There was a time when Prof Mutahi Ngunyi and Dennis Itumbi shared the same office. Indeed not too long ago; 2017 elections working together to preach Jubilee party propaganda and generously spread anti Raila venom.
Their "good" work culminated in the Supreme court overturning the election victory of UhuruRuto.
This information is vital for all those who may still want to view the professor as a genuine analyst of Kenyan politics.
Still, his latest anti-Kikuyu utterances (above) cross the line. What he is saying is that the House of Mumbi is the problem in Kenyan politics.
This is an old tired narrative that has been super effective in the past but NOT anymore because these days Kenyans are woke and very difficult to fool.
But the really telling thing that jumps out here is that this is very clear evidence that Ngunyi is working on Ruto's team (doing what he does to earn huge sums of money, since the Kibaki days).
And if you have any doubt about this, please consider the timing. Am certain that most have noticed the recently launched latest anti-Kikuyu war narrative in UDA. And especially remarks by UDA leadership (such as Secretary General Hassan Omar) which are clearly meant to portray the Kikuyu community's push for unity or demands for development as "tribalism"
It would seem that Ngunyi and Itumbi are once again working very closely together.
