What causes Lucy Kibaki to slap full grown men without a second thought? Is Lucy’s a medical condition or is it just her character?
Even as the general elections draw nearer, this is the heated debate that has been going on between Kenyans from all walks of life and based in all parts of the world.
But unknown to many there is an amazing fictional account by Sam Okello that may shed a lot of light into the whole matter. Although the fictional account does not use real names, there is no mistaking who is being referred to here. Then it is also pretty clear that a lot of research went into the book, which makes it a very pleasurable as well as informative read.

I've read this book. It's one of the best political thrillers out of Kenya in years. It is evident that this author had insider information, because his potrayal of Lucy is right on. What will shock Kenyans is that Lucy slaps even Emilio(Kabuku)---Kibaki.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha!
ReplyDeleteNonsense. Okello, are u still communicating with your erstwhile friend Mariamu Brinner?
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention that you can also get - free of charge of course - the complete script of another book called 'The White Girl' ..... a love story between an American woman and a Luo ..... and the cover of this book shows a photo of my daughter .......

I said it...Milking publicity for the next book after a peace deal with Chris. War is the mother of invention...Somebody correct me!!!

Well rumor has it that Roosie is a mental case. Indeed , I believe she was admitted to the mental ward during Kibaki's time as a VP. So Sam Okello could be on to something!
ReplyDeleteSo this is the 'deal' you had to accept to avoid being 'disabled' by Sam Okello: making publicity for his books in Kumekucha .....
ReplyDeleteShame on you, Chris ....

Chris you are being e-slapped for no reason-please instate jokly that you are hystrical
ReplyDeleteSome "e-slaps" hurt more than most people will ever realize.
ReplyDelete-Kumekucha-
Okello, remember the PNU song...Ndomo Ndomo, funguua Ndomo!.
ReplyDeleteSo just get together with your friend Brinner and write another fake book on Riala Odianinga!.
MB it is a free world accept that simple fact. One more enemy is just one too many. You must know when to stop and call a ceasefire. Turn your foes into friends and age graceciously. Stop reading malice where no exists and not everybody is determined to undercut you. You are here by choice and please stop being a serial bully, won't you?
ReplyDeleteLadies and gentlemen,
ReplyDeleteChris is a heart who can absorb the e-slaps and all the vitriol directed at him. What that tells me is that he is a fair guy. Matter of fact, in working with him I've been plesantly surprised to meet a guy who is focused, determined and out to put out there the best product he can. That's how he's founded one of Kenya's leading and definitely the most authoritative blog.
Concerning Lucy, we've recently, here at Sahel Books, received even more harrowing accounts of her outragious behavior at the State House. There are those who say such acts don't matter. That we're electing Kibaki and not her. But let me ask this. When footage of a First Lady splashed around the world as she interupted a party at the World Bank Rep's farewell party...was it Kibaki we saw or her? When the reporters were slapped by her, was it Kibaki or her we saw? And when a senior civil servant was slapped recently, in full view of President Kibaki, was it Kibaki we saw or her? Now, what do you think Kibaki told her when they went back to the bedroom? That, sweetheart, go back on the campaign trail but be a good girl? Or am I right to think she told him "I'll go to the Coast whether you like it or not, Emirio?"
Once again I say, five years of a Lucy presidency is enough. We've been entertained. But we're no longer laughing. We now want to take Kenya in a different direction.
Sam, Okello, by we, you mean who? Are you possibly going to be one of the voters Thursday?
ReplyDeleteMy vote must be counted on Thursday, PKW. I must help turn the page in Kenya.
