Mombasa Tuskys Supermarket Robbery

BREAKING NEWS: One kid has died and several others seriously injured after a grenade detonated in a Sunday School in Pangani.

Now the cowards going by the name of terrorists have turned their evil grenades on kids. Shame on them!!!

=============================
Spate of Supermarket robberies that are never reported in the media
At least 7 heavily armed thugs broke into the Tuskys Digo Road Mombasa supermarket last night at about 9pm and made off with an unspecified amount of cash.

Sources within the giant supermarket chain have told a Kumekucha informant that the gangsters seemed to have a lot of inside information and even asked for the chief cashier, a Mr Waweru, by name. The timing of the robbery at 9pm shortly before closing time at 10pm at the end of the month and when workers of the supermarket had just been paid also points to the fact that the robbers must have gotten a lot of inside help and knew the best time to hit when they were bound to find the largest amount of cash available.

Conveniently the CCTV cameras at the supermarket were not working at the time of the raid because they had just been disconnected as workers expanded them into the next shop (formerly Little Chef Restaurant) which has recently been purchased by Tuskys in a bid to expand their floor space for the supermarket.

The robbers were so cool and confident that they took time to collect at least four heavy chests of coins and did not just take away the bank notes as is usually the case in most robberies these days.

But even more puzzling is how stories on robberies at the Supermarket are hardly ever reported. Barely a month ago the TMall Tuskys along Langata Road was robbed and gangsters got away with a staggering Kshs 24 million. Sources within the supermarket say that the directors of the retail chain usually go to great lengths to block any publicity on the robberies because they fear that it will scare away night shoppers a category of customers that is giving most supermarkets in Kenya colossal profits at the moment.

  2. Oh how wonderful, sorry meant unfortunate, it is to be informed that the CCTV cameras had convenietnly been switched off at the time or around the hour of the robbery by insiders who are usualy so conscious about the security of the customers, staff and expensive merchandise business prmise.

Is it the same business that has a zero tolerance policy when dealing shoplifters, even those caught lifting tiny samples of women's perfumes or deodorants worth couple of shillings?

Yet the same business seems to have a well organized friendly and welcoming policy when it comes to heavy duty shoplifters during night robberies that seem to always take place at around closing time?

Anyway, lest we forget, times have been hard in most parts of the country for years, so ther are unscruplous editors, scribes, radio station owners, and senior police officers who really do appreciate extra income in form of hush money from chain stores, restaurants, hotels, guest houses, rental property owners, travel agencies, tour operators, transport companies, food industries, the medical institutions, private schools, insurance companies, houses of ignominy etc.

It is the nature of the beast, it goes with territory, and there is very little that can be done when people's silence is regularly bought for a good sum of quaterly or yearly fee.

Crime does not pay, but money speaks louder when it is offered in the right amounts, to the right people and the at the right times.

  3. Chris,

What of yours has Tuskys eaten that you are now talking like that about them in the open broad daylight?

By the way, did Tuskys fail to fully compensate you as promised in one way or another?

Or has the flow of hush money from Tuskys' extra-curricular activities account wilted down to peanuts or worse, a pinch of simsim (sesame) in the last couple of months?

If that is case, then blame is on you for not having negotiated a better deal similar to the type awarded to Tusky's other silent clients with mighty quail feathered pens for hire.

  4. Sadly, whenever these big robberies occur, the police are conveniently never anywhere near the crime scene. And when they come running, conveniently when the robbers have fled, the first question they ask is not whether anyone was hurt but:.... "HOW MUCH DID THEY STEAL?"

  5. Excuse the digression that is fraught with misplaced niggling and constant criticism of our very wonderful government, hardworking politicians, civil servants, citizens and generous business community at large.

As the good times roll by, it always easy to forget the fact that the mishap that occured at Tuskys is just the tip of the ice berg, and there is more to the incident than meets the curious public eye.

    In the meantime, how often are we always constantly reminded of how;
... - things have changed a great deal in the country,
    - the political climate has been transformed in the last ten years,
    - the freedom of speech, movement and assembly is guanranteed,

    - the government can now be held responsible by ordinary citizens for its any wrong doing, incompetence, negligence or dereliction of duty,

    - the cabinet ministers, MPigs, senior civil servants, senior military and police officers, diplomats, et al, including their spouses can be held accountable for their actions, or liable for any wrong doing,

    - or even sued in the court of law by ordinary Kenyans (people) who may have a valid grievance,
    - and any citizen of Kenya has the right to access any non classified information through freedom of information ..." et cetera
    .

Yet journalists, media houses, law enforcement officers, and ordinary citizens know too well that they are bound to be subjected to threats, intimidation, humiliation, roughed up, or at times beaten up for daring to report, release information or publish any news worthy episodes that may have occured involving certain institutions, entities, well connected persons and individuals in powerful positions of influence within the country.

As for those people who can not be bought for a given market price, they always end up getting silenced in one way or another by the agents of the concerned parties, certain public institutions, or worse by their employers.

Sadly, that is one of the reasons why drunk driving arrests are never enforced by the vigilant traffic police officers when 'the privileged few' are involved in deadly accidents in Nairobi, Mombasa and or elsewhere at 2:00 AM or 3:00 AM.

Further, any information about alcohol related accidents, deaths, fights, disturbance of the peace, malicious wounding and intent, domestic abuse incidences, rape, land grabbing, theft of public property involving the rich and so-called influencial eprsonalities is never reported or made puclic.

Including fraudulent practices by lawyers, insurance agents, travel agents, doctors, religious institutions, clergy, hotels, public transport companies, business people, schools, colleges, universities, restaurants, meat, dairy and poultry dealers, and many other institutions around the country.

Unfortunately, any qualified professional reporter, writer or agent who dare get involved in investigative journalism gets harassed, targetted or persecuted relentlessly to the point of getting kicked out of town, their place of work or even from the region where the crime may have occured or continues to take place.

Such is the company that the likes of Tuskys may be keeping in the dire hopes of sustaining their bottom line by all means necessary.

  6. The LSK needs to reform itself or be forced to reformed ASAP.

The place has been inhabited by a lot of dysfunctional characters who are so busy involved in-house fighting, while others like you know are also busy joking for the CJ's and DCJ's positions with the hopes that they fall vacate soon against all the odds.

The same dysfunctional characters within the LSK are still involved in the old time political witch-hunting asigments, including search and destory missions that were the order of the day during throughout the 1980s under the former despotic rule.

They have forgotten the fact that the times have changed since the 1980s and 90s, and it would be better for the country as well as many of them to quit being active members of the LSK and find the real courage to join Kalonzo Musyoka, Mutula Kilonzo and other former brave LSK members in the real world of politics, instead of cowering behind the old political closets within LSK, while fully engaged in backstabbing of their colleagues as well as malicious attacks on their perceived enemies within the judiciary.

The LSK needs to undergo a major fundamental reforms in the same manner the citizenry hopes that the rotten police force will be reformed sooner or later, later meaning, by the end of August 2013.

Politics has TWO BRANCHES. These are:

    (a) Political economy, and

    (b) theories of government and forms of administration.

As such, Kalonzo's, Mutula's etc, the judiciary and the LSK members are both dealing with (b). We add, with a LOT OF IGNORANCE and STUPIDITY.

We can say more, but, who will listen?

So, your "arguments" are fed by ignorance and BULLSHIT!

    xxx

    Anyway, we just inquire:

    - how is the JUDICIAL CLEANSING going on?

    - Is it going as we were told by the PRIESTS and their sycophants?

    - is INJUSTICE, pardon, JUSTICE flowing like the mighty stream?

Anyway, by 2015, the STUPIDITY and IGNORANCE of the PRIESTS who call themselves LAWYERS, will have dawned on HEAVILY TAXED Kenyans.

  9. The African teacher seems to have some good command of the Queen's vernacular as far as one can judge, apparently he is very fond of utilizing it as his primary vehicle of communication.

The only downside to his exemplary language (Queen's vernacular) skills and profound capacity to gain accurate and deep intuitive understanding of the current political, economic, social and academic issues of the day, is normally the selective usage of his favourite exquisite assortment of singnature expletives.

Such 'ignorance, delusion, childish ('child's dish'), fantacy, stu_p_d_ty ('centipede'), bull_h_t, et cetera.

How about if the African teacher had a change of heart and applied some other alternative expletives that are less coarse in his generous attempts of trying to educate anew, correct or at times draw the immediate attention of those of us who are usually engaged in discursive discussion at Kumekucha?

For starters, the use of 'bollocks' instead of bull_h_t among others, would suffice in honour of the Queen's vernacular as opposed to the American vernacular or Australian vernacular.

    No, no, no no.

We call a spade a spade. Simple and clear.

    Sample this:

"Central Bank governor [THE SOLE TYRANT OF KENYA] warns of a looming public debt crisis."

"Heavy government borrowing has pushed the national debt to a critical level where it risks upsetting macro-economic stability and slow down growth, Central Bank of Kenya governor Njuguna Ndung’u has warned.

Accelerated (government) borrowing from the central bank is inflationary as it is equated to printing of money and, therefore, leads to macroeconomic instability through inflationary pressures,” he wrote.

Kenya’s public debt stood at Sh1.63 trillion or 49.3 per cent of the GDP in June up from Sh1.49 trillion in January."

    Source: http://is.gd/CiZKwC

NB: Much of what he says here ARE DAMN LIES or he is a HYPOCRITE!

Now, "listen" to this TYRANT again:

"Sovereign bond money to pay off international debt."

"The Treasury plans to borrow money through a sovereign bond to settle all or part of the Sh52 billion ($600 million) syndicated loan sourced from international banks, Finance minister Njeru Githae has said.

In a letter of intent sent to the IMF in March, the Finance minister and CENTRAL BANK OF KENYA Bank of(CBK) governor, Njuguna Ndung’u, [THE SOLE TYRANT OF KENYA] had indicated the government intends to issue a sovereign bond of up to Sh66 billion ($800 million) in the next fiscal year."

    Source: http://is.gd/wqbTyq

    The questions are:

    (a) why is he speaking from both sides of his mouth?

    (b) why is this TYRANT telling us about debt bomb when the teachers get a few coins?, while

    (b) he is the one signing debts for ROBBING the same TEACHERS?

NB: He will mouth big words like infrastructure, but, that is ANOTHER of the LIES he tells you while YOU PAY HIM!

And, we may inquire, what will this TYRANT do when BOND VIGILANTE come?

Will he not commit WANJIKU to more debts?

We can ASSURE you 101%, he SHALL DO IT WITHOUT BLINKING.

With all honesty, what language can one use to describe these types of human beings? Human beings, if at all they are, who are bereft of human sympathy for the long suffering mankind?

Anyway, we have some music to enjoy:

Woe unto you VIPERS who CAPITALIZE the BLOOD of the UNBORN using high sounding names like SOVEREIGN BONDS:

  14. What is the term for a country that depends heavily on the influx of foreign capital?

Well, there are some people who have continued to run the country as if it is their own personal property or estate.

A person like Njeru Githae is not as 'white' or mweupe kama theluji as he thinks or is named after all.

On one hand, Githae has a lot to hide from the public and a lot more to explain to future generations of Kenyans who are going to grow up shackled and bonded to servicing several billion dollar loans borrowed from heartless foreign masters, ruthless financial manipulators and economic hitmen whose forte is demanding huge interest payments in return, while the country gets used, abused and wasted in every which way for the next three decades.

On the other hand, the servicing of large and unwiedly loans is going to be Njuguna Ndung'u's least of worries once his term as CBK's governor comes to an end as was the case with some of his predecessors.

The future will tell whether Ndung'u is currently busy buying time while his eyes, mind and heart are fixated on personal plans already in the making with the ardent desire to contest the general election as senator, county governor, or member of parliament in his home region by 2017.

  16. Yea, yea, yea, the experts and few wise members of the older generations have always warned and reminded the citizens about how the young people's feelings of violence show how split-off they are from the power of their knowledge.

Blinded by a cloud of innocence
(and ignorance on numerous occasions), they seem not to know their friends or themselves or the complexity of relationships, let alone political agendas and pressing social issues of the day.

They always plead for simple attention, care and instant gratification. When they don't get these things, they feel controlled and toyed with. Then, in place of a more genuine power, violent rage pours out of them.

So, to what degree are the younger generations of Kenyans willing and ready to sacrifice in non confrontational and violent ways in order to help initiate and consequently ignite radical change and transformation within their respective isntitutions, wards, constituencies, counties, regions and country in general?

Or will they give the career politicians and political tribal (war)lords another chance to control, waste and toy with their lives as well as the future of their country as they have done at will since December 2002 to date?

Will conscientization become a common commodity among the younger generations, or will they allow the balkanization of Kenya to continue flourishing as it has done in the last thirty-three years?

The question is, what does a 30 year old lawyer in Kenya know that is different from a 60 - 70 lawyer?

To the extent that they are all products of the IVY LEAGUE of FOOLS, expect no change. They are all HIGH CLASS SERVANTS. As such, to expect change from the same stuff is INSANITY.

And, talking of change, is this what you call change?

"Housing Finance to borrow Sh1.7bn from foreign banks."

"Housing Finance will be turning to external financiers for a Sh1.7 billion loan to fund home buyers.

The mortgage financier is in discussions with international lenders to borrow the money, which it will use to fund residential housing for middle and lower income earners."

We will not say much. We only observer that, the BALTIC NATIONS did this after the collapse of the USSR. What was the end result? A TOTAL ECONOMIC DISASTER.

We seek not to say more, but, we must wonder. Why are DAMN STUPID CHILDISH, FOOLISH KENYANS borrowing FOREIGN CURRENCY to build TOILETS?

Oh, we know why. A certain guy called MUSALIA MUDAVADI presided this fiasco in the 1990's and HE IS VERY PROUD OF HIS ACHIEVEMENTS.

NB: We suspect that, even this guy has no clue!

Even more interesting, the LADY INTERVIEWING this CLUELESS man, being another product of the same IVY LEAGUE of FOOL, HAS NO CLUE ABOUT ANYTHING.

  19. Curiousity has never caused the death of a feline that still has six or four more lives to live on the egde.

As a matter of fact, Luka won't like any intrusion on his post intended for the rightful recipients, but curiosity has just led one wondering feline to obtrude on it for all the wrong reasons.

Lest we forget, that in the same way, less money, tonnage of problems for those of us who have cultivated a self-destructive habit of living beyond our prescribed means with the vain or at times desperate hope of making an impression on the unimpressed and at times unconcerned public that is known to have a very short memory.

As for PUNDOMERS, they are obliged to wear a timeless pairing of dress code rich with colour, warmth and texture.

    To those it may concern, the following pairing meets the dress code requirements for all PUNDOMERS;

    a) Natural Heather (jacket or turtleneck) with Charcoal Gray Heather (skirt or kilt) plaid.

    b) Deepest Brown Heather (jacket or turtleneck) with Deepest Brown (skirt or kilt) plaid.

    d) Dark Russet Heather (jacket and turtleneck) with Sable (skirt or kilt) plaid.

    e) Cedar Green Heather (jacket or turtleneck) with Eggplant (skirt or kilt) plaid.

Luka, shauri yako, don't complain of humdrum galore because you are the one who asked for the dress code in the first place.
