"An Invisible Force Made Love To Me"

I have systems in place to monitor the readership of this blog and I can tell you that I am deeply honoured and humbled by the fact that the folks who read this site daily are generally very well educated Kenyans and much more smarter than I am. You can easily tell from many of the comments left behind.

But sometimes this kind of desirable profile comes with its' problems. For instance, it causes some people to believe that there has to be a scientific explanation to everything in this life.

But then those of us who have experienced life to the full and traveled widely know only too well that this life is full of twists and turns and things that cannot be explained scientifically or by logic.

Remember the Bermuda triangle where ships full of passengers and entire planes disappear into thin air without a trace? At times ships have re-appeared empty without any clues inside as to what would have happened to the occupants. Remember the popular "Stranger than fiction" syndicated worldwide column that appeared for many years in the Standard newspaper?

The list is endless and it is with this in mind that I present you with a problem that is facing quite a number of Kenyan women these days. They really have nobody to share it with and most folks will just laugh them out of the room. But here goes.

There is this close friend of the family, a divorced woman who for many years has had a very strange problem. Some invisible force would come to her at night and make love to her by force. The "thing" would even leave physical evidence sometimes like semen. This used to happen even when she was still married. At one time "the strong demon" (that's what she calls him) flung her husband off their bed with such force that he hit his head against the wall and remained on the floor dazed during the entire time that the rape went on.

No, my friend has no history of being in a mental institution.

And there is more. She once admitted sheepishly to my wife that a spirit is much better at making love than a human and she kind of enjoyed it sometimes, which made her feel even more guilty and caused such emotional upheaval in her that on several occasions, she seriously considered committing suicide and leaving behind her two lovely children.

The good news is that she found a solution and these days the "thing" has disappeared. I will only share what she did to find a solution in the comments section here and only if I can get at least two readers of this blog who know persons who have gone through the ordeal—even if it is themselves. What I have to say can only be useful to such people looking for a solution I have no intention of giving these details to other scientific types who have no use for it and will only laugh and ridicule this site.

This problem is not limited to men. Once when I was in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania a friend of ours (a man) had a sudden searing unbearable pain from his backside one night. He felt an invisible force penetrating him from behind, the way homosexuals do it. Later we were told that the house where he lived was built with funds obtained from the "spirit world" and that certain human sacrifices were made. What all this meant is that the house "ilukua na wenyewe," (had its' owners) as the Tanzanians put it in such eloquent Kiswahili.

P.S. Incidentally a woman in the United States suffered a similar ordeal and her story was made into a major Hollywood movie in the 80s—I forget the title of the movie, but it was a box office success.

  1. Forget formal education, somethings in life defy both logis and scientific explanation. Lack of these two basic facets of modern life doesn't stop bizare and underworld forces from acting.

Forget your religion and don't cheat yourself that such tales are for the unschooled lest you want to entertain the farce of scorning reality. The village in us never deserts us and when such episodes are told they are better reffered to those better placed to tackle them instead of sweeping them under the carpet. A closer look at what happens in schools at the Coast and in Ukambani will disabuse of the mordenity facade. Spirits exists and no amount of hand waving will exterminate them. Seek help from the right quarters, Bakari of Msa and co and invite peace into your life. Need I say more? I guess I let Chris spill the ripe beans for the benefit of realists so that pretenders can have a hearty lagh too. Over to you Chris, we are all ears and eyes for your insights.

  2. Hey Chris,

I recently discovered your blog, and i must say BIG KUDOS!!! you have seriously enlightened this young woman on all matters political in our country. KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB.

Now imagine my shock on this story! Anyway i am a born-again christian and obviously believe in the spiritual realm. The experience described by the lady are not uncommon.

Look up the word"incubus" in your dictionary, it is a spirit that forcefully has sex with women.I have had experiences where such a force, stronger than any i have ever felt, tried to overcome me, strangling me, and pursuing me with, sexually oriented dreams, holding onto me with strength and trying to cling to my very being. i have never been raped, by i know the feeling this woman describes and it is very real. They take over your senses, ans you are never sure if you are awake or in a dream, they leave you weakened and feeling battered,tired/fatigued

In the experiences themselves i was able to call on the Name of Christ and the blood of Jesus, and the force would no longer have power over me. i have a group of prayer partners who regularly pray over this, and in fact the last time i had such an attack, it was not an incubus, rather something more powerful that would press me onto my bed and take over my senses, as if trying to possess me. Pressing me on my back in a very real manner. You feel like cant wake up.

what i would advice this lady is to seek spiritual counsel from a pastor, seek christ and find an answer to her problem. If she is involved in any other sexual sin in her life, even masturbating, she has to confess this, as it could be what has given the demon/devil a hold over her sexually.

I know it sounds...a bit out there....but the spiritual realm is as much a part of our reality as the material.

Again thnks for creating a forum of truth for Kenyans.

    Peace out.

  3. i know of the movie the lady talks about, can't remember the name though and still there,s another one called "Black Snake Moan" based on some true story or so, whereby a lady is posessed by such a force that takes control of her sexually, until she meets a divorced bishop who has to tie her up on a car radiator for days, in an attempt to cure her of the possesion, he eventually does, anyway, my take on this is that,we just don't live in the physical realm, there are things that happen in the spiritual realm that even science has been at loss to explain, there can be no thought with out a thinker, every notion that has life was a product of some living force even science agrees there, and more so in a country where a large population are christians then we all ought to put our scientific mentalities aside and accept that evil is real and its alive, its only when it confronts us that we all over sudden realise how powerful and life shattering it can be. We all need God here, u can say i,m preaching, u call it what u want but thats the bottom line, no one is in control of their lives without God. What happened recently in the media cannot be simply wished away by some psychiatric explanation, no...we all have to reckon this, and i agree with the lady writer who advises spiritual councelling. ...we all need it and even our country needs it...
    ...hav a spiritual day......

  4. I am a born-again Christian and i can without a doubt testify to the existence of evil spirits, previously on numerous occassions i have been attacked at night in terms of being strangled, bed being lifted and tilted, both legs being pulled. Generally the Enemy (shetani and his cohorts) try and kill those called to a purpose by Jesus, however when they try to rape and the human responds and enjoys they are gradually being taken over by demons with the purpose of enjoining the person to hell.

There is no other name on heaven or earth that will save other than the Lord Jesus Christ. Confess your sins, turn to Him in repentance, obey Him and plead His Blood over your soul and body and you will have the strenght to resist the enemy whenever he comes to sleep with you.

The worst thing you can do is take spiritual things lightly.

  5. Guys ,

I am in Tanzania and they have an incubus thet attacks men. It goes by the not so romantic name of POPO BAWA( Literally BAT WING )This happens in the coastal areas but more commonly in the Islands of Zanzibar - Pemba and Unguja. What the inhabitants do to prevent attacks is rather simple - they sleep outside - never in beds. However the belief is that once you are attacked by the Popo bawa , then you have to tell your friends and family that you got raped . if not then the incubus will come back for repeat performances. So these things exist.
