I have made a decision to give out small token cash awards to those who win our ongoing comments competition. For this reason we will extend this contest to mid May so as to give as many people as possible a chance to participate and we will also announce the winners on May 14th.
I take this opportunity to invite any readers who would like to make donations towards these cash gifts to get in touch with me via the email address umissedthis at yahoo dot com. I want us to make this cash gifts as large as we possibly can. I will announce the amounts on 21st April 2007.
Please note that cash will only go to bouquet awards and not barb awards like the most abusive comment ever etc.
How To Leave A Comment In This Blog
It is actually very easy. Simply click the word "comments" at the bottom of the post/article that you would like to leave a comment under and follow the simple instructions by reading everything carefully.
It is advisable to write your comment elsewhere and save it (imagine writing a lengthy reply and then your PC freezes or there is a power outage?). You can then cut it and paste it in the provided box that will come up when you click on "post a comment" or "comments".
Towards the bottom make sure that you click on the anonymous box before you click on the "publish" to post your comment. But you can leave your name at the bottom of the comment so that another person does not claim your prize, incase you win something.
P.S. I appeal to all great supporters of this site to send in a token amount so that we can make this comments competition really big. You can donate small amounts of a few dollars via Paypal or if you are in Kenya you can use the new M-Pesa by Safaricom. Please indicate clearly that it is a donation and tell us if you want us to publish your name in a special post of thanks that I will publish shortly before we announce our winners.

Comment Nomination: The Most Misleadi g Comment Ever Dressed As Angry Truth
I nominate these comments for the barb award of the most misleading comment ever made in this blog clothed as the truth. Were they made by the same person? See my response.
Childish mutterings and playing to the gallary. Raila is accused of selfishness, which selfishness??? Is it a crime/selfishness to aspire to the highest office in the land? Does one not plan and connive to attain it, or do you imagine one is woken up in the morning and sent to live in the big house on the hill?
Read Machiaveli's The Prince and you will understand what I am talking about.
Kibaki has read it, but not too wisely and that is why he will lose, not because he is selfish. Man by nature is selfish, you must be selfish in order to live or else you could just as well forget about eating because every time you open your mouth to eat you destroy life.
The world is a man eat eat man society, if you teacher told you anything else, they LIED. Smell the coffee, dont just go about saying selfish, selfish, selfish... More fingers are pointed at you than you point.
We are all selfish for as long as we live...
Mandole has left a new comment on your post "The Two Anti-Kikuyu Constitutional Amendments":
Show me ANY legislation ANYWHERE in the world that is not selfish, and I will show you a country run by angels, for angels. The truth is legislation arises ALWAYS to raise a barrier and defend the defenceless (good legislation) against some rapacious wolves or prevent others from reaching the goodies (bad legislation).
Legislation therefore must ALWAYS be selfish from that point of view, there is therefore no neutral or "selfless" legislation. What crime is there if other Kenyans have decided to ask that more consensus be obtained in their governorship? What funny games are you playing here by telling us Matiba won? Kibaki won? Does it matter?
What matters is that Kenyans are demanding a greater degree of consensus in the way they elect their leader. In the sixties and seventies a tiny clique of Kikuyus ran the country and did not care about what anybody else said or did. "Kura yangu na ya mama Ngina inatosha" was not spoken in jest!!! When we legislate against this, all of a sudden it's anti-kikuyu!!!
What did you really expect? Should rapists also complain the law against rape is designed specifically against them and thus needs to be off the books??? I personally think your logic on this post is immature and way way below your standard. It may make me stop reading your posts and assume you're just another heckler trying to please your Kikuyu kin. A VERY selfish motive I must add.
