Jimnah Mbaru's Ridiculous Declaration

Talking of hypocrites I am still laughing as I write this after observing Jimnah Mbaru's body language as he recently stood before intelligent Kenyans and told them that if ODM Kenya remained intact and fielded one candidate in the forthcoming elections, it would cause uncertainty on the Nairobi stock exchange.

As the man was saying this his hands were fidgeting and his eyes were darting all over the place. What rubbish. No wonder there was loud laughter from the audience in reaction to his comment.

What Mr Mbaru was saying was that if Kibaki is not re-elected, it will cause uncertainty in the stock exchange.

Please note that I have included this post as a joke and not something for serious comment or analysis because Mr Mbaru's comments in this case do not deserve that.

Woman Murders Her Best Friend To Steal Her Husband As Science Proves That It Is Deadly For Women To Have Casual Sex

Nation sex scandal: What next for the major players?

Nation Sex Scandal: After The Muiruri Arrest, What Options For The Major Players?

This is one sex scandal that has refused to go away and it seems the disgruntled reporters at Nation center will not rest until editorial director Wangethi Mwangi, group managing editor Joseph Odindo and their play thing, Adhyambo Odera , Buzz editor leave the premises once and for all.

It has emerged that the Nation management is so desperate that they have instructed their security chief, one Mr Koskei to go around town bribing or threatening owners of back street publications like the Weekly Citizen not to carry stories on the scandal.

However, these moves have failed miserably as a new 'gutter' publication known as SPYMAN has come out boldly with extensive coverage on the slime that is said to have been going on in the Nation newsroom for several years now.

This blog has also been in the forefront of revealing the dirt at East Africa's top media house that is owned by the Aga Khan and was ironically started with 'holy' funds but has now been turned into a whore house.

What is most shocking is why does the trio hang on in spite of such damaging dossier about them. Mwangi, Odindo and Odera could be among the best-paid employees in the editorial department and resigning means they could lose lots of cash but again is the cash worth more than their reputations? For Mwangi and Odindo, tell me your marriages are not on the rocks if not on the brink of divorce.

Worse still, Imagine your teenage child reading about your sexual escapades in some newspaper or on the net. How do you explain it to him or her when you are confronted with the story?

For the human resource boss Helen Mbugua, tell me that her husband is among the happiest guys in town and does not feel a thing even when he hears the name of David Waweru, the Kenya broadcasting corporation boss.

Well, for the men involved and exposed in the sex scandal, the best thing you can do for your family and your country is to resign and rush to the church to repent. This might just save your marriages and life might go back to normal in spite of your being jobless for a while.

For the ladies, especially the married one's, doing the same thing is the only option but for the single one's like Odera , going for an AIDS test is a start and perhaps using her savings to undertake a parallel degree in a reputable university so that she won’t need to resort to desperate measures again to secure a job.

But the person who will have to shoulder full responsibility is the chief executive officer, Linus Gitahi who has handled the issue terribly ever since setting foot at Nation center and chances are that this scandal could end up doing him harm beyond his imagination.

I met Gitahi several years ago while he was a brand manager at a top pharmaceutical company and I got the impression that he is an intelligent and practical guy in touch with reality. Could I have been wrong?
