Nairobi Water Services Have Been Taken Over By Drug Cartels, Says Kidero

In his most daring and controversial public statement ever Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero (pictured) has claimed that some un-named people connected to the illegal drug trade have taken over the provision of services that are the meant to be run by the county government.

The statement may have been spurred by the fact that the Nairobi governor is currently under intense pressure from his critics over corruption allegations linked to him. Among his harshest critics is Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, who has accused him of misappropriation of funds at the Nairobi County Government and also failing to fulfill his election pledges.
