Prediction: The future of Uhuru Kenyatta and the KKK alliance

Chris Kumekucha is BACK!!!

It is now going to 3 months since I lost my dad and clearly it seems that it will forever be an uphill task for me to get over his death, more so because of the circumstances surrounding his sudden death (a tale for another day). But today I have a story to tell that involves him that helps point clearly to the future of the so-called KKK alliance and Uhuru Kenyatta which I want to tell today.

I know most of my dear readers hate “kumekucha’s history lessons” but please bear with me because the story is fascinating.

At the time this happened my late dad was the top cop in Western province. He happened to be in Nairobi and walked into what was in those days the Nairobi area senior police officer’s mess. It is situated within Nairobi area police headquarters. He found another senior police officer who also happens to be from the Kamba tribe (name with-held). As they started their conversation he noticed at the corner of the bar one Ben Gethi (pictured on this page). Every policeman knew of the man’s antics and he was greatly feared because he had president Kenyatta’s ear and was behind some very cruel things done to people who for some reason were “not loyal” to the Kenyatta administration. For instance the standard “signature” for assassinations by Kenyatta’s inner circle was to cut off the private parts of their victim and stuff them inside his mouth. It is widely believed that this was done when they were still alive.

So this other top cop started telling off my dad in their mother tongue. He was angry at his stubbornness in refusing to take the oath of loyalty to the Kenyatta government. A quick background is necessary here for clarity. What had happened was that after the assassination of Tom Mboya in 1969 and JM Kariuki in 1975, Kenyatta’s inner circle, led by the dreaded Kiambu mafia started having weekend sessions of oath-taking. It is said that this primitive sessions required a person to strip completely naked amongst other detestable things involved in this kind of dreary business. This was the oath my dads’ colleague had taken and felt that my dad should have also taken. It was said in those days that promotion would be impossible for those who had not taken the oath. At some point the same Kiambu mafia went as far as taking an oath that the presidency would never cross River Chania. This is the river that marks the border between Kiambu Kikuyus and Nyeri Kikuyus. JM Kariuki was originally from Nyeri. Just imagine the cockiness behind this thinking (they were already sure that the presidency would never leave the Kikuyu community and were now concerned that it would never leave Kiambu Kikuyuland, where President Kenyatta hailed from).

My dad noticed that Gethi appeared to be leaning towards their direction as if trying to catch what they were talking about (Ben Gethi was a Kikuyu but many Kikuyus can easily understand Kamba because the two dialects have many similarities). According to my dad he felt that his life was in real danger and chances were that he would be followed the minute he left the officer’s mess. It had happened many times before to others with tragic consequences. He decided that he was not going to be such an easy target. And so he ordered a beer and carefully poured out most of it into his glass as he if he was going to stick around for a long time. And then after a few minutes he casually walked towards the gents. He quickly found a way out of the place and drove away ensuring that he was not being followed. He survived somehow despite his very principled approach at a very difficult time. The people who talk that oath for promotion had terrible ends to their lives, including Ben Gethi himself.

I want to draw your attention to the oath that was taken to block the presidency from crossing the River Chania. Well, president Kibaki hails from Nyeri which is on the other side of the Chania. Some of my readers may not take this very seriously but an oath is a terrible thing. It is instructive that Kibaki’s presidency has been very shaky right from the start and now it looks like he will end up on trial at the Hague for being the main cause behind the crimes against humanity that happened in Kenya in January 2008 (that is why he is so keen to defend the Ocampo six and is still fighting a losing battle to have the case brought back home where he can control things.) But even more interesting is the fact that there is now an alliance between the Nyeri man (Kibaki) and the son of the man under whose presidency an oath was taken to ensure that the presidency would never reach his kind. Spiritual experts say that the alliance of convenience between Kibaki and Uhuru cannot last (because of the oath). They also insist that the sins of the father (President Kenyatta) are sure to follow his son (Uhuru Kenyatta). The blood spilled during the Kenyatta presidency is still crying out to God from the ground (let alone the one innocent blood shed in 2008) which makes the numerous prayers the man seems to thrive in dodgy at best. This may sound like mumbo jumbo and stuff for the superstitious but why don’t we wait and see what happens, shall we?

Ben Gethi was more powerful than most people imagined

More on the dreaded Ben Gethi

  3. KIKUYU OATH 1969/2011

No uncircumcised leaders will be allowed to compete with the Kikuyu. You shall not vote for any party not led by the Kikuyu. If you reveal this oath, may this oath kill you.

    MTADO?

  4. its very interesting that people who never took the oath can speak quite authoritatively of what they do not know.
I hate to remind you that the flag crossed the chania river in 1978 after the death of mzee, how come the curse did not affect moi but found its way around some 25 yrs to strike at kibaki and now at uhuru? Come on chris, this is pure mambo jumbo!!

  5. I beg to differ with you Chris, you have no idea what you are talking about. This alliance may actually go far than you think. The PEV so long practiced in Kenya since 1961 is coming to an end, not because of Ocampo, but because of the alliance. Let us wait and see, shall we?

As concerns your late father, my condolences are with you my friend. However, his story here is irrelevant.

  7. Talking about the fly whisk or the flag crossing Chania? I my memory services me right, my grandmother once told us that the original fly whisk were buried somewhere near those indigenous tree on a farm located on the opposite side of the Chania Falls, on the very day Mzee Jomo Kenyatta's remains were placed in the mausoleum.

As for the Chania curse, it did not affect Mzee Daniel arap Moi because he never fought nor worked against the colonial collaborators, and he was too easy on many former elements of the anti-colonial nationalist movement.

If you really knew what you talking about, then you already know or will recall that the oath was taken facing [...?]

And the initiates had to make sure that backs were postioned in a certain direction so that their current enemies and all potential enemies would [...?]

Fill in the blanks since you are an authority on the different oaths that were taken on both sides of the Chania.

Btw, one doesn't have to suffer from malaria in order to speak authoritatively about how malaria ravages the spleen or damages the celebral cortex if left untreated.

Back to the future of Uhuru Kenya and the ongoing generational rivalry between KKK alliance and the stalwarts of oldtime GEMA.

  8. Chris, that was an intro, where is the meat of the whole prediction as in Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, and Phase IIII?

Ben Gethi may have been a very powerful senior law enforcement officer at one time in history, but were you aware he was punched out cold when he got involved in a fist fight with the commandant of of railays and port police?

The new year's brawl was witnessed by Kinoti, Muhindi, Musau, Ngure, Belsoi, Ochieng, Muoka, Kithome, Muasya, Nalianya, and other seniors police officers at Mbaraki sports club during a police function of some sort.

Hinga came to his rescue but it was his opponent who beared the brunt of the adminstrative punishment by being exiled for a while to Shifta territory in Garissa.

Those were the days when commandants took their duties very seriously and never allowed outside senior officers to interfere or interface with their respective regions and personnel.

Gethi was trying to protect a well known quasi-partner in the Kenatco's hauling business at the time. He was a godfather to well connected and a "dreaded crawbar" to those who crossed his path at the time.

History as narrated by one of the original eyewitnesses who is now in his 80s.

  9. Prediction: Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga and Musyoka Kalonzo are all the same, wolves in sheep's clothing and anyone of them would be as nightmarishly oppressive as Robert Mugabe, Laurent Kabila, Laurent Gbagbo and other despots.

William Ruto is out of the equation in any national matters beyond his usual spinning wheels in his own backyard.

Kenyans have seen enough of the man, including his political shenanigans and true destructive colours way back before the referendum was held.

K(ata) K(iganja) K(atikati) alliance is not Kenya's main potential political nightmare, it's the three wolves in sheep's clothing that already in our midst.

Who in their right mind would want to have anyone of three become president for the next two terms?

It's only a crazy citizenry that would love to have the same feuding ethnic faces as top political leaders elected to higher office of the land as from 2013-2017 and 2018-2022.

The question is, why not give Martha Karuas and Kenyan women of substance a chance?

By mentioning Martha Karua and others I don't mean to include the likes of those who have let down their female counterparts like the well known wannabe striper grandma at every public gathering she's allowed to speak.

As always, Kenyans will deserve the government they elect in 2012 and 2017.

  10. Where is the renowned former chest thumping youth minister of Gbagbo and his Patriots of Ivory Coast (COJEP) hiding?

Have they all gone into self-exile in Liberia or Togo or taken refuge in the Katanga region of DRC?

Charles Ble Goude is his name, the former "fourth most powerful man in Ivory Coast" and he will be brought to justice on charges for extra-judicial killings.

Kwani, from where you come, what will a woman do Sir?

And, hii maneno ya erections, when will the masses get it. OPIUM TAKING does NOT MATTER.

Why do the masses cling to illusions so strongly Lord?

If you doubt, sample this. In the last week, the OLIGARCHY had a meeting to "redesign" their PONZI/FRAUDULENT financial system to make more FRAUDULENT.

    The question is:

    (a) how many OPIUM TAKERS were consulted?
    (b) do the OPIUM TAKERS even have a clue on these issues?
    (c) if they are as damn as a sheep on these things, what do they vote about?

Just listen to this rep. of the OLIGARCHY:

  14. Chris, l a gree with you on Kibakis desperation. It was his mistake not to have had full disclosure of what was under the cap. He will suffer and go nuts.but Hague is real for him. Folks donot understand that Raila called mass action but before mass action was called, houses had been burned in Eldoret. Police were eager to kill as many Jaluos as possible to stem the protests. Than God, a revolution started and is on going. The speed we required for enacting a new constitution has been revitalised to save the suspects. But that will be as much as it can go. The six suspects are surely guilty, just wait and see. They are peace preachers now and few days ago they were blasting Raila to depict him as the warmonger. Kenya is ready for a Kenyatta presidency because he has so much anger against other tribes.

Pictures of Gbagbo being dragged out of his hiding place looking like a cornered and trapped house rat depict the sad but true picture that many of Africa's citizens in 53 countries don't know how strong they are because they are ruled in fear by the dinosaurs of the past

One can only wonder what is going on in General Keugoya's head as he watched the events unfolding from Ivory Coast. Will he be sold out by Uhuru, Muthaura and Ali and end up with the same fate as Gbagbo? it must truly be a fearful time in the statehouse address of his excellency the president

I disagree with you on logic and recent happenings when you say:

"The PEV so long practiced in Kenya since 1961 is coming to an end, not because of Ocampo, but because of the alliance."

Please visit Rift Valley to know more. We'll not embrace solutions to stop violence in Rift Valley as long as we believe that what caused it was disagreements over election results.

As Ruto and Uhuru are rallying around the country, several PEV IDPs still fear going back where they used to live. Solution for repeated violence in Rift Valley is not an alliance of two politicians from warring tribes.

Further to that we all know that politics changes, you never know what will happen next month. Already we know that Uhuru is the endorsed flagbearer of the allinace and Ruto is the VP. Know that most Kalenjins are not happy with that, and maybe that can be the reason ODM is considering putting Mudavadi as it's flagbearer so that they can pull a carpet under Ruto and take the Kalenjins (you can only understand this if you know that eventually politics is fight for resources through mostly evil means). Moi is known to be telling them to go alone rather than supporting another person.

When you think of Kalonzo, Eugine Wamalwa and Hague then it gets further complicated.

Most likely if this alliance flops terribly we'll witness a more horrifying violence between the Kalenjins and Kikuyus in Rift Valley. We all know that the hatred between Kikuyus and Luos became worse than it was after Kibaki and Raila fell apart.

That's the reason we should all ignore this alliance when we are talking about peace and embrace a lasting solution that can solve the animosity between several tribes in Kenya.

Maybe one thing you are also not aware is that during PEV SLDF chased the Kikuyus and when they were through with them they started chasing Luhyas, afterall their problem wasn't election, but land that they believed belonged to them, which were not only occupied by Kikuyus, but also Luhyas.

But then all these is politics made in Kenya that we common wananchis will never benefit from but mostly loose.

  23. the terrible thing about fear is that it strikes at the heart which is the most vital organ of a human being, nothing else more important than that.

scaremongering then is the worst thing one fellow human can do to another, it is always better to offer hope and encouragement to your fellow man as fear is a killer who works on its own and needs no help to do its job of driving one to an early grave

This is the scourge now plaguing Kibaki as Ali&co begin their court cases in September.fear has begun its work and sleep must be difficult to come by for the duly elected incumbent.

  27. We are truly in for some interesting times. Mr Mwai "pumbavu" Kibaki will have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Even Lucy's "firepower" of SLAPS will not save him.

He will be the biggest fish that Ocampo will catch as, ultimately, he bears the greatest responsibility for what happened when the country erupted in flames after he STOLE his way back to power, an example that Robert Gabriel Mugabe of Zimbabwe and that Gbagbo - of ivory coast - who has just been deposed and arrested - followed.

That is why he is so keen to defend the Ocampo six and is still fighting a losing battle to have the case brought back home where he can control things. Sorry pal. Nothing doing. Siku za MWIZI ni 40 peke yake.

  28. It is said that if you pour innocent blood, there is no way, you will not be haunted by those you have murdered in cold blood. If this is true then it explains Kibaki's current strange behavior in doing all he can to "defend" the Ocampo 6 - specifically Muthaura, Uhuru and Ali. He knows that the trail for all the 2007/2008 violence will lead back to him.

Personally I have no sympathy for him, what with all the CONTEMP he vomits on us all the time. Let him SUFFER the consequences of his EVIL actions.

    Chris,
the problem with this country is the people of this country.
just imagine Kalonzo was being cheered yesterday when he decided to turn up from nowhere in the middle of the road rally yesterday and force himself into the vehicle ferrying Ruto and Uhuru.

Don't get me wrong i have no problem with the man but why were Kenyans cheering him when all along the very same Kenyans have been saying they don't like him? How fickle are we?

We deserve the leaders we get because we give them support that's how they are able to get into those positions in the first place. shame on Kenyans.

  30. Chris! Glad you're back. The grass will grow......just take it easy.

Now on to politics. I really dont think this new Uhuruto-Balala-Kalzonzo-Wamalwa and company grouping is just a flash in the pan. I think they're seriously out to take power and to hold on to it. They're smart enough to do it. That's not necessarily a bad thing if they dont demonize any one ethnic community as did the opinion poll president when he led the onslaught against kabila adui in the run up to the 2007 polls.

But I think this grouping ought to be challenged. Their brand of politics lacks innovation.

But Kenyan politics is full of interesting possibilities. For example, it can move in a much more constructive much desired direction if only one sleeping giant would just wake up. Atwoli sits on a gold mine. Wake up, sleepy head!

  32. The truth vs lies ref Ivory Coast...
Ouattara's mother is a citizen of Ivory Coast, allegedly from Odienne, Ivory Coast and Ouattara's father is from Sindou, Burkina. Ouattara's father is buried in Sindou, Burkina Faso and his mother in Ivory Coast
Ouattara grew up in Burkina Faso and claimed to be a citizen of Burkina Faso until age 46. Ouattara's immigration records in the USA clearly indicate that he was a citizen of Haute Volta (now Burkina Faso) when he arrived in the USA in 1962, at age 20.
Ouattara served high government position as a citizen of Burkina Faso, was at the IMF as a citizen of Burkina Faso etc...before becoming prime minister of Ivory Coast from 1990 through 1993.
When Houphouet died in 1993, Ouattara attempted to seize power in violation of the Constitution of Cote d'Ivoire but failed to do so.
Ouattara was the mastermind of the coups d'etat of 1999, 2001 and 2002. The 2002 coup d'etat turned into a rebellion with the support of France. Since 2002, Ouattara and his rebels had caused more than 10,000 deaths. He is the mastermind of 9/11 version of Ivory Coast (9/18) and Ouattara is viewed as the Ivory Coast OSAMA BEN LADEN.
Ouattara had never respected the Laws and the Constitution of Cote d'Ivoire. Ouattara and his rebels had refused to disarm before the 2010 elections. Instead, Ouattara's rebels had raped and killed Gbagbo's supporters in areas under the controls of his rebels.
Ouattara had lost the 2010 elections. Obama and Sarkozy want to impose him as president of Cote d'Ivoire against the will of the people of Cote d'Ivoire.
Ouattara is Burkina Muslim married to a French christian woman in France in a ceremony officiated by then Mayor Nicholas Sarkozy

There others who also wish they could spike or lace what you always smoke when excited, with some alternative point of views.

Kwani, from where you come, what will a woman do Sir?

Women can do a lot where men like youself and the current crop of dormant/submissive/doormat/corrupt/greedy/stubborn/tribal politicians have failed since December 12, 1963.

So, why not Martha Karua or any other women of real substance for a change?

Should Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, now 72, be the only exception?

The Howard-Taylors of Africa are not included at all, we already have many of them on Kenyan soil in light of what transpared during the PEV.

Anyhow, try and convince me (not "us" or "others") as to why you think or believe that a woman president and a woman prime minister would not be able to do a better job than what the country has already experienced in the last five stagnated decades.

Why do masses cling to illusions so strongly.

Because of scattered dreams and squandered opportunities that were once abundant after the 12th of December, 1963.

Because of shattered hopes for new beginnings that were on the horizon during the months leading to general elections in December of 2002.

Because of so many broken promises made during the peace accord that was agreed upon after the disastrous general elections of the 27th, December, 2007.

FYI, Kenya's children under the age of seven will face a brighter future if political tensions between the two main ethnic communities are properly dealt with.

By the way, Kenyans will end up with another Dos Santos, a cold war relic that has remained in power for the last 32 years, if they waste their votes on anyone of the tribal cheifs, Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga or Musyoka Kalanzo.

Why do masses cling so strongly to illusions?

Professors, gurus, authorities and experts in the world of financial matters and in your speciality, the field of business ethics and corporate responsibility, growing business foundation, history of sustainable development in Africa, made a real mockery of Mobile Banking when the services were first introduced in a certain East African nation as early as March of 1999.

Professors and experts like you even went on to brand the suggestion of such banking services as special madness and a very sick joke that should never ever be allowed or introduced in the financial industry.

Why was it rediculed? A genius believed in himself and had a lot of confindence in his vision when he suggested the powers that be that mobile banking would make it easier for millions of ordinary East African customers and a huge unbaked population without computers to have access to their money 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

They scoffed at the his idea and wanted to know what type of opium he was smoking at the time.

The rest is history while the banking industry in East has been revolutionarized forever.

How comes no body compalined or raised concerns when Alassane Quattara was the prime minister of Ivory Coast from 1990 to 1993? Why now?

Or when "he carried out presidential duties for 18 months while Houphouet-Boigny was very ill"?

Who still stands to benefit from the current misinformation?

"For us things are very simple: he (Alassane Quattara) does not come from Burkina Faso, neither by birth, marriage, or naturalization. This man has been Prime Minsiter (1990-1993) of Ivory Coast" - Burkinabe.

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about we kick out (deport) all Kenyans born to Kenyan mothers but have biological fathers from other countries of the world?

Does the politicization of Obama's birth certificate issue ring a bell?

Just wait, if you are lucky enough to be alive and see the day when real patriotic Kenyans will be politically mature enough and mentally secure enough to elect a president of Somali, Digo, Masai, Indian, Taveta, Shirazi, Baloshi, Kuria, Teso, Scottish or Samia descent (ancestry).

That's when some propagandist groups will begin discrediting the Kenyan:
    - Somali as being from Liboi, Somalia,
    - Digo as being from Tanga, Tanzania,
    - Gujarati as being from Gujarati, India,
    - Masai as being from Arusha/Moshi, Tanzania,
    - Kuria as being from Tarime/Sirare, Tanzania,
    - Taveta as being from Muheza/Kilindini, Tanzania
    - Teso as being from Kaberamaido or Serere/Soroti, Uganda,
    - Samia as being from Samia, Bugwe, or Busia, Uganda,
    - Baloshi as being from Balochistan, Pakistan,
    - Shirazi as being from Fars, Iran,
    - Scottish as being from Aberdeen or Edinburgh, Scotland.

What a crazy nit picking world of politics!

  36. "Never again shall a Kenyan lose his life or property because of tribal political competition". - William Ruto, MP - Eldoret.

Very well stated like a true statesman, but he will only be taken seriously if all IDPs who were forced out of Eldoret and neighbouring areas in the Rift Valley are officially facilitated in returning back to their rightful homes that they escaped from in December 2007 and January-February 2008.

Actions speak louder than words, and time will tell whether William Ruto the politician from Eldoret means what he said in front of those crowds or whether its back to knee jerking politics of settling old personal as well as tribal scores, Kenyan style.

The onus is on William Ruto, MP - Eldoret. Charity begins at home, in his case, it will have to begin in Eldoret, and real positive change will have to begin in his own heart and mentality toward other Kenyans from communities that he doen't agree with on certain political issues or see eye to eye.

Let William Ruto walk the walk for a change in the name of a better future not just for the Kalenjin people but also for all Kenyan people.

Let him be the first to extend a symbolic gesture peace in the form of an olive or banana branch to the IDPs and then to his perceived political enemies.

    Time will tell.

Women can do a lot where men like youself and the current crop of dormant/submissive/doormat/corrupt/greedy/stubborn/tribal politicians have failed since December 12, 1963

    xxxx

    Another delusion.

    xxxx

Should Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, now 72, be the only exception?

    xxx

mmmmmm, ehehheehhe, ahahhaha, where do you live?

Recently, John Morlu, the General Auditing Commissioner stated that Ellen's government was three times as corrupt as Charles Taylor Johnson Sirleaf government.

What was the reaction of this HERO of the ignorant masses? Among other stuff, we are reading this:

"Amidst heated speculations and predictions, the Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has decided not to re-nominate the Auditor General Mr. John Morlu for a second term."

    Source: http://is.gd/mH9DID

    xxxx

As if that was not enough, we are reading this:

"Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf finally confesses to funding Liberian civil war ..."

"In what commentators consider a sad day in her political campaign, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf recently admitted at a political gathering in Minnesota, USA, that she did support Charles Taylor's NPFL's insurrection which killed at least 200,000 Liberians."

    Source: http://is.gd/mKM3Eu

    xxx

So, as one has put it, your hero:

"...for the most part of her adult life, has helped financed and strategized destabilizing and destroying [Liberia] for the sole purpose of being president."

And, now, isn't she in charge of "reconstruction" as directed by the WB? We guess you have an idea what that means.

So, wake up from your so called women liberation delusions.

    xxx

Because of scattered dreams and squandered opportunities that were once abundant after the 12th of December, 1963.

    xxx

The euphorias of 63, 2002 and 2007 were all DELUSIONS induced by OPIUM.

However, reality must always reassert itself onced the OPIUM is over.

    xxx

growing business foundation, history of sustainable development in Africa, made a real mockery of Mobile Banking when the services were first introduced in a certain East African nation as early as March of 1999.

    xxx

Ati in a certain East African nation.... bla bla bla bla. Manifest bullshit.

You know what? To grow up is to distinguish fantasy and reality.

For your information, MPESA has nothing to do with Kenya, apart from scooping royalty and experimentation.

The MPESA thing was developed in the UK by SAGENTIA, a tech consultancy company based at Cambridge.

They wrote the software, designed the business proceses, provided operations technical support.

As such, the only thing Kenyans did was to adopt a foreign technology as a guinea pigs.

Thats the reality. Anything else you have heard and swallowed is FANTASY.

  38. Talk of the kettle calling the pot black, "So, wake up from your so called women liberation".

How about men like you first wake up from their chauvinist cocoons for a change?

Professor Know-It-All, you seem to be one of those confused adult males, in their early-mid-late 50s or 60s, who are so scared of seeing highly educated women in powerful leadership positions.

Talking of positions as in professional and political not in a perverted sense as many of your type would want to imagine.

The question has yet been answered: Why not Martha Karua and other Kenyan women of substance?

Why are you and company so scared of the posibility that you have characterized as FANTASY?

BTW, terms like "manifest bulls_ _t" were very a popular during our junior secondary school era.

I expected better from a professor with your sparkling credentials that have yet to be verified at Kumekucha University or other universities and institutions elsewhere.

  39. The only thing Kenyans did was to adopt foreign technology as gunia (guinea) pigs, and they did it so well when it come to the improvisation and utilization of MATATU vehicles, sukuma-wiki, chai, chapti, mandazi, mikate, wali, barbecue, just to mention a few other products that have served Kenyans so well since they were introduced into Kenya by outsiders.

  40. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf along with many other high profile politicians are bound to have her main detractors and staunch critics. It's goes with territory.

Honesty would have been the best policy with regard to the individuals, communities, institutions and nations that financed or supported the the Liberian civil war for 14-years.

Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, was honest enough to admit her limited role in the civil war and so many Liberians have come to admit their contributions as well.

While there are many who directly or indirectly supported Charles Taylor, and millions of none Liberians who helped finance the Liberian civil war through purchase of blood diamonds all over the world who will never come clean.

-Harvard-trained economist, Africa's first elected female president,
    - served as finance minster under under President William Tolbert in the 1970s,
    - narrowly escaped death after the Tolbert government was overthrown,
    - worked for the UN and the World Bank,
    - managed to bring semblance of normalcy and recovery to a country that had been brought down to its knees by a 14-year civil war.
    - she not an angel nor was she expected to rival Mother Teresa's track record,
    - and
    - she's 72, and seeking another six-year term to serve her nation.

Liberians will be the ones to decide and not her main detractors nor her staunch critics.

Perhaps, you are new to this blog.

Our position is simple. The problems in Africa are not due to lack of leadership,be it men or women.

As such, we maintain that, as long as our states are constituted as they are, IT DOES NOT MATTER whether we have a man or a woman as president or whatever names you want to have.

    xxxx

The question has yet been answered: Why not Martha Karua and other Kenyan women of substance?

    xxx

Just to empasise. You can have Karua or any other woman in 2012.

    It SHALL make no difference.

NB: You and many Africans are asking wrong questions. As a result, you come up with delusional answers.

As concerns Havard, you might be aware that, it is the leading member of the Ivy League of FOOLS.

As concerns the UN and the so called WB, these are Satanic institutions dedicated to the enslavement of Africans.

As such, having helped in destruction and murder of Liberians, she is there to allow the satanic WB to enslave the Liberians even more in the guise of reconstruction.

So, we are not impressed by these credentials at all. If you are, good luck.

  43. Women should learn to stop seeing a devil hiding behind every reference made by men about them.

the truth is the job of running kenya is too big to be left to just one man or a woman but it will take the whole entire population working together to move this country forward in the right direction. The very moment citizens fall asleep is the moment their governments start to misbehave and tear down the nation

Rest assured even the "Martha Karua women of substance" etc are no different in their essence from the Kibaki's, Kenyatta's, Odinga's and Wamalwa's of yesterday. Given the chance they would shock you with their abrupt u-turn from the so-called "reformers" of today to being the "custodians of status quo" tomorrow

Kenyans you must learn to discern intelligently who to vote for and who not to vote for including both male and female political candidates. Otherwise 2012 will be another free ride to buffons such as Sonko and his ilk on our backs for another 5 years

  45. @Mwara Ng'ethe,

First things first, I am not a newcomer to Kumekucha at all, if that's what you wanted to know. Settled.

On a very serious note, if your personal (not collective) position is that simple: The problems in Africa are not due to lack of leadership, but... ... ... ..., and if your concerns are sufficiently close to the painful truth to warrant our attention, then for Africa's sake, why don't you do us a very big favour and present a succinct and sophicticated diagnosis of what the real problems are as well as offer a prescription or prescriptions for eradicating the political cancerous growths that continue to afflict the whole of the African continent, fifty years later?

While at it, deliver the same in book form rather than waste such valuable insights pontificating on Kumekucha or elsewhere 24/7, 365 days.

    Thanking you in advance.

    Over and out
    .

  46. I was just thinking... No wonder Kibaki, Ruto and gang are rooting for a local court to try the PEV suspects. Their aim - right from the start - would be to AQUIT the suspects and not to deliver JUSTICE.

  47. Just saw gagbo being humiliated together with his family. Same cast was replicated in Liberia by samwel doe and the rest. Mark my words, history will repeat itself, only gagbo character will be replaced by quatara guy and the play continues.

  48. History doesn't have to repeat itself if Ivorians learn from their past and that of their neighbours.

As a matter of fact the world community is relieved to see the whole political mayhem and civil war quickly come to an end with the capture of Laurent Gbabgo and some of his henchmen so that they could all be brought to justice in due time.

So far, Gbagbo and his immediate family are being treated with some dignity as opposed to what we have seen on various news reels, youtubes, documentaries and pictorial images of what was done to Samuel Doe, the former leader of Liberia, a man who was mentally defecient in many ways.

In the meantime, most of the top brass of the Ivorian army, senior police commanders, civil servants and all those Ivorians who had defected or deserted Laurent Gbagbo have been reinstated to their former positions as a means to facilitated a smooth transition of affairs in Ivory Coast.

What else can we ask for at this juncture besides an immediate end to any mistreatment, torture, revenge killings or extra judicial killings by some of the victors who are still combing the countryside for fleeing reminants of Gbabgo's collapsed army, militias, and mercenaries from Liberia.

Shed no tears for Laurent Gbagbo, Simone Gbagbo (Black Widow/Madame Butterfly), his family and multitude of henchmen captured or still on a wild run beyond the confines of Ivory Coast.
