Kenyans Must Unite Against Diplomatic Rumours And Wild Allegations

Once again our filthy national fabric is being aired for all and sundry to see. US Ambassadors to Kenya must be our politicial classes' ego-therapist massuers. During their tenure in our swamp of corruption their ears act as international megaphones loud mouthing WILD ALLEGATIONS that would shame our local journalists best reports even on their greatest day

Former POTUS Bush and his successor Obama could not have asked for better international conduits of exported juicy RUMOURS than their men posted in Kenya. The smart diplomats do not play in the same league as former anti-corruption czar John Githongo who was forced to resort to secretly taping his unsuspecting informers. On the contrary in the presence of Rannenberger and his successive predecessors the collective overinflated egos of our political scoundrels simply exhale their utter contempt toward each other and their naked emotive tribal stereotypes masked as warped championing of good governance and democracy for Wanjiku.

Wikileaks cables reveal nothing new about Kenya's tribal based politics-the "muchene" (rumours) uttered in the consul massage parlors of Rannenberger&co. is nothing more than a reflection of our own rotten values as a society.Visit any Kenyan homestead after 8pm and witness for yourself wanaNICHI national past time of cheering fellow tribesmate thieves, murderers and drug barons MPigs while interpreting the main 9pm news bulletin through narrow tribal jingoism

Well, nothing exemplifies our fledgling democracy more than a fractitious coalition.Let embattled wikileaks founder Julian Assange not fool himself into thinking he did us a favour by exposing our skeleton closet to the world. We are a sovereign nation and will remain united against the meddling westerners.True they played their part in saving us from a one way ticket to hell but that was then. Now thanks to a new constitution plus ongoing judicial reforms we are once again standing tall in the international community of nations and nothing can ever put us to shame again.NA BADO

  4. I personally welcome the raw information I am getting. It doesn’t really matter to me whether some US diplomat made some comment about some two-faced scumbag, or whether some mighty person is embarrassed. I’m just happy that I can see how these public servants paid by our tax money think. As for me and my house, we will use our capabilities to make our own judgements. More LEAKS please!

  10. I have read all the cables on Kenya since they broke out and however much our politicians try and deny the so called allegation, they are shockingly true!!Kibaki, Raila, Uhuru, Kalonzo, Ruto none of them deserve to lead this country. Its all about personal interest and covering their behinds. From these dispacthes, Kalonzo's talk of sovereignty is just empty rhetoric!!

Kalonzo talking of getting Kenya back! Yet he boot leaks the American! This man is a real joke.
And thanks for that reveese psychology post. i hope you meant it as usual. Good day

  11. ‘‘An opportunist’’ and ‘‘intellectual lightweight’’, who had conceded that he stood no chance of winning the presidency but was determined to stop Mr Odinga from winning. Speak of a person lacking an agenda for Kenyans.

The youth, Musyoka said, believe that an Odinga victory would be a “revolution” (in the sense of dramatic action against corruption and improvement in social services and other areas) and will be impatient for results.”

Guys, i don't about you, but I would have RAO's revolution any day. If it means that it will reduce corruption, and uplift living standards of Kenyans quickly.

So Kalonzo does not mean well for Kenyans. He does NOT want to reduce corruption, neither does he wanr Kenyans to have better lives! So the people of Tsekuru will now know why their lives are poor. their MP doesn't want them out of poverty. He said that himself!

  12. I think we Kenyans are better than this simpleton way of ours. We do NOT discuss issues posted but we call ourselves names. The issue here is the way Kalonzo portrays himself as the saviour of Kenyan sovereignity yet he goes out of his ways to look for ways of blocking Kifake from running 2007 yet he wants kifake's men to support him.
This post has nothing to do with KK. KK is the messanger. And whoever thinks KK is the probelm and therefore wants to leave KK, please be my guest. KK did ask Kalonzo to ropoka. KK only reported what Wikileaks has leaked. Pan not intended.

I submit that Kenyans should look at themselves and start to discuss issues. Avoid emotions and tirades people.
    Thanks a lot.

How Libya's Saif al-Islam Gaddafi seduced the West
By Hugh Miles BBC Radio 4

The director of the London School of Economics Sir Howard Davies has submitted his resignation after admitting an "error of judgment" in establishing links with the regime of Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi.

Sir Howard visited Libya to advise the regime about financial reforms and accepted a £300,000 donation from the Libyan leader's second son Saif al-Islam Gaddafi for research at the LSE.

His departure underlines just how politically toxic links with the Gaddafi regime have become ever since it began its brutal suppression of the Libyan uprising.

Saif al-Islam's former friends and business associates in the west have become embarrassed to admit ever knowing him now his reputation as a liberal reformer has been scuttled.

Yet just a few weeks ago Saif was socialising with the creme de la creme of British society.

So how did so many respectable people get it so wrong?

In part this is because Saif makes such a good impression in the media. Tall and handsome, he speaks fluent English and presented himself as the acceptable face of the Gaddafi regime.

With few exceptions, he sided with the reformers in Libya and seemed prepared to go head-to-head with his father in an attempt to develop the fledgling Libyan private sector and open up the atrophied media.
    'Like the Godfather'

But Saif's warm reception in influential business, academic and political circles in the West was also attributable to the eagerness in some quarters to gain access to Libya's oil wealth.

"If Libya was a country without an oil producing capacity, I don't think Saif would have convinced the West," said Dr Omar Ashur, a lecturer in the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter.

As concerns Kalonzo's Kibaki's and the rest, what is surprising to a THINKING man/woman?

This is the way an Empire rules its vassal states.

Wake up from your fantasies and delusions. Once you do that, you will see the reality as it is.

Anyway, let us return to Mt Kenya of Human History to continue our observations of these matters from a higher ground.

    Viewing cable 08NAIROBI199, KENYA:

DID KIBAKI REALLY STEAL THE ELECTION?

If you are new to these pages, please read an introduction on the structure of a cable as well as how to discuss them with others. See also the FAQs

    -----------------------------------

    Sensitive-but-Unclassified. Please handle accordingly.

    -----------------------------------
    ¶1. (SBU) Summary:

    Kenya's hotly contested December 27presidential
election has been controversial on a number of levels, and many
observers still question who actually won. When we looked at any and
all available data to try to answer that question, we found evidence
of rigging on both sides and confirmation that some of the rigging
took place inside ECK headquarters itself. By analyzing various
datasets (available on request), we developed scenarios that could
point to either a Kibaki or a Raila victory. We do not think it will
ever be possible to tell definitively who actually won the election.
This is due in part to the compromise of election officials and
election-related ballots and forms, but also because our estimated
number of "ghost votes" (i.e., stuffed ballots) from both sides
easily exceeded President Kibaki's margin of victory. End summary

What a vain statement. It is NOT easy to convince anyone that nothing can put us to shame again. With or without a new constitution, there are signs that we are not yet out of woods. BTW, I even do not see how Wiki leak is attacking our ‘sovereignty’. Let information flow freely in this small global village, thanks to the World Wide Web.

None development? Being against quick result?
So we know what Kalonzo stands for none results and no development. Look out for stagnation.
As for me I would vote for this man well endorsed by Kalonzo for results and impatience to corruption. I too can't wait to see the back of corruption in Kenya. RAO you now have my only assured vote. Courtesy of Kalonzo's assurance of your abilities aka impatience to corruption and wish for high living standards for us Kenyans.

  21. Someone says Raila is impatient with corruption???
Na kweli some Kenyans are ngombe kabisa. For a man who thrives on corruption, whose only successful business enterprise was as a result of a corrupt molasses deal with moi, someone whose family was involved in the maize scandal, someone who surrounds himself with the who is who in the corruption hierachy of Kenya aka Gumo, Ruto, Kajwang, Mudavadi of goldenberg, Ngilu, dalmas otieno, and the list is endless.

How can one say such a thug is impatient with corruption???

I hear (read) you loud and clear, and I couldn't agree with you more.

The current spoiled and dead crop of leaders are part of the problem, but the real main problem is the people, the electorate, the warring ethnicities ('nations'), sub-divided clans, acrimonious villages, homes and houses of Kenya.

Kenya would be a superpower and a bedrock of the world economy if only our four decade old sisyphean election politics were a commodity to be traded on the world stokc markets.

I hate to be reminded ever year that, an underdeveloped country always reaps what it sows, and blindly elects unworthy leaders that it deserves.

Do we the people really deserve to have the current type of leaders and government that we have in 2011?

That's what they do for a living and unfortunately the level of national idleness, thanks to high digit unemployment and millions of victims of cruel and usual poverty, they always have a capitivated audience 24/7, like worshippers in a randown building on a rainy Sunday morning.

They are dead or dying politicians who have no constructive agenda nor anything of value to say to their constituents, fellow politicians and nation at large.

So far, it's all boiling down to silly myopic games and self-serving plays of musical chairs as the scared and panicking panya continue to fear and await the impending cuts in December 2012.

Some twenty three year old Kenyan who has been frustrated by all these figure heads, asked where will they be in 2025 or 2030?

I had to gather the courage which was sandwiched between saddness and sorrow before reminding the twenty three year old Kenyan that little have changed by 2025 or 2030 if their twenty something generation doesn't see things differently and change them as well for the sake of their future, their children and their beloved country of Kenya.

I am sure they have a lot of time, twenty years, to prepare for a better parliamentry system, government, economy, and a Kenya that they want by 2030, at a time when many of the current political dinosaurs will have been wiped out by social pressure, age, health related issues, accidents, power struggles, slef-destruction, alcoholic self-medication, or simple plain political oblivion that takes cares of many MPigs andd politicians around the world.
