Kenya's largest water catchment area, has contributed to ethnic conflict over land ownership in the Rift Valley, and has also contributed to deforestation and resulting drought and hunger that currently plagues Kenya. Donors, including the United States, have had to provide billions of dollars in emergency food aid to Kenya over the last four years of chronic drought."

"alleged that Kosgey participated in incitement, planning, and illegal financing of post-election violence in and around his rural constituency ... in the Rift Valley province.... Many workers and their families ... fled or were driven out of the area during the post-election violence."

Question: Why is this particular cable not big news in the Kenyan media?

Have a happy Jamhuri day again, of you have somthing to celebrate because personally I don't.

Thanx for the heads up. I am ashamed of myself as I further ask, why isn't this big news on Kumekucha if nowhere else?

Kosgei brought down Kenya National Assurance and that is a fact and not gossip as one of the principals said of Wikileaks. The man should not be allowed anywhere near a cattle dip committee let alone hold a cabinet post. Is it ODM policy to provide more robbery opportunities for known thieves of public assets and funds?

  7. Induldge us with their conspiracy theories on how the late T.J. Mboya mastermined CIA coups in various African states, and even went on to hand pick a select few to study in the United States of America.

Musyoka Kalonzo and Dema Gogue Livondo are way far far below T.J. Mboya's stature. Enough said.

Mmmmmmmmmm. So The Kennedy Foundation was a front for the CIA? In other words, according to the fertile conspiracy theories, some 81 Kenyan students and another 230 African students were sent to the USA be trained in the art of becoming CIA operatives in Africa?

What about the 50 Kenyan students plus 600 African students who were hand picked to study at "The Peoples'Friendship University" in Moscow, USSR? Did they become KGB operatives as well?

    The OSAGYEFO DR. KWAME NKRUMAH.
The man became his own worst shadow and nightmare after Ghana attained its independence. Let's not blame it on T.J. Mboya, the CIA or any other external conspiratorial forces.

    TRADE UNION ACT OF 1958:
Nkrumah ordered strike leaders and opposition politicians arrested and mysteriously eliminated in some instances under the Trade Union Act of 1958.

Mmmmmmmmm. T.J. Mboya is to blame for the directive.

    THE DENTENTION ACT:
Some of Nkrumah's henchmen, close relatives and associates used the the Dentention Act to arrest innocent people in order to acquire their political offices and business assets.

Mmmmmmmmmm. Who is to blame? Let's scapegoat T.J. Mboya and his American educated Ghanaian lieutenants.

    CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT:
Nkrumah proposed a constitutional amendment that made the Convention People's Party (CPP) the only legal party and himself president for life of both the nation and political party.

The young Ghanaian nation became a one-party state, and the amendment transfromed Nkrumah's presidency into a de facto legal dictatorship
    .

Mmmmmmmmmm. Did T.J. Mboya make him do it? What do you think?

Now you know who started the one party system, president for life political, detention of political opponents, hostile take over of people's political offices, business assets, properties, etc traditions on the continent.

Laurent Gbagbo and many others have been mirroring his ways of old.

    GHANAIAN MILITARY COUP:
John McCone is the man who engineered the coup in Ghana, a first of its kind, then went on and dangled a carrot infront of General J.A. Amkrah's eyes by specifying he would be the main man to lead Ghana after the coup
    .

Mmmmmmmmm. Once again T.J. Mboya should be helf reponsible for dangling the carrot.

And for one of Africa's darkets chapters, the evolution militayr coups and dictatorships.

What conspiracy theory are you writing about? We only wrote what CIA, wrote about their ASSETS. Thats all.

More so, we are not here to defend Kwame or any other African so called presidents.

Far from it. The only point we are making is this. Do not be excited about some of the so called heroes, for they are not what they appear to be or, as the media and court historians tell us.

As concerns the famous airlifts to Moscow and USA, we can tell you what Masinde Muliro said about them then.

For instance, we know this a FACT. KADU rejected both these airlifts as favoring certain TRIBES, namely, the majority KIKUYUS and LUOS over other tribes.

For instance, KADU deputy leader Masinda Muliro, according to Reuters, said KADU would send a delegation to the United States to investigate Kenyan students who received “gifts” from the Americans and “ensure that further gifts to Kenyan students are administered by people GENUINELY interested in Kenya’s development.’”

Muliro went on to say this:

Africans were “disturbed and embittered” by the airlift of the selected students. Muliro “stated that “preferences were shown to two major tribes [Kikuyu and Luo] and many U.S.-bound students had FAILED preliminary and common entrance examinations, while some of those LEFT behind held first-class certificates.”

As for Mboya, we know this. Mboya received a $100,000 grant for the airlift from the Kennedy Foundation after he turned down the same offer from the U.S. State Department, obviously concerned that direct U.S. assistance would look suspicious to pro-Communist Kenyan politicians who suspected Mboya of having CIA ties.

The Airlift Africa project was underwritten by the Kennedy Foundation and the African-American Students Foundation.

Off course, this was after CIA reports indicated on April, 3 1958 that:

Mboya “still appears to be the most promising of the African leaders.”

Another CIA weekly summary, Secret and dated December 18, 1958, calls Mboya the Kenyan nationalist an “able and dynamic young chairman” of the People’s Convention party who was viewed as an opponent of “extremists” like Nkrumah, supported by “Sino-Soviet representatives.”

NB: Lets us deal with FACTS as they are and refrain from namecalling.

  12. I wish the C-I-C had done the following in 2007.

    He has today said:

"I am aware that the process of dispensing justice in regard to the post election violence has continued to engage the minds of Kenyans. Therefore, as the ICC process gets underway, I urge Kenyans to demonstrate patience and political maturity," said the President.

The President equally issued orders to the police force and the national cohesion commission to crack down on politicians who may issue provocative utterances in the course of the ICC process that may reignite the ethnic animosity the country experienced in 2008.

"Let us all embrace peace and the spirit of forgiveness to enable our nation move ahead. Let us not engage in utterances that compromise our national unity. I, have therefore, directed the Commissioner of Police and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission to deal swiftly with any individuals or groups engaging in hate speech," he said.

I concur. I have read what Chris has said here in his blog about Tom Mboya over the years. He has also talked about the man's weaknesses and I think there is no other better single source of balanced information on the Tom Mboya ANYWHERE. Thanks for your excellent work Chris Kumekucha.

My point is that despite TJ's shortfalls he remains a giant and will always be a giant in African politics. One thing I find absolutely amazing is that the guy still holds the record for being the only guy without a university degree to ever address students at Makerere University. Folks, don't worry it will take more than a few ignorant comments in Kumekucha to bring down TJ's impeccable image.

But what fascinates me more at this moment is why Odinga stooges like Phil here would be so concistently determined to spread faslehoods about this son of Africa. trells you a lot about how TJ remains a threat to the Odingas even from the grave.

Kalenjin, Kamba, Luhya, Kisii and of course Kikuyu and Luo students benefited a lot from the pre-independence airlifts as well as post-independence airlifts.

What a wonderful way to name names and beneficiaries of the both airlifts without name calling for a change.

The more things change the more they stay same.

At least we now know who its that paid the piper and called the tunes to settle Cold War scores on the African continent.

Have things changed in any way, shape or fashion with how Kenyans and Africans deal with American embassies in Africa, and American colleges, universities and certain institutions in the United States of America?

"Africans are still 'disturbed and embittered'" by the overly targeted issuance of VISA approval to certain selected students to study in the United States of America.

Very little has changed with regard to how "preferences are still shown to Kenyans students" from major [particular] ethnicities.

And many of these [Kenyan] students are those who may have failed to qualify for a place at the major local universities.

FACT: "Mboya received a $100,000 grant for the airlift."

But people [so called "well informed Kenyans" tend to forget the follwoing known fact.

FACT: some prominent Kenyan politicians, individuals, and families acquired (literally grabbed with impunity) huge tracts of land, commercial farms, ranches, properties (commercial plots, buildings, homes) and wealth after the British Crown (Home Office) and several financial institutions loaned millions of pounds and million of dollars to compensate the "fleeing colonial settlers, absentee landlords and quasi-farmers" as well as "retreating British expatriates."

BTW, Kenya still has one of the highest student population in the United States, the UK, Canada and Australia.

The question remains; are they still pawns in harvesting fields for intelligence agencies like their counterparts from the 1960s?

Have things changed in any way, shape or form? Or shall it be said that the more things change, the more they remain the same?

Your guess is as good as mine.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KENYA. HAPPY JAMUHURI DAY TO ALL.

On July, 18 2010, on this blog, we wrote this:

Now, the question is this, is the USA a friend of Kenyans as “she” loudly claims or a deadly enemy? Many Kenyans and many around the world view the America government as pursuing friendly policies towards us. We beg to differ. We differ because America is not a friend, but, a vampire that has been consuming the third world and especially we, the African people."

As such, we do not need Wikileaks to know what has been going and is still going.

At this time, we are of the view that, Assange is a TROJAN HORSE.

    Sample this:

He has about 250, 000 pages of "leaked" materials.

To tell the world about this, he selectively choose some of the world's most ULRA - ESTABLISHMENT news media to EXCLUSIVELY handle the leaks.

Now, someone who decides to use media like New York Times to decide what will be leaked. The plot thickens when you consider this.

One the persons at the New York Times assigned the "leaking" job is David E. Sanger whose associates in the high places he sits are people like: Condi Rice, former defence Secretary William Perry, former CIA head John Deutch, former state Depart. Dep and now the WB priest, Robert Zoellick.

More so, these cables are not "top secret." At this level, between 2 - 3 million US Govt. employees are cleared to see such documents. Even worse, around 500, 000 other have access to the Secret Internet Protocol Network.

To add to this, only about 6% or 15, 000 pages were even secret. Another 40% were the lowest level, "confidential," and the rest were UNCLASSIFIED.

So, which SECRETS has he revealed?

It is not that we "despise" Ivy League of Fools, it is only we know this:

"most schooling [AT IVY LEAGUE OF FOOLS] is TRAINING for STUPIDITY and COMFORMITY."

This one is duly plagiarised from here:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpbGHZuVsw0

    xxxx

We are also aware of this:

"Although this science will be diligently studied, it will be rigidly confined to the GOVERNING CLASS.

The populace (SHEEP) will not be allowed to know how its CONVICTIONS WERE GENERATED.

When the technique has been perfected, EVERY GOVERNMENT that has been in CHARGE OF EDUCATION of for A GENERATION will be able to control its subjects securely without the need of armies or policemen."

This is duly plagiarised from Bertrand Russel's writings.

    xxxx

Well, we doubt if this will make sense to you anyway. So, let us go back and enjoy Bob Marley who knew without having joined Ivy League of Fools that:

    Babylon system is the vampire,

Suckin' the children day by day,

Me say: de Babylon system is the vampire, FALLING EMPIRE,

    Building CHURCH and UNIVERSITY,

    DECEIVING the people continually,

Me say them graduatin' THIEVES and MURDERERS.

You suck, do you have an ego problem? Please know that we do appreciate your posts, though it's OBVIOUS! that you rely on information from others, but we are used with you providing us with second hand news, but do know when to SHUT UP!

Remember the scuffle that you recently had with the Oracle, no need to fly to close to the sun, you will get burnt.

Merry Christmas Bro, hope you are not quoting the Bible for the sake of it.

Mmmmh! Mwarang'ethe, Mwarang'ethe, you were challenged to name the schools you attended, so that we can judge for ourselves if indeed ONLY FOOLS! can gain admission.

By the way did the good relations that the Late Tom Mboya "create" with the CIA enable you to be a beneficiary, as it is that you reside in the USA and seem to pretend to be or atleast act like the CIA.

Too much Popcorn will make you FAT! Relying too much on the works of others exposes you as a FRAUD! Your bitterness for having failed to join the IVY LEAGUE of schools is coz of too much "dubbing" ( a habit that you have carried on with to date) na kutumia "mwakenya" mob.

Don't waste your time with that or is it ET (Extra Terrestrial ) called Mwara"N"gethe. But you are correct, too much "dubbing" in school made him miss the marks to join the IVY LEAGUE of schools. @ Mwara"N"gethe, Oracle was right when he said it's better for you to be posting using BULGARIAN LANGUAGE!

Do not rely on Sumerian tablets for your self inflicted headache, borrowing from the Oracle, Perhaps you educate lazy bloggers on how the economies of Aborigines, Amazonian Indians and Eskimos work.

With all due respect, do some of you ever spend part of your leisure (free) time on reading materials that are informative, educative and worthy for any inquisitive Kenyan minds?

Read: Tom Mboya: The Man Kenya Wanted to Forget. By David Goldsworthy

    Was Mboya a CIA agent?
    Why did he want power?
Why was Kenyatta afraid of him?
    Above all, who killed Tom?
Foreword By Dr. ATieno Othiambo, of University of Nairobi.

Some of the known Suba beneficiaries of 'Mboya Scholarships:'
Alphonce Okuku, John Collins Omondi Tuju, Ajowi, Obilo, Gondi, Arum, Audi, Sang'a, John Osilo, Omalla, Obare, Apondi, and his fianceƩ Pamela Odede

"It appears that he ... controlled the dispensation of his scholarships rather closely, ... but that he bent every effort towards selecting the best qualified of those he preferred. In Mr. Robert Stephen's [of the USIS] judgment, those who received Mboya'scholarships were better qualified than most of the [130] students who joined the airlift with funds of their own."

What did Masinde Muliro's, KADU deputy leader know [or didn't] about the "eight Kenyan [Luhya] students admitted to Morgan state, in Baltimore, Maryland?

And the rest of other Kenyan students who were selected and recomended for scholarships by KADU: five to Coppin State, seven to Bowie State, twelve to Howard (not Harvard) University, six to Albany State, four to Alcorn State, five to Fayetteville State, five to Delaware State College, three to Morehouse College, and six to Tuskegee Univerity.

Lest 'Dr. Tom Mboya, LI.D. (Hon.), M.L.C.' made so many people very angry, jealous, envious, fearful and hateful of Mboya the man, politician and an African (Kenyan).

I advised mwarang'ethe to cover himself with his blanket after he has farted so that he can suffocate from the smell, he dissapeared for a while but he is now back ( either he was hospitalized for blacking out from the his own toxic fart smell),seems that it didn't work. Vampires surely are immortal.

Well, our father gave me this book when I was in primary school. So, we were "FED" this book which our father believed in just as you and many others do, when very young, but, it does not tell the whole story as we came to realise later with more in depth research.

The point we are making is so simple. Tom Mboya was, and as many are still, working for the CIA.

Now, any fool knows this. CIA has no good intentions towards Africa and Africans.

More so, there was a case which went all the way to the USA Supreme Court whereby, some litigants wanted books which were written by the CIA during the cold war to BRAINWASH the world to be disclosed.

Very unfortunately, the Supreme Court, for reasons of so called "national security" refused to disclose THOUSANDS OF THESE FRAUDULENT BOOKS, although some of these are known now.

So, to what extent, can we be sure what we read in some of these books is not part of the cold war brainwashing?

In any case, what was Tom Mboya's achievements? Can you give us the list of Constitutional amendments he spearheaded between 1963 - 1969?

If you dare do this, the FATHER OF IMPUNITY and IMPERIAL PRESIDENCY in Kenya will be laid bare to all.

  38. What about Dr. Kiano and Kariuki Njiiri, should they be considered CIA 'operative' or 'informants' given their constant dealings with certain officials at the American Embassy in Nairobi?

BTW, were the CIA 'operatives' [in Kenya] reponsible for the deaths of Erinayo and Oboth Ofumbi?

The two had taken refuge in their cousin's house in Parklands [Nairobi], but were persuaded to return to their captors.
