Sharp Shooter Cop Who Suddenly Became A Billionaire

Try going to the Carnivore restaurant on any Friday or Saturday night and chances are that you will get to brush shoulders with some of the wealthiest families in the land. Families which matter in Kenya.

Sadly there are very few self-made families. Just too few. Eti people who worked their way up from rags to riches? Very few indeed.

At the Carnivore, you will look around and see the son of a very corrupt former official who worked for the immigration department for instance. His father’s ill gotten wealth enabled him to get a first class education and now they are professionals doing very well somewhere. And you can tell from the way they are so comfortably leaning on the bar stool and sipping their drink like royalty itself.

One day recently I found the tears quickly gathering in my eyes when I thought about it. The truth is that children of non-corrupt Kenyans more often than not end up absolutely nowhere. Their parents don’t have the contacts and even if they sell everything to see them through university abroad, they will come back and there is no job. The family just doesn’t have the contacts. Kenya, as they say, iko na wenyewe na upende, usipende, it is controlled by the corrupt and the thieves of public property. Uta-do?

Even a substantial percentage of my dear precious readers on this site have been educated and are web savvy today thanks mainly to corruption money and stolen cash. The children of none corrupt Kenyans and those who did not have an opportunity to steal, are rusting away in the rural areas drinking changaa and other lethal stuff that is killing them slowly but surely.

I know this is sensitive but even as we criticize corruption here in this blog, it may be useful to ask yourself the million shilling question, how did your family make it’s vast wealth? That is the right place to start if we are going to fight corruption successfully in Kenya.

But some fortunes are from criminal activity pure and simple.

In the 70s a fascinating disciplinary case came up for consideration at the police headquarters. A police constable had disagreed with an Assistant commissioner of police. Constable is the lowest possible rank in the police force and assistant commissioner is the highest. The name of that assistant commissioner of police was Bob Morgan (now deceased) and the name of the constable was John Harun Mwau. The two gentlemen were incidentally both members of the Kenyan shooting team and admittedly the latter was better with a rifle, a sharp shooter whom few have been able to equal since.

The incident was an open and shut case and the fact that constable Mwau survived was a clear indication that he had powerful friends somewhere. But a few years later Acting Inspector Mwau was in yet another problem with his superiors. He had been appointed an instructor to pass on some of his talents with a rifle to trainee policemen at Kiganjo Police Training College. Ordinarily he would have stayed at Kiganjo in the accommodation usually provided for instructors. But instead the acting chief inspector chose to stay at an expensive 4 star tourist hotel at a nearby town. The bill he would run in one night was about half his monthly salary. So where was the acting inspector getting money to live so lavishly?

In fact today Mr Mwau is easily one of the wealthiest men in the land. So how did he make his money? Clearly he seems to have launched his business when he was still in the police force. Indeed the man got so arrogant towards the end of his police career, that he decided that he should not shave like other policemen (right up to the police commissioner himself) and got a doctor’s letter indicating that shaving his beard would be harmful to his health and well-being in some way. So you would see this shaggy-looking policeman with hir all over his face.

Now I know for a fact that there are a few Kenyans who have gotten asylum in the United States and elsewhere because of their fear for Mr Mwau and what they say he can do to them. So details of the exact business the man deals in can only be read via email. Get my SPECIAL REPORT on exactly how the man made his money. It is FREE. And you will get all the details to solve this mystery.

I also happen to know a number of corrupt journalists who never miss any press briefing or press conference called by Mr Mwau. When I ask them why they run so much when Mr Mwau whistles, they insist that their relationship is professional but admit that the man is very generous without giving details.

For those who may not know, Mr Mwau who is now an assistant minister in the grand coalition government was one of the chief financiers of the ODM’s Raila Odinga’s presidential campaign last year. In fact he was offered a full cabinet post on the ODM side by the PM, but declined saying that it was because he makes frequent trips abroad “on business” and he felt that his hands would be tied because the procedure is that a cabinet minister has to seek permission from the president every time they want to make a trip out of the country.

If you are continuously getting a sinking feeling even as you read this, then let me welcome you to this “sinking feeling club” because the truth is that the deeper you dig into how the wealthiest Kenyans made their money, the more the tentacles of corruption come nearer your very own door step and even touches those you love and believe are NOT corrupt. Money, the say makes the world go round and I can tell you that money also makes Kenya go round.

  3. I will start from
    1. the Kenyatta and how much he looted from the kenyan people.

    why start from here??

BECAUSE WE HAVE TOOO MANY DISPLACED AND LANDLESS KENYANS

    AND

THE KENYATTA FAMILY OWN LAND AS EXTENSIVE IN AREA OR KILOMETERS

    SIZE OF NYANZA PROVINCE!!

how as kenyans seeing our own people suffer and killed because of land can we even allow one family to own all this land??

THIS IS MADNESS AND IT SHOULD BE STOPPED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT!

  4. Read the report yourself. You are slowly but surely becoming desperate in your effort to sell your worthless raw notes.

Would I miss a night's sleep by missing your raw notes?

You suck when all one can read in the post is how 'hot' your purpoted raw notes are. Go to hell with them. If you can't publish them here, they are simply not worth a cent. You are completely safe in Carlifonia. Why the heck would you not publish publish without fear? This i dare say is a Nigerian 419

  5. Hey Kumekucha -

Thanks for the report on Mau but you disappoint me- ati Chris Kirubu and now Heron Mwau- so he is paying you to post this people here with half baked information??

as the other blogger says Chris

give us the top most corrupt people and show us what they have- if you do not cut the head off the body and the tail will keep working

give us the top corrupted people and families in Kenya since independence - this is the only way our
    1. IDP's will get a share of the land stolen from their grand parents and fathers(i.e Mau Mau freedom fighter families plus other families and tribes all over kenya from the coast to the rift valley)

2, /corporation and companies which were taken over by this thieving thugs can be reverted back to the government or legitimate owners

now look at the case of Kerio Valley and Ken-Gen on the power plant??

you see power/ statehouse does not mean you steal from kenyans and give your cronies goodies.

  6. If going to the Carnivore (by the way, how many Kenyans can afford going there anyway?) makes you cry, don't go there. Or at least tell us the truth: you go there BECAUSE you can brush shoulders with the richest Kenyans at that place, something you desperately need to improve your ego. TO BE ONE OF THEM THAT'S ALL YOU EVER WANTED, MAINLY SINCE PLAYING RUGBY AND SEEING THE LIKES OF JEFF KOINANGE AND HIS FRIENDS. YOUR TEARS ARE TEARS OF ENVY, MY FRIEND, BECAUSE YOU HAVE REALIZED THAT YOU WILL NEVER BE ONE OF THEM AS MUCH AS YOU TRY.

waste of time plus your raw notes- now you are becoming like a jilted lover- trying to sell secrets to the mans wife so that he can be kicked out.

problem here is you are not really posting any contructive material as to the kenya today you seem actually to be witch hunting-

    why do i say this??

the Kibaki and Kenyatta families you just gloss over without any substance or details- and demand people send you an email on the raw notes but if you look at Haron Mwau story and Chris Kirubi - you really and trully bash them on the head...

    what we are saying chris

post here details too on Uhuru kenyatta and kenyatta family on exactly how the stole from kenyans and acquired there wealth(I doubt if Uhuru, Muhoho, mama Ngina ever lifted a finger to acquire any of they wealth they oqn today - all come to them through Kenyatta during his presidency

what we would like to know is how kenyatta made sure all this free goodies where in his name???

touching on Moi the same too- How did all the wealth and goodies ends up in his names??

My question is why are the former and current Presidents of kenya been allowed to sign on anything they wanted and got it for free at the expense of kenyans????

For your info, I am no longer selling my raw notes on this site so keep your hair on.

I will not bother to tell you why I would prefer to deliver this info via email (for FREE) because honestly I don't think you have the intelligence to understand.

I am NOT desperate but I dare say you do sound desperate yourself from the kind of comment you have written here. Pole my brother why don't you open up, we may be able to help. Ama you are on duty? If you are at least read the post before you start spewing everything from the text book.

you must be foolish enough to think hard working kenyans who are not thieves and thugs would like to be in that mix-
you are surely very thick to even suggest that ati envy?? why would Chris or any other kenyan who does not believe in stealing and thuggery around wish to be in such a crowd??

look around you most of those children of this thieving thugs are dying so fast you know why??

  11. People,

This is not the time to start pointing fingers because most of our leaders are guilty to the core. PNU, ODM,ODM-K, they all have their share of thieves.

Why can't someone ie KRA question what kind of business some people in Kenya do that they can afford to spend like there's no tomorrow.

With the kind of lifestyle displayed by these thieves it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that future generations will do all that it takes to live like 'their heroes'.

I am a thoroughly discouraged poor Kenyan because like it or not we are stuck in a vicious cycle that will be difficult to break because the theives will continue covering each other's track like they are currently doing.

disagree on your points that the kenyans who are not thieves nor thugs (which by the way is 99% of the kenya population) will allow this 1% to get away with thieving, looting, murderers)
look around you the old today
All this former presidents and their friends and families

    Mubotu of Congo
    charles Taylor
    Kamuzi Banda
    Mengistu
    to name a few

The ordinary hard working people of each country have changed the way the countries are doing business-
Kenyans will too- the cover up has started to unfold(example Kimunya and many more coming soon)

You my friend seem to be in the cover-up category- because if you are a hard working kenyan like some of us then you should never post such a statement like you do not care about the looting in kenya and life according to you goes on the same old ways!

I DON'T THINK SO- KENYA AND KENYANS HAVE CHANGED .

  13. I doubt you have the courage to dispose Molasses-Raila's partners in Spectre. A South African crowd of crooks having made their money with selling blood diamonds for arms and some shady oil deals, also in Kenya during Raila's tenure as Minister for Energy. Countries like Malawi and Zambia have thrown them out, but they continue doing business in Kenya being 51 % (majority) shareholders in Spectre and the Molasses Plant.
I wonder if you dare to touch on Dalmas Otieno and his collapsed Thabiti Finance Corporation where thousands of Kenyans lost all their savings. On another note, Otieno is also implicated besides Biwott, Oyugi and Moi for the killing of Dr. Ouko. This is stated in the Sunguh-Report. Are you also reporting on these facts or are these people sacred crows? To be followed by Jirongo, Ruto, Kosgey (Moi's lover for many years given the poste as Ambassador in London for services rendered. The list is endless. Regarding the Kenyatta's and Moi's land issues: exact details about this have been published since months in various media outlets including a list of the 100 richest Kenyans and their business connections. All you have to do is digging into the archives of maybe the Standard. Saves you time to maybe write something substantial and please try to refrain to post comments like you did today. They make you look like a spoilt child crying for his mother.

A new spate of questionable deals amounting to billions of shillings has blighted the first 100 days of the Grand Coalition Government.

The public and donors are wondering whether the pledges made by President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga as they came together more than 100 days ago would hold ground in the face of the emerging scandals.

Fears are setting in that these scandals are likely to strain the relationship of the partner parties.

    Promissory notes

They range from the controversial sale of the Grand Regency hotel at Sh2.9 billion to Libyan investors; the unanswered questions at the Immigration ministry over issuing of citizenship and entry permits to foreigners; the Safaricom IPO; the cancelled contract with currency printer De La Rue; and purchase of troop carriers for the armed forces. There is also the unfinished business of nomination of councillors.

Others are the questionable changes at the Mombasa Oil Refinery and the inclusion of Sh4 billion in this year’s budget to pay for some of the promissory notes relating to Anglo Leasing that former Finance minister Amos Kimunya publicly said had been cancelled.

Concerned about these debatable deals in the media, Mr Odinga states: “The news headlines (on corruption) may also deter potential investors that Kenya is back in business as before, where financial transparency and accountability are just meaningless words.”

Nairobi Metropolitan Development minister Mutula Kilonzo argues that although there are “pockets” of official corruption, the swiftness to expose them is high given that rival parties have come together to form a government.

“I don’t think that as a country we had bid bye to corruption. The difference now is that we have a grand coalition government,” he says.

The upsurge in the shady dealings has started sending alarm signals among donors, as Mr Odinga admits.

“I have also heard that some of our development partners were considering withdrawing financial support and development assistance. Well my message to them is that this is the new Kenya where people regardless of their status are accountable for their actions,” he states.

German ambassador Walter Lindtner says diplomats are concerned about the rising cases of questionable deals.

The scale at which the scandals are popping up reminds, painfully, the public of the multi-billion scandals of Anglo Leasing during the first term of the Kibaki rule and that of Goldenberg during the reign of Retired President Daniel arap Moi.

Says former Kikuyu MP Paul Muite: “The Kibaki administration is not any different from the Moi government. May be the only difference is that corruption is now a little bit sophisticated like using the Nairobi Stock Exchange. The only hope is that the ODM part of the coalition can effectively check on corruption.”

Assistant minister Ahmed Sugow, MPs Jakoyo Midiwo, Musikari Kombo and Bonny Khalwale hold that the country can only be saved from the malaise through enforcing the tough provisions of the law and strengthening institutions.

IF I WERE AN INVESTOR INTERESTED IN INVESTING IN KENYA - I WOULD WANT TO SEE ALL THE ABOVE CASES DEALT WITH- 2002-2008 CORRUPTION IS STILL GOING STRONG WE ALL CAN SEE THAT AS KENYAN'S
GAUGING WITH THE EXPLANATIONS KIMUNYA GAVE US ON OPEN MEDIA ON THE SELL OF THE GRAND REGENCY HOTEL

    SO WHO IS FOOLING WHO?

  16. Ladies and gentlemen, there is a modest way of attacking a writer's story. Simply read and puncture holes in it. Some people here have no idea of how this is done and end up insulting the writer with vulgar language. This goes to show just how shallow their skills are. Case in point Onyango Oloo, brother style up. You see Chris has made it his duty to write what he thinks is factual. Whether it is factual or not is another case. If you disagree with his article, simply provide an alternative and dare him to post it. In absence of that SHUT the F*** UP.

  18. I just found this useful information about Lucy Kibaki on Wikipedia:

    She is my hero

Lucy Muthoni Kibaki is the wife of Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki. She was born in Mukurwe-ini in the 1940s to the Rev. John Kagai and Rose Nyachomba, in the Central Province's Mount Kenya. She was trained as a teacher, and rose up to the post of principal in a teacher-training college in Kiambu. She first met Mwai Kibaki in 1960, and they were married in 1962. Mwai and Lucy have one daughter, Judy Wanjiku, and three sons, Jimmy Kibaki, David Kagai, and Tony Githinji. She is a patron of the Kenya Girl Guides Association.

Lucy is also known for her charitable works often supporting disadvantaged children and people with disabilities.

we know all that- and we also know many a times Lucy has gone crazy and beaten up her husband Emilio kibaki at Nyeri Golf club and yes Muthiaga too.
We also know for a fact that before even kibaki become a president Both Lucy and kibaki rarely attended any functions together infact most people who knew them know that theirs was a marriage only on paper and that Wambui was the main squeeze- and things changed when kibaki become president in 2002- Lucy resurfaced and that was the beginning of mama Rucy( I call it the come back after being a nobody in Nyeri and kibaki's peers)

Now please stop telling us about Lucy Kibaki we know more than you can even imagine( I have told you nice things so far)

  23. Anon @ 9:26,

Okay what can we the 99% do, apart from watching as the thieves eat their loot in our faces ? arrest them and throw them in jail? Haven't people demonstrating against such theft been clobbered senseless? how many whistle blowers have been embraced for shouting out?

We know who the thieves are, but are caught up in a hopeless situation because the wheels of justice will not catch up with the theives soon.

My point is that the rot is so deep that we shouldn't expect major changes soon.

I am not sure whether to be optimistic any more. Remember the level of optimism in 2003? If the government was really serious shouldn't heads have been turning by now?

  24. Chris,
Are you trying to suggest anyone who is rich in Kenya is corrupt?
You mean going to carnivore restaurant make one rich and corrupt? I have been there on several occasions and I am not rich or corrupted and I have never felt insecure while I was there.

I have a story here for you I would like you to read, I found it very inspiring and I hope you find it inspiring too. Please do not dismiss it because it me who is posting it but read it thorough, I know it long but you will realise not everyone has gotten their wealth through back door.
I collect this kind of stories as a souvenir from all across the world to inspire me.

Dedan Njoroge Nduati was a testimony of the rags-to-riches adage. From very humble beginnings as a petty trader in hides and skins, charcoal and wattle bark in the 1940s, he rose to become one of the most successful fleet transport entrepreneurs, owning over 100 public service buses commonly called Jogoo Kimakia.
They traversed the length and breath of Kenya - Central, Nairobi, Eastern, Rift Valley and parts of North-Eastern provinces. The businessman, who died last week, ran the fleet with a strong yet gentle hand, imposing on the crew a strict drill of physical exercise and moral discipline.
Many are the times he woke them up at 3am for a rigorous routine of body fitness, saying it was necessary for alertness on the road to ensure passenger safety. He also ran a parallel cargo transport company, besides vast businesses - coffee plantations, real estate, commercial buildings and dairy farming.
The latter were a divesture from his core trade when woes beset the transport industry, eventually leading to collapse of Jogoo Kimakia and other big names like OTC (Overseas Trading Company) and, later, Kenya Bus Service (KBS).
Born 82 years ago to a poor family in Ndutumi village of Mugoiri location, Murang'a district, he later migrated with his widowed mother to Kiria-ini in Gatanga, Thika district. He dropped out of formal education at class two, owing to lack of enough money for family upkeep and fees.
Age mate Samuel Muigu Mundia, who grew up with him and "faced the knife" together, remembers him as ambitious and energetic. "He had unmatched business acumen," he says, adding: "Nothing seemed to satisfy his energy. He zealously searched for challenges and new opportunities.

"It was this that made Nduati open a shop and a restaurant at Kiria-ini village, almost concurrently with his skins and charcoal business," recalls Mundia.

Subsequently, Nduati ventured into cargo transport in the 1950s and bought several lorries to ferry goods from Mombasa port to Kampala in Uganda. In 1965, he acquired his first bus, a brand new Austin registration number KKA 605.
He bought it from Gailey and Roberts and christened it Jogoo Kimakia. It was the birth of what become a legend in local transport. In a short spell, he had a fleet of buses. They traversed Nairobi, Thika, Embu, Meru, Kitui, Nanyuki, Nakuru and Kisumu routes.
Jogoo Kimakia grew to be arguably the largest indigenous passenger transport firm in Kenya, and perhaps eastern Africa.
It served the entire Central, Nairobi, Eastern, Rift Valley and parts of North-Eastern provinces. At one time, the fleet rose to 113 buses, and spawned a parallel cargo transport business.

A legal advisor and trusted friend, Prof G.S Munoru, remembers Nduati as a strict disciplinarian. "He would wake up as early as 3am to put his drivers and conductors through physical drill. Nduati said it was meant to ensure alertness and sobriety before starting work, adding that the crew should not gamble with the lives of passengers."

The professor of law admires Nduati's ingenuity and mastery of business - never being taken aback by the complexes of management or the bewilderments of huge cash transactions despite lacking adequate formal education.
As a reward for promoting their business, Leyland Motors gave "Mzee Jogoo" one bus free of charge and an all-expenses-paid trip to London every year, says Prof Munoru.
When fortunes of the transport business began to wane, Nduati diversified into petroleum retailing. He operated a number of petrol stations in Thika town.

In the mid 1980s, he cut down on the fleet of buses and invested in real estate, mainly in Thika town. Notable projects include the flourishing Jogoo Kimakia housing estate, Jogoo House and other commercial buildings.
He also went into coffee and dairy farming, with a great measure of success.
In all these ventures, he was assisted by his three wives, Rachael Njeri, Beth Wanja and Teresia Wathira.
Nduati steered clear of controversy and politics. As a community responsibility gesture, he built Jogoo Kimakia secondary school in his rural home.

Local MP Peter Kenneth, who was an assistant minister for Finance then, paid glowing tribute to the departed icon, describing him as a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration to many people.
Mr Kenneth recalls the many times Nduati assisted various development projects, especially in education. Along with other Christians, Nduati founded Mugumo-ini ACK church in 2004 and donated a plot on which it is under construction.

    Beat the odds

Former Thika mayor Mumbi Ng'aru, who is a pupil of Nduati in business and a close friend of the family, says he was a shining example to locals.
"We should respect people like him. He acquired wealth through hard work and beat the odds to build an empire without stealing or looting public coffers."
Her sentiments are echoed by former Thika mayor and close associate Douglas Mundia, who says Nduati was very humble despite his wealth.

I still maintain they wheels of justice will continue turning and i can't even imagine or compare Kibaki's rule 2002-2007 when he controlled everything and corruption flourished where Moi had left it to now??
How can you?? this is a changed kenya whether you want to accept it or not- the new generation and new blood bumping hard to change things around can't be stopped even if anyone tried!!

The days when one leader by a nod of the head gave out massive wealth is gone- today we are here me and others to make sure information flows and out elected members of parliment don't habe to waste time digging for information on corrupt dealings past and present "we hand it over to them on golden platters") all fully researched and all they have to do is to bring it to parliament and make sure it is debated on - and follow up to take action or else they surely know that if they don't that is indeed the last time they are ever going to see parliament (No votes for them)

I guess you are one of those kenyans who seat back and lament on why things are not happening and you are not engaging even by email or blogs to your area Member of parliament or you are abroad and have no time to engage or you do not care?? seeing what kind of defeatist thoughts you post on here

I strongly maintain that kenya and kenyans have changed because this time round the ordinary people have power in their hands even though the presidential election was full of rigging and stolen- the parliamentarian elections for MP's was ok and we kenyans through out many of MP's to be....

corruption is going to be a past tense in Kenya!!

and as for Peter Kenneth?? Please ask him about kenya Re and how much he looted from there?? ask him about the flower farm in Thika and how he come to own big shares in that Venture??
he is the last MP i would listen to giving praise to anyone- since he is also a thieve and a thug!!!
Kwale get inside full information before posting here stories that newspapers in Kenya post praising thugs!!
I guess you would also be praising Kanyotu too- he started as a poor police officer and turned to a kenyans billionaire!!!

As for Carnivore: go read Chris Story carefully as usual you missed the point - why doesn't this surprise me??
most ordinary kenyans have been to Carnivore- there is a crowd of Daddies spoiled brats that hang around and flash their parents ill gotten wealth yes we all know stolen wealth !!!!!

  29. I think we put a lot of emphasis on the corruption of Mwau and the other fellows in government. Any successful war on corruption must start with SELF.

If each one of us decides they will not engage in anything corrupt, if we educate our people (the common people) on how much corruption has hurt them, even the fellows in the top tiers of government will stop the practice. Today, these fellows engage in corruption without battling an eyelid because yhey are acutely aware of our willingness to harbour corrupt practices and even hail and defend them. That is why a huge number of comments here seem to suggest that it doesn't matter how mwau made his money. To a lot of people, corruption is not corruption unless praticed by a Kenyatta, a Moi or a Kibaki. And that is why we are stupid.

To those fellows saying 99% of Kenyans are not corrupt, come on and give me a break. Ours is a culture rotten and stinking with corruption. I believe more than half of the Kenyan people have very corrupt characters. We are always obsessed with those in government without looking at ourselves. That is why the Mwaus, the Kapondis, the Ephraim Mainas were elected with such convincing majorities. Because our values are reflected in them, it's that simple. Our cautiously partisan (based on retrogressive politics)attacks on those corrupt just goes to show how unqualified we are to even talk about the vice. Our defense of people with properly documented records of corruption, murder, abuse of office and many other 'unenviables' renders us unqualified to lecture people on corruption.

About this notion that people cannot make their money without playing dirty, get that off your mind. There are many millionaires in Kenya who earned every dime and every nickel they have.

THIS SUCKS-

education SYSTEM 8-4-4 NEEDS AN OVERHAUL- THIS SYSTEM WAS A FAILURE FROM START..........

Deep throat inside the school exam system
    July 25, 2008 · No Comments

I knew it there was something those 18 year olds were telling us but we could not get it. They were saying Daddy and mum come see we are getting hosed live while you sit there doing nothing. Our schools are in crisis. Actually the whole education system is in a crisis. This crisis have persisted since the hastily introduction of 8-4-4 in the late 1980s. Corruption have not helped.

since the 1990s when the economy was in the toilet and the only way to a good job was through corruption Parents started demanding that teachers do what they can do to get their sons and daughters “grades that were acceptable” at the job market or university both private and public ones.

I sat for my KSCE exam in 199X during mock exams my school visited Alliance high school as part of n program which was meant to inspire our school leadership to adapt “best practices” at AHS. What my fellow students learnt is that the “mock exams” at these institutions were almost the KCSE exams. My schoolmates were curious and did their own investigations in a few national schools and they found out that Students at these schools had a good idea of the exam will look like in terms of topics and some of the big marks questions. We had only six months left to exam when we learnt this information. I used to be a good organizer and I called a Kamukunji. The following resolutions were passed

o Each student among the TOP 15 was going to be assigned a Topic in each subject depending on strength if you are good in Maths you got assigned several top “possible exam topics” we were going to prepare Mwakenya (shortened Notes) that could be used for cheat in the exams if the situation allowed.

o The student assigned was going to tutor and coach others on the subject and look at past mock papers from the nationals and give them to others with answers.

o I was assigned History, agriculture, and English lit

o We started getting leaks from either Mangu or some other school where one of the students had a relative seat for the exam.

o The leaks were good we confronted the teachers and asked for assistance in mastering these topics. I have say the teachers new this trick and cooperated very well.

In short come exam day we were equipped with mwakenyas and the knowledge in our heads. We had a rough exam time as the “supervisors” started bursting some fools who were stealing openly. However they were all smoothened by the administration and nothing left our school.

Come results time we had the best performance the school have ever had.

Lessons.. The KSCE exam as it is today is Unfair. Some schools cheat and have perfected this art very well.

My suggestion do away with KCSE and adopt another national exam conducted indendent of the school and Education ministry

Two, the last time I checked, mwau was not a kikuyu. The likes of William Ruto, Johnstone Muthama, Cyrus Jirongo, Raila Odinga and many other people who mysteriously became billionaires are not kikuyus. There are very corrupt Kikuyus, but you know what---There are equally corrupt Luos, Luhyas, Kambas, Ogieks, Somalis and Nandis. It is across the board, little fellow.

And I still hold my view that the majority of Kenyans (Kikuyu or otherwise) are corrupt. You can deny it all you want, but deep down your heart you know it is true.

I still maintian the 1% corrupt in kenya is mostly from central province and like i pointed out it started with Jomo Kenyatta and those are known facts whether you would want to wish them away it won't happen.

kikuyu's are the most corrupt in kenya and it is about time they learned to earn their living in a clean way like most kenyans....

About your estimation of my tolerance with those comments abusing the Kamba people, show me which comments those are that always attack Kambas. All I see here are Kikuyu this Kikuyu that kind of comments. Leave alone the Kamba community, I will defend communities as different from mine as the Luo or the Maasai.

And again, why should we even be talking about tribes? Yes, Kenyatta, Kanyottu, Murungaru and many many other kikuyus were (are) corrupt. But you do not have to be intelligent to know that Biwott, Kulei, Dalmas Otieno, Cyrus Jirongo,William Ruto and Moi himself are not Kikuyus. Many kenyans have gone through what your mother has gone through trying to claim their retirement benefits.
My question to you is this? why didn't your mother give up??

If I'm not wrong i believe that most government retiree in Kenya just like your mother know that those benefits are there right and nobody or no law in Kenya can take that away from them and that is why they keep traveling to Nairobi to check on their pension cheque and they never given up, because it is their right.

same way that we as kenyans know Kenya belongs to kenyans and if you give up on Kenya like i can see you are giving up- the next generation- our children and grand children will find a pit-hole full of stench - and that is not what any Kenyan wants to see happening.
kenyans are not defeated by a few elements in the high offices that have decided to loot the country dry- we will get them out of office through our democratic vote yet again but this time it will be totally different- as you can see kenyans have actually realized that they have power to decide who heads the country - they did so in 2007- although they ended being cheated- but you can see instead they pushed for a coalition government and that for now has put a stop to more faster looting of the country - though not entirely all.

second example the schools and the exams problems and the stealing and cheating of exams in kenya-
the students are saying to us- please change this unfair system-
    why is that??

since some students don't have to read and h=yet get "A" and straight to compass while others read head and yet fail(good example last years results) nothing was done or changes- the strikes will not stop because many students across kenya feel cheated- the government should look at the cause- stopping cell phone, dvd, T.V is the most stupid move we have seen when the problems and the reasons have been are staring at eveyone for some years now.

EXAM CHEATING- MOCK CHEATING- NO FAIR PLAYING FIELD ACROSS THE COUNTRY- SO WHY SHOULD OTHER STUDENTS BOTHER TO STUDY HARD WHILE OTHERS GET FREE EXAM PAPERS BEFORE THE EXAMS TO CRAM SO THAT THEY END UP WITH "A" ACTUALLY THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE TO ATTEND SCHOOL- BUT JUST WAIT FOR THE END OF TERM GET THE COPIES OF THE EXAM PAPER AND THAT IS IT
(on this i say to the education ministers both Ongeri and former Saitoti - you felled our children- free education is nonsense when student are not taught with a correct curriculum free of cheating)

I will repeat again Kenyans have changed and I believe we are on the right path for the future and if you can't see it as your right to push for change - just like your mother sees it as her right to follow her pension with no fail no matter how long it takes her then i sincerely have no clue what to say to someone like yourself??

How for example have the poor benefitted from the 6% economic growth or the impressive revenue collections. I know you might say CDF - now that is another debatable issue.

To make matters worse, there seems to be an upsurge of new corruption.
Any good that may have come out of the 'changes' is negligible due to the CORRUPTION monster.

I somewhat would like to understand where your are coming from - and yet again I don't
    1. independence- Kenyatta corruption(few kenyans like J.M Karuiki so it happening tried to stop it but they finished him(they meaning the corrupt government)

    2. after which Moi to over until 2001 (Massive corruption)

    3. 2002-2008 January- kibaki took over and continued with the same massive corruption.

what does the above have in common?? always the head of the country is in control and answerable to no one except for himself- TOO MUCH POWER VESTED IN ONE INDIVIDUAL"the President"

The 27th December 2007 elections changed kenyans- if you didn't feel the change then - i sure do not know what to say to you- anyway either way winners or losers - and what happened after changed kenya and kenyans as a people- it will never go back to be the same as before- Look around you- even school children changed - kenyans become very alert and aware of what was happening in their country and for those who had not bothered- went out to find all the information( the point here is kenyans all over the country educated themselves on the political structure and what was happening and used their voice to push for a settlement e.t.c between the two parties, after which we got the Grand Coalition(kenyans were ready to keep fighting for their democratic rights- " a right to cast one vote) don't get me wrong here - kenyans have not given up- they are watching and waiting - trust me on that-

then come the coalition government 2008 - Here is when you see the change in kenyans i.e they are more outspoken- the news and blogs are used without fear to get their points out to the MP's and government and even sometimes the media seems irrelevant since the blogs gives us more updated news sometimes before even it hits the press and this is the new kenya= information is flowing quickly(Grand Regency and Kimunya saga) Kenya and kenyans changed they way of thinking and doing things- I still remember when we were all told to boycott the nation newspaper and many kenyans did except those from central province or "kikuyu and Meru's-
Nation newspaper had to beg and say that it had not supported kibaki - but i know for a fact they lost a lot of business that month- You see I strongly believe kenyans have the power to decide which direction they want or expect the country to move to-

kenyans are a people who have plenty of patience and i know they are waiting patiently for the constitution and as Raila and kibaki are aware by now - they better deliver or else kenyans will show them the way out- after the new constitution is in place- the rest is history-

we kenyans have changed and corruption will soon be dealt with in a big way- I see a good beginning and hey one by one is the way to go.

Mungatana: Forget the talks, we are on our own
PART OF THE WEEKEND INTERVIEW WITH MUNGATANA(OF NARC-K)

HE SAY KIBAKI TOO OLD AND HE SHOULD NOT DARE INVOLVE HIMSELF IN THE 2012 ELECTIONS!(and on this agree with him- he is trying to do the Moi blessing uhuru for presidency- i sincerely don't see that uhuru drunkard rat as president of kenya!

it would have made a big difference (if Kibaki was on a Narc Kenya ticket) and the gap (between the two main parties) would have been much bigger with Kibaki in the lead.

    Related Stories

PNU brought a lot of bad blood to the country and if Kibaki were on a Narc Kenya ticket, Kenyans would have been spared the post election suffering.

Is that why you are so vehemently opposed to the strengthening of PNU?

PNU was a vehicle that was manufactured for the express purpose of taking President Kibaki to State House and its work was completed when it reached that destination. Bringing it back for the 2012 polls would be a fraud on the Kenyan people.

Now we have “jua kali” panel beaters, chief among them one Noah Wekesa (Minister for Forestry and Wildlife) trying to recreate the vehicle in readiness for 2012. But the vehicle is unserviceable and is bound to fail as it has reached its sell-by date.

Again, if some people want to create any vehicle for 2012, they should not involve President Kibaki; an elder statesman who has done his bit and should be let alone and not be embarrassed the way (former President) Moi was in 2002.

Kibaki cannot be part of the 2012 equation and, in any case, Wekesa himself is too old to be planning for 2012.

Was Narc Kenya short-changed by Kibaki in terms of government and public sector appointments following the 2007 elections?

We were terribly disappointed as we had carried the president through the campaigns and brought (to PNU) majority of MPs. We expected three automatic nomination slots in parliament.

But we got none and even where appointments were made, they were done without consultations with the party. I actually wrote to the president complaining that the action (on nomination of MPs) was unacceptable and insisted that we get our fair share, but this fell on deaf ears.

Despite our support (for the re-election of the president), parastatal, ambassadorial and other political positions have been filled without formal consultations with the party. By consulting directly with individuals, the culture of coalitions is not being adhered to.

What is your party’s ambition and how will you bring this about?

Our main ambition is to capture power in 2012 and although we will continue supporting the coalition government, we will tell them where they are going wrong.

We are telling them that they gave women and the youth a raw deal especially when Kibaki refused to give the deputy prime minister’s job to Martha Karua and Raila to Charity Ngilu. If they had done this, the two leaders would have been truthful to the women of Kenya.

Instead of recycling the ageing Muthauras and Isahakias of this world, both Kibaki and Raila would have done the youth a big favour by appointing young people to senior government positions.

I am one disillusioned Kenyan. Anyway,I think we both agree that the only 'change' worth mentioning is the freedom to talk about the ills in our society.

Have our leaders changed? Am i the only one that feels the optimism and the resultant 'change' is one way? My friend, the knife has to cut both ways.

My beef is that the people at the top have not changed much and this is the source of frustration am talking about.

That's what Chris is upto when offering his FREE information: collecting as many email-addresses as possible for money..........

  54. Chris - if all your intentions are clean and sincere, then please tell us why we should subscribe and give you our names and email-addresses? If there is nothing else hidden here, why don't you publish whatever you have to say straight away? Don't hide behind some empty assuring phrases like you did right now. Come out, show courage and tell us the truth. If truth should prevail as you say.

  59. It has been established now beyond any reasonable doubt that some of the people writing in this space are very serious drug addicts and peddlers .its unfortunate that people can write very interesting stuff on this blogs but our investigations have established how hypocritical people can be. I want to be plain and to the point that Mr. Sam R O Otiende has been supplying drugs to young people at the coast schools. in public and in blogsphere this guy will pass for a very serious and very conscious about development and the interest of young people and now it has been established that he is leading to ruin of many young lives by selling to them bhang and cocaine. in this industry of drug trafficking he is fondly referred to as Sam R O Otiende, the young drug addicts always believe that he is the only person they can trust in this field because he is quiet and hence able to hide secrets. He is said to well connect too with a number of high school children to whom he always brags that it is his easiest way to ascend to riches. Sam, you must know that we know your activities and you must stop them. We are not going to continue watching you to continue spoiling youths through drug trafficking. You must stop this or else we are going to expose you. You should stop taking advantage of school children for your own benefit. Because eventually, you too will loose out once you become a junkie. its very interesting for some of you people who spend a lot of time claiming to be bloggers when all you can expose here is mere stupidity that doesn't add sense at all.If you want your story to be believed, come forward and tell us what your sources are.the blog sphere has become full of idlers who have nothing in between their ears other than spreading rumors that are highly unfounded.if you are courageous enough to back up your allegations, why dont you reveal your name so that we can also be able to share this seemingly exciting information.i would not rush into defence of any of the mentioned but I my follow up to your story has made me understand who you are.I would like to know your source of the information.following your writings,am highly convinced that you yourself are a drug junkie who is trying to spend your madness on the keyboard without providing any clarifications.Sam R O Otiende, whoever you are,I believe you are a lazy psychopath who doesn't have any objective idea.i suggest that people of your kind be taken to hospital for mental checkup and drug rehabilitation.if you are really sincere,i would like to see you express your ideas with reference to the source of the information.why would you want to drag the vice president into your desperate situation.you seem to be really out of your mind and all you write is purposeless and lack of intelligence.my friend please find something else to do if you have nothing to tell people.and if you wanna be a writer please seek some training..i have never had an opportunity to know any of the mentioned people but i believe i would only like to inform you that what i hear in form of rumors is opposite of yours..which i have never found time to write about but i don't document rumors, but for your benefit, those people who have happened to interact with some of these people you castigate will lynch you if they ever found you writing such things.am seeing you even quoting what you knew about Hon.Mwau in 1970's.how old were you then?who told you that if you sell drugs you become successful.I know that after you being convinced that drugs brings wealth, you have tried several times to trade in bhang but I know by now you are giving up because you discovered you were misadviced.next time look for something worthy discussing other than working on tarnishing names of people.YOU JUNKIE who doesnt dare reveal his name.
