Should Raila Retire With Kibaki?

By anon
What is worse for Kenya is that the closer we get to choosing the right democratic government for all people from all corners of the country, the greater seems the temptation to derail this once in a lifetime golden opportunity and instead end up clinging onto our tribal political enclaves and conniving tribal chieftains.
Kenyans are caught between Kibaki, his henchmen and loyal tribal foot soldiers on one side, and Odinga, his henchmen and loyal tribal foot soldiers on the other side.

The reality is that it does matter whether Kibaki retires in 2012 with his entire contingent of Kikuyu elite, the country will still remain stuck in the same old rut unless Odinga and his entire legions of Luo elite are sent packing or into retirement at the same time.

Both sides have been fighting each other and the rest of country for their right to eat (and loot) as much as they can while time is still on their respective sides.

So why would any group of patriotic Kenyans waste their scarce resources, energy and time fighting to save the soul of a once beautiful country from what has been referred to on numerous occasions as 'the jaws of murderous lot' only to end up falling victims to the deadly antics of a new sheriff in town with his bunch of trigger happy hooligans in uniform as well as henchmen assigned to 'most government facilities and institutions'?
Kenyans from all walks of life should unite for a change and kick all the 'political eaters' out of office and positions of influence once and for all.

Or else we will have no one political party or 'enemy tribe(s)' to blame but ourselves in the next ten years. (yes, NOT 5 years).

Shocking!!! Shocking!!!

In my latest raw notes published a few minutes ago I reveal William Ruto's main financier in his bid for the presidency. What is even more shocking is his real motive for backing Ruto.

Also in the same raw notes is the most shocking video you will ever view in this life. Even Chris Kumekucha threw up while viewing it. Want to know the contents...

This is the season for witchdoctors. Politicians are consulting them in earnest as we approach the general elections. But there are many of us well educated Kenyans who do not believe that witchcraft exists.

In the sickening video that affected Chris Kumekucha so much, you will see the so called powers of darkness at work where an adulterous wife was “locked” with her lover and the two were completely unable to separate until the irate husband showed up and started charging eager wananchi cash to get inside the room and see “everything” even as his wife sobbed uncontrollably.

He then demanded Kshs 20,000 from the sweating young man to “break the spell.” The adulterous man who appeared to be in pain was completely unable to disengage himself from the naked woman under him even with some help from the policemen in the room. He was only too eager to pay and as the policemen inside the room were busy searching for his ATM to withdraw the money, a simple man came into the room and started praying. What happened next is bizarre beyond explanation.

Watch it all for yourself in my latest raw notes. You can order my raw notes now and receive them in minutes (it does not matter what time zone you are in) by sending an email to umissedthis at gmail dot com
When you order you will also get all HOT back issues of my raw notes that you have missed.

  2. Bilisi wa mtu ni mtu. We are our own worst enemies because no single ethnicity has the right to dominate the other forty ethnicities of Kenya.

And some of Kenya's large ethnicities should never have the hubris or even right to reserve every inch or foot of socio-political environment in Kenya for their own exclusive use.

If that is what tribal politicians and their leaders want for their people and regions, then why not own the air, the seasonal rains, the great rivers, as well as the skies above Kenya for their own exclusive use?

Didn't the Great Creator of the universe make them all for the use of all earth's children?

So why prevent or exclude other Kenyans from partaking in their democratic rights and equal representation in all spheres of Kenyan life?

Our ancestors have always reminded us that we sit in the lab of our Motherland (Kenya). From her we, and all other living things around us, come. We shall soon pass-on or crossover to the other side, but the place we have come to know as Kenya and where we now live in whatever circumstances we find ourselves in, will last forever.

We, too, must learn to sit at the national round table with the rest of Kenya's forty-one ethnicities and become conscious of life about us in its multitude of forms.

Hence, one of the reasons we have to keep making real great strides in improving our country's socio-political environment, and I think that it will soon be realised around the nation when all people are able to benefit from the tangibles that come with change regardless of their ethnic backgrounds and political affiliations.

Why don't we make Kenya a better place than we found it, and then leave it in a greater shape when the time is ready for us to cross-over, go-across or pass-on?

In so many words (unnecessary), you seek to convince that, when Raila goes, the Kenyan problems shall be solved. Welcome to the world of ILLUSIONS, DELUSIONS and CHILDISH FANTASIES.

There are two ways of seeing human issues/conditions. Through the lenses:

    (a) of cause and effect (the SCIENTIFIC APPROACH), or

    (b) of intentions and guilt (PERSONALIZED APPROACH)

The best example of intentions and guilt (PERSONAL thinking) is the Imperial China.

In Imperial China, every failure in the administration or the war front cost the life of the "GUILTY" officer or general.

Since the Chinese were unable to think SCIENTIFICALLY how to remove such a system, they endured it for CENTURIES. So, SHALL KENYANS!

  4. Kenya has had its ups and downs in the last forty nine years, however it still remains a nation in the making, a work in progress.

Amidst continued strong opposition from some of our neighbouring residents and their persistent attempts to trivialize any views that don't suit their entrenched political mind set, dreams and aspirations, let it be reiterated that Kibaki and Odinga have not been the solution to the country's political dysfunction, economic stagnantion, social disorder and ethnic discord that have lead to myriad of problems in the last ten years.

As a matter of fact, Kibaki's exit and Odinga's expected retirement after the 2013 polls will not be the magic bullet to all of Kenya's problems, but it will be one of the many steps in the right direction taken by the majority of Kenyans if they decide to put their nation first, above and beyond their ethnic political enclaves, ethnic chieftains and tribal warlords (that seem to surface during every general election).

If we want real change or something we've never had as a nation, then we will have to do something we've never done in the last forty something years in order to begin dealing with impunity related issues through out the country.

But if we keep doing what we've been doing or done since December 12, 1963, we'll keep getting the same old results, pains and bewilderment.

The people's actions speak louder with regard to whether they decide to remain stagnant, swim or sink as a nation in the next ten years - 2013-2022.

  5. @Chris,

As pointed out in your raw notes, the bountful season for inyanga, witchdoctors, herbalists (Dr. Miti Shamba), shamans, traditional healers, diviners, election prophets, medicine men, isangomas, et al, has just begin as many politicians flock to secret hideouts to consult with their favourite specialists who claim to be experts in the art of wading off spells or casting spells at intended targets.

Several million of shillings will have exchanged hands by the time the political campaigns come to an end and the general election is completed, and theere are some lucky recipients will have gained a three years worth of income for their high valued services rendered to some of our legislators.

Although I may not be among the well educated Kenyans given my 'senior 2' or what's better known as form two drop status, but there is one thing that I have known for sure, which is, witchcraft as an art to be sold
to gullible clients exists, as opposed to real witchcraft or black magic of the diabolical kind which does not exist at all.

Otherwise if witchcraft was real, then most of the purveyors of the art would be among some of the world renown wealth billionaires who have made their fortune by conjuring it in a matter of split seconds.

And many parts of Africa would be rivaling by far the development and progress that exists in the UAE and other wealthy European nations.

IMHO, witch doctors deserves to earn their keep and there is nothing wrong about it as long as politicians are the only ones busy emptying their wallets and ATMs.

Let the fool's paradise continue to propers and benefit those who have engineered the ways to establish and sustain the black magic industry.

As usual, you avoid the REAL ISSUE.

The question is, what is the REAL CAUSE of this mess?

And, what is the REAL SOLUTION?

NB: Please, do not tell us about Kenyatta, Moi, Kibaki and Raila and such rubbish.

And, do not tell us that, OPIUM SESSIONS as the solution, for they are not. Remember, insanity is doing the same thing (92, 97, 2002, 2007, 2012) while expecting different results.

As usual without seeming to indulge in what has been alluded to as the avoidance of real issues as indicated by one concerned individual, there are those of us who would like to provide the general public with specialized analysis of the regional and national issues, and from time to time deliver provocative editorials on past events as well as current events that have been the main cause(s) of the prevailing sad state of affairs in Kenya.

Unfortunately, any attempts to engage in deductive reasoning as one of the avenues to explain why the country and its hardworking people are still being drawned and consumed by the current political dysfunctionalism that predates 2002, (recall the famous general election slogan Everything Is Possible With Moi), is tantamount to herculean task.

Needless to say, someone in our midst seems to know better than the rest of us, more so, Kenyans shall become more tribal and not less. So, [they] should learn to live with it [political dysfunctionalism] and stop the delusions of ending it.

First we acknowledge that Raila has been detained, imprisoned, and all. But let us agree where to put the blame- Moi and Kanu- The same Kanu he later joined so he can gain power which is his ambition and there is nothing wrong with that.

What I havent seen in these columns or any other newspaper piece is for somebody to have a little straight talk with Raila - reminding him- We appreciate your gallant fighting spirit. However that is not the only qualification of being a President.

Raila should extinguish his flames of "entitlement" "Kenyans do not owe you the Presidency" Bring forth a program- tell us your strengths- vision- why you want power.

Erase from our minds the impression that you are ready to do anything for power yet- you havent eloquently said what you want to do with it.

How are you different from the previous visionless politicians we have had as Presidents? Have you shed your " I gotta have red carpet sydrome?"

  11. Odinga, Jr. never measured up in the eyes of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Osagyefo ("redeemer"), nor did he manage to earn the old man's confidence, anointment or edorsement when it counted most.

The only event that somehow created extra interaction between father and son was when the old man was concerned like father would about a son's welfare while in detention.

Further, being keenly aware of the fact that he never was his father's favourite child, Odinga, Jr. set out to prove himself to his old man, uncles, siblings, relatives, clan and rest of the region.

He has spent decades trying to literally crawl from under his old man's larger than life shadow with the hopes of becoming his own self-made man.

A personal mission that has blinded and comprised him in many ways than he had ever bargained for in the first place.

Consequently there is no turning back for Odinga, Jr. until he accomplishes his long term mission and vision of becoming Kenya's president.

Firstly, being tribal does not amount to political "dysfunctionalism."

There are good reasons why "tribes," "clans", "races", "religious" groups etc and such things exist.

Simply, these groups are the means by which humans pass their CULTURE to the future generations. As an example, what a Kikuyu eats, is as a result of his tribal education.

When you see a Lumbwa with his MURSIK, then, know that, without his tribal education, he will not be doing that.

The point is this. Kenyans/Africans, by refusing to acknowledge the artificiality and the PURPOSE of the Kenyan/African nations, have, and SHALL become victims of their own delusions.

Given these delusions, all the outside forces have to do is arm one or a few of the tribes that feel marginalized by the TRIBE IN POWER, and you descend into murderous civil wars or economic mess.

NB: Watch the Coast. First, they will drive tourists away. With no £ and $, Kenya shall be forced to borrow from its enemies. And, the money you shall borrow, shall not be used to produce any wealth, but, to get arms/more police/NSIS (PARASITES) at the Coast while the same enemies shall be financing the other side.

Thus, you must realize that, any societal arrangements which require force/VIOLENCE (NSIS) to maintain, is unnatural and badly constructed.

And, more so, such arrangements must have become about because of EXTREME VIOLENCE. Logically, more and more violence must be used to maintain such constructs.

NB: Ask yourself, how come, there is no VIOLENCE, PROPAGANDA (thru media and education) is required to make one a Luo or a Kikuyu?

The question must then be, why was so much GENOCIDAL VIOLENCE required to create Kenya?

And, you must also, inquire, does the change of SKIN COLOR of the governor change the ESSENCE of why Kenyan tribes were subjected to such GENOCIDAL VIOLENCE?

These are questions Kenyans have never bothered to ask and as a result, they descend into that comfortable world of: ILLUSIONS, DELUSIONS and CHILDISH FANTASIES.

As to whether GENOCIDAL VIOLENCE used in creation of Kenya was and can be of any good, we leave thee to decide as you listen to "news" of that GENOCIDAL VIOLENCE which was used to reduce Kenyan tribes into SUBMISSION to the WILL/ROBBERY of ONE MAN:

  13. More so, there appeared a story in the Standard on the removal of Laibons and their extermination that every Kenyan ought to reflect upon:

"Scared of a major uprising and aware of the influence a tiny community had over the residents of Kericho and Nandi, the colonial government in 1934 crafted a law to confine about 700 members of the Talai clan in an open-air jail."

There are MANY lessons for the WISE in that story, but, we seek to zero on on this sentence:

"This tallies with a letter written 13 years after the Talai were moved to Gwassi when he unapologetically proposed that all the elderly clan members be left to die in Nyanza so that a new generation, who are obedient to the government would be nurtured."

NB: "A NEW GENERATION, WHO ARE OBEDIENT (SHEEPLE) TO THE GOVERNMENT WOULD BE NURTURED."

    There we are!

The Colonial and so called independence governments have CONSPIRED to NURTURE VERY OBEDIENT SHEEPLE as opposed to the WISE Kenyan TRIBAL LEADERS who knew the MEANING and PURPOSES of TRIBES.

As such, to disguise why the STATE MACHINERY hates tribes, they hide under the cover of UNITY.

    Unity for what purpose?

    And,

"She also introduced a floating exchange rate regime and lifted controls on currency trading."

    And

"She has also said she wants Malawi to overturn its ban on homosexual acts."

  18. The post under the banner 'Should Raila Retire With Kibaki?' seems to have morphed into a life of its own leaving many Kumekuchans still wanting to find out more about Odinga (Jr.) in terms of his 'Ambition, Intrigue and Thirst for Power (History Behind Closed Doors of the Odinga Family).

As for the old story of the exiled Talai, it is common knowlegde to many Kenyans who have lived with the first IDPs ('Talai Exiles') for decades.

That' is why some of us were not surprised that the high-priest of "illusions, delusions and childish" had no clue of who the Talai were until "there appeared a story in the Standard" and maybe took the time to watch a narrative clip on YouTube.

We all know that if we don't care or make the effort to know our respective histories as well as the history of our nation, then it can't and will never affect our view of Kenya and the rest of the world.

For those in our midst who didn't know much about the forceful removal of the Talai of Kenya (not the Talai of India) and their consequent lifetime exile, please note that the Talai clan was not just exiled to Gwasi, but also to far away places like Meru (yes, Meru), Songhor, Lodwar, Lokitaung, Lamu, Musambwani, Manyani, Maralal, South Horr, etc.

Several generations of the Talai can still be found living among their fellow Kenyans within the afore mentioned regions.

As noted, it was only the Talai who were exiled to Gwasi and Songhor that were able to maintain and have strong contacts with their former homeland due to their geographic proximity.

This is a very tiny slice of information about some of the first IDPs, the Talai, on Kenyan soil. Now you know, if you didn't know about it.
