The King of Pop's Dead, RIP Mr. Thriller

He popped onto the music scene, thrilled the world, conquered it and became king. Wacko Jacko was more than a phenomenon, he was an institution. Besides his record breaking sales, his electrifying dance moves of yore were not only athletic but remain uniquely synonymous with MJ.

He inspired a generation and for those who grew during his time Michael Jackson ROCKED THE WORLD. From Afghanistan to Zimbabwe MJ's lyrics ring true and uplifting to every music lover.

As a human being he had his ups and downs but MJ's music was and is still like aphrodiastics. From the best selling THRILLER, to Black or White to Heal the World, Michael has left a piece of his musical genius behind him for the world to savour.

Jacko was a trinity of genius. The singer, dancer and songwriter created a new mantra for modern day entertainment. He was simply magic, living ahead of his times even before the sound and visual effects of the present digital age.

Heal the world
His trademark elaborate, stop-on-a-dime dance moves spiced with the sensual soprano influenced generations of musicians. His whispery, high-pitched speaking voice was a unique gift that he employed to good effect in thrilling his fans.

The face mask epitomized his lows. The multiple plastic surgeries and his vitiligo illness transformed the hitherto masculine and athletic black man to a wispy, pale-faced, almost noseless figure. Call it the curse of celebrity if you may but Michael Jackson will remain an icon who also had the human heart. He also knew how to sell a good cause, as with his celebrity-packed "We Are the World" video in 1985 to raise money for starving people in Ethiopia.

Death remain the painful universal equalizer. The grim reaper has robbed the world of one of the planet's finest artiste of his generation. Fare thee well MJ and thanks for ROCKING US ALL when you lived.

There was a time that had he dies then, I would have been mighty depressed. Currently am saddened by his passing but I have a deja vu feeling; the same feeling I get when one dies after a long battle with a terminal disease such as cancer and AIDs, when said disease has ravaged them off their former self to the point where death is a blessing.

That is how I feel about MJ. He was great, his music was great, his videos were story lines but in the end, his life was a shadow of the man bedeviled by unbelievable drama and every time you heard of MJ, it was an embarrassment to the black community.

RIP.

"KING OF POP Michael Jackson died last night after a massive heart attack.

He collapsed and stopped breathing after an injection of a powerful painkiller named Demerol.

Jacko, 50, was said to be addicted to the drug - similar to morphine - and it is feared he took an overdose..."

So sad, he was a legend, it feels strange that he's gone because he's young, for a heart attack victim, and so many of us grew up listening to his music, it was as if he was immortal!

MJ is truly a product of the human greed. It's a pity he gave soo much to the world and all they thought of was ripping him off. He must have been ridiculed for belonging to the inferior race hence his desire to change his looks and be rid of the flat nose.It instills in me the moral issue of believing in who you are and getting grounded. Its a shame that people have such awesome things to say about him when he is gone - what a tragedy! I still wish that he had completed his UK tour and left it at a high note. Farewell thee well King. You are a legend and we'll sure miss you.

--this may have been the problem in the first place. but its understandable for one so addicted to excellence.

I often wonder whether his skin bleaching may have been related to his skin condition?

There is nothing comparable to MJ: yesterday, today and tomorrow.

A lesson for Kenyans. Genuine hard work brings recognition world wide. Stealing public money brings recognition at district level.

Mr. Jackson's problem was he lacked strong heart. He had a soft heart which was his downfall. He was inconfidence of himself and who he was and what he was which caused him to peel his skin off. Most importantly he just lacked that toughness to ignore everybody and everything.
