Minister Number 2.5 Rattles the Till

Finance Ministry is the nerve centre of all the national LOOTING and will never be entrusted to nosy or untried hands. John Michuki was the best bet to keep the lid tightly shut lest the worms come out crawling to embarrass the king. The acting minister is primed to promptly kill two birds in one blow: one the budget debate will not be derailed for lack of a minister. But mostly importantly the able Kimeendero will make sure the privileged Kenyans who borrowed Ksh. 20b from with no intention of paying have a trusted hand to cover them now that their guarantor is a political past tense.

But wait a minute. The workaholic Michuki must have an administrative transplant to wade through the 10th Parliament. His bravado and high handedness of the colonial school will meet its match. Besides pressure from the public Kibaki’s financial inner circles will not find it easy to do business with John. The old colonial administrator will obviously take no orders from first siblings who are busy feathering their nest with every available opportunity. Then the predictable conflict of interest as Michuki himself has the high affinity to smell deals miles away.

In addition to containing MPs within parliament, Michuki’s acting capacity is a clever ploy by Kibaki to avoid political fallout in his own backyard. The minister’s DNA had to be right for obvious reasons. But then there starts the next round of intra-ethnic wars. While Karua and Uhuru have their political antennae tuned to 2012, the council of elders and Trancentury patrons have higher and bigger objectives which are short term stretching into long term. The deals made to finance last years polls must be completed no matter what and new ones brokered and finalized in the next 1500 days. Only a safe pair of hands which is not only trusted but also tested and tried fits that bill.

Last sweet laugh
Meanwhile Kimunya can leak his wounds for now secure in the knowledge that his job is secure. The pain will eventually be worth it Amos. Be brave enough for the Okemos of this world for they will cause some tiny sweat. But the trophy will be your Finance docket when the Majid Cockar commission will predictably release a stunning and sensational report exonerating you and praising you for having saved your country Kenya with your business astuteness in securing above bid price for the disgraced Grand Regency.

And who being silence and aloofness in the middle of a scandal and political storm being clueless? Well, now we know better. There is pure leadership from the rear where you manufacture a facade of fairness by creating two acting ministers. A textbook resolve would see our MPs seek the high moral ground and stick to it till the LOOTING ghosts are exorcised. But they know doing so would jeopardize their own hefty pay with no Finance minister to transact the business. You see the experienced king is not naive and would use the first opportunity to dangle that ransom in their gullible face and abracadabra the till is open again and the LOOTING continues. We are deep in the woods people. Trust the king, he hits us where it hurts most. Mta do?

  2. i like that minister two and a half. triple meaning really, i.e michuki as a person is two in one (more than) at the same time he is not the third Min of Finance (for kibaki) and yes michuki is holding 2 ministries + more

i guess that should be michuki's legacy, minister two and half.

for all its worth, under a better leader, michuki would have been a fine minister for this country, ditto Karua, ditto Mungatana (on the PNU side that is)

Ironically these are the very same people who can hammer some sense into this old man so that he stops fanning his backside and get back to the business of building kenya.

  4. Ati he can't even hold a mouse...hahaaa. Have you walked into some offices and seen yellow dusty files rising to the roof ati because the officers don't 'trust' computers? well, that is Kenya for you, no need to sumbua the muthee with computer literacy, ya nini. After all McCain vying for the US presidency is in a similar situation.

Some people on this blog must be wondering what kelele is all about. Kama ni experience, he has it having joined the civil service 53 years ago. Kama ni mbeca he has it in plenty, never mind how he got so rich - no doubt by 'waking up early and working hard'.

As someone aptly put it, those who were born when Michuki joined the civil servive are now thinking of retiring next year - nay forced to retire at 55 as Michuki - he of vast knowledge and experience trudges on.

These relics are still in control and look poised to hold on until death. How pathetic can it get.

  6. Ivy, please allow us to complete the mission of 'whacking these old geezer's bottoms'.

Since it's taboo to do that literally, am happy to continue doing it this way.

Raila/ODM sells itself. Which politician in Kenya does that as effortlessly as 'Jakom Agwambo OWAGA AKINY!!'.

  7. Martha Karua was given the green light to stand for 2012 elections b the Nyeri waze the uhuru's so do not be fooled by the uhuru kalonzo saga sources now confirm. kibaki is behind Martha karua 100% - says the source- meetings were held by the nyeri elite with Martha karua to endorse her for the 2012 presidental election. facts
Musyoka Kalonzo and Uhuru are just smoke screens they are in the plot and it is to derail the ODM pundits

Raila if he doesn't have his intelligence to be aware of this by now is a fool!
sources very close to Karua confirm Kibaki and the Old guards of Mt. kenya met with Karua and endorsed her before she held her party manifesto!! this sources was there!
anyone doubting this information is a fool or wants to remain stupid
this is right from the horses mouth.

Uhuru Knows the truth- Kalonzo musyoka?? sorry I'm not sure if he knows the plan of action that he Martha has been chosen to carry the central flag?? if he doesn't then he is a fool too just like Raila-
I don't care what bloggers here will say or attack this post- all i care about is that this are the exact facts and it is the truth-
    all i can say is
the person endorsed to carry the central vote is Martha Karua.

I have more stories on this and the next plan of action they have in place but i think this is enough for those who want to vote for her and those against...

who am I to advise kenyans otherwise- I have the first hand information- you deal or use it the way you want to.

All I know as a fact is Martha Karua has the backing of all the Elite rich kikuyu's in central for the 2012 elections or sooner and money is being collected like no business in kenya and abroad that is all i can say..

  8. Kumekucha (chris) might try to disregard this information

MARTHA KARUA IS THE CHOSEN FUTURE PRESIDENT FROM CENTRAL PROVINCE
FACTS- TRUST ME- i WAS AT THE MEETING WHERE SHE WAS ENDORSED- SINCE THEN SHE HAS HAD SEVERAL MEETINGS WITH KEY CENTRAL PROVINCE PERONALITIES - FROM NYERI, MURANGA, KIAMBU, I MEAN ALL CENTRAL

UHURU IS AWARE AND HAS BEEN FORCED TO SUPPORT THIS CHOICE- MUSYOKA KALONZO IS BEING USED OPENLY TO CONFUSE KENYANS TO SHOW THAT THERE ARE MORE PLAYERS - I BELIEVE HE ALREADY KNOWS AND IS JUST PLAYING THE PART - BUT PEOPLE I WILL REPEAT AGAIN AND SAY THIS AS FACTS MARTHA KARUA HAD TO WAIT FOR AGO AHEAD FROM KIBAKI AND CRONIES BEFORE HOLDING HER NARK-K SESSION WHERE SHE TOOK OVER THE CHAIR-

WHAT I'M WONDERING ARE KENYANS REALLY THAT FOOLISH AS THEY THINK THEY ARE? TO PLOT THIS WAY WITH UHURU AND MUSYOKA KALONZO IF HE DOESN'T KNOW THEN KAMBA'S ARE REALLY FOOLS- BECAUSE TRUST ME MINE ARE FACTS AND ANYONE CAN GO AND CHECK THEM OUT!! THIS IS NO JOKE THIS MARTHA IS THE CHOSEN ONE

BY ALL THE BIG PLAYERS- ALL CENTRAL
WHAT I DON'T KNOW OR CAN'T PROOF IS WHETHER KALONZO MUSYOKA IS AWARE OR THE Meru group- that i can't confirm all i know as facts because i was party to some of the meetings is Martha Karua is the chosen one by central province and Uhuru is in the mix- he knows because he was told by the big wigs

what surprised me is the when he said he was supporting Musyoka that is when i released that they were trying to shift the the glare on Karua to let her organize while using Kalanzo Musyoka like a buffer- where I'm confused is whether Kalonzo Musyoka is in the game???? that I do not know..

  9. Anon @ 9.28pm. I understand there is an opening for another comedian at Redykulass since JK is now an ODM politician. Why don't you apply? Going by your post, you have real talent.

  10. Taabu,

You seem to be perpetually frustrated, unable to appreciate anything Kenyan. Are you still horseless?

At least, I hope you are not missing the tyrany of Kalenjin illiteracy at CBK during Moi. They used to run CBK as a kiosk. At one time they had foreign exchange to last the country just a week, and they had to send a delegation headed by Kulei (prince of illiteracy) to the Persian Gulf countries to plead for some dollars. Or are you missing the fact that Mogotio farmers never used to be paid for their produce and milk. And don't tell me that you are missing the Nyayo House dungeons.

If you miss those days when illiterate directors would cough and spit along the corridors of govt parastatals get over it. They will never come back under Kibaki. Not even under RAO. Uncle Moi is gone for ever and is time you begin appreciating non-Kalenjin presidents.

  11. @12:23. You have said it all very well. I have nothing to add, other than I do feel sorry for some people who ate and ate and ate for 24 years. Lakini wapi sasa? Wamekaa hivyo, hivyo.
By the looks of things, Raila may pull a fast one on them too. Who wants to be associated with a bunch of perpetual genociders and ethnic cleansers? Not Raila, not especially now when he's courting the West.
