Ringera’s Delicious Menu of Tokenism

Aaron Ringera must be livid with rage after Kenyans refused to celebrate his latest CATCH in fight against corruption. That repossession of the glamorous Grand Regency didn’t make the headlines shows Kenyans’ utter contempt dish served to Ringera very cold. Cheeky Ringera is simply reading tokenism from Kibaki's patented script.

The present leadership starting from Kibaki are far behind the ordinary Kenyan. All their goofs are traceable to their outdated 1960s template of effective leadership. According to these grey-haired dinosaurs rulers do the thinking and citizens the listening. How wrong given the present day informed Kenyans?

Kibaki tried it with his 6% economic growth decoy and Kenyan threw it back crashing on his face during last polls which he ended up shamelessly STEALING anyway. Now Ringera is shamelessly re-inventing the wheel of deception and decoy to make the impression of catching grand fraud schemers. Well, Kenyans are smart enough to smell acts that are singularly designed for political expediency. The law being the ASS it is can be flogged by the right handle to create fake ripples that are mere motions bereft of any movement.

Gema tower of babel
Selective amnesia and application of the law is Kibaki’s forte. Even before Kenyans said Kamlesh Pattni Ringera had KACC’s guns pointing at Mudavadi’s head. That would have been a very bold move towards combating corruption were it not for the obvious mistiming. Any pedestrian political observer won’t fail to see the soft political underbelly PNU is busy looking for in ODM. They are simply furthering their propaganda of painting formidable opponents in Raila and Ruto as more polarizing so why not corner a gullible big catch to be paraded as level-headed and acceptable to both sides?

Well, politics is all about wits and intellectual coups. PNU’s perennial reactions to salvos doesn't do them any good besides proving the fact that the party is a headless chicken and Kibaki has never pretended to give it one. The truth remains that ODM is the singular threat that galvanizes PNU into all its shades of unity. Very soon Grand Regency will be in the hands and pockets of few.

The hitherto Chania River divide will soon be compounded by Embu/Meru revolt. As it was during Moi’s time so shall it be after Kibaki's presidency. There is no gainsaying the predictable fallout from within GEMA as PNU's bedrock of support once the presidency leaves the vicinity of Mt. Kenya. The tower of Babel prophecy is simply a matter of when and not if. Maybe things can only remain the same within the circumference of the heads of Kibaki’s foot soldiers.

  1. Politics is all about wits and intellectual coups ....... I could not agree more if only this would apply to everybody and not to a selective group - if you are PNU - it's yours and if you are ODM, you think you have the right to talk for them.

But that's not what it is all about. Why don't you allow people to choose? Why do you publish all these hate comments here?

Did you not live together in peace and even friendship before? Did you not even have family bounderies outside your own 'ethnic' background? Are you not all Kenyans - something many people here are repeatedly pointing out?

Why is is so difficult to 'only' concentrate on the political part of choosing the right leader - the one who not only could but also would honestly be willing to lead the country into a better future?

I wish - or better I pray - that this is still possible.

  3. Gema has a big stomach. And Nation Media Group's wishful thinking is that the big stomach should keep filling up. They are sailing on a boat heading to a waterfall. All Kenyans must enjoy the fruits of Kenya. It's not only Kikuyus who can lead Kenya in terms of ambassadorial positions, PS etc...RAILA must not buckle up on this demand as Nation media has reported. This network reports garbage to Kenyans...They are disgusting...

Kikuyus...Kenya is for all of us...this time...you will be kicked to the curve if and when you make the nation bleed.

  4. If Grand Regency was gotten through corruption, why wasn't The Reverend Kamles 'Paul' Pattni whisked away to jail for fraudulently obtaining and claiming earnings of the hotel? For such a long time?
Kibaki and his goons are doing what other dictators have done before him. The time honored propaganda and selective application of the law. No one believes them, they do not believe themselves it is only sad that a few of their hapless supporters believe in them.

The hideous one promised, a one term presidency, and constitutional change. Those were his first promises which he promptly went a head to break. From that point on, it has been a litany of blunders (Ala General Mathenge... hehehe!), Corruption (Anglo Fleecing& Githongo's dossier). Theft (Elections) and Murder (We ran out of rubber bullets only in Kisumu and we watched people burn in Naivasha). Tribalism (See all top appointments), Lies (6% economic growth decoy, when the only thing growing was ethnic jingoism)

His current corruption drive is only but a laughable desperate attempt to break the spirit of the true leadership of the nation. It will not succeed because like a stupid kid playing hide and seek, he hides in an open place, closes his eyes and thinks that because he sees no one, then no one can see them. Pathetic indeed.

All I can tell the tin pot dictator and the murderous nucleus of bed wetting octogenarians is that; You are have screwed your selves this time and infact, go a head a take a pregnancy test!

Why do you spend a lot of your time bashing PNU and Gema? You said that the only thing galvanising Gema is ODM threat. For you information Gema came into existence during independence struggle. The Gema communities have been bonded by their common political and economic interests for than 50 years, that has not changed and is not about to change.

You also prophesise of Gema disintegration, bring in Meru/embu revolt and Chania river divide. I don’t think you know much about the Chania river divide which was more central province politics in the 70s involving two districts and not the whole Gema.
Please do more research before making sweeping statements. You cannot be expert on the Gema people. Contrary to your prediction, Gema is becoming even stronger with the Akamba people identifying with it

  6. Taabu:

Please read more deeply about GEMA before you let your imaginations run wild. Members of GEMA are a very competative lot and internal competition may appears as discord to outsiders like you. Moi had similarly overated his understanding of GEMA and had gone fishing for Meru and Embu. Despite the goodies he took with him, he left empty handed. You saw what happened when Raila tried to instal Nyagah as a warlord in Embu - he couldn't make any headway. However, I believe that had Raila chosen to patiently work with Kibaki, he would have gotten undivided support from GEMA in the post-Kibaki dispensation. Now, that is water under the bridge and the rupture between him and the community may be permanent; not that it matters.

So, if you don't care about understanding the internal dynamics of GEMA before commenting, at least get current: GEMA has evolved into AGEMA (Akamba, Gikuyu, Embu, Meru, Association) after embracing Akamba. The Akamba and the GEMA people are cousins and have co-existed as neighbors for the last 600 years without any recorded conflict. In fact, the recorded history of their co-operation especially during times of famine is legendary. What is happening now is just a formality. Therefore, it is not an accident that Kalonzo is the principal assistant of Kibaki. Soon you will also witness Mutula Kilonzo playing a very crucial role among the elite of the enlarged community. You need not be overly concerned about the new developments - there is nothing sinister in the offing. After the recent events, there is a new realizaton that in order to foster national unity and harmony Kenyans have to begin at the neighborhood level before expanding the effort to the four corners of the republic - that is, from the known (culturally) to the unknown. I believe that such developments should be encouraged provided they do not run counter to the aspirations of the entire nation.

  8. Am getting abit dissapointed by ODM. In the past the propaganda machine worked and everyone listened. But chris and phil please request for change of tact. PNU could be rising again. ODM henchmen like balala are not making it better, the world seem to be seeing something different from ODM - Just a caution. The diplo speak may not favour odm today. why

    1. Issuing of IDPs could be weighing heavily on ODM. The threats and the fact they are being used as a bait by ODM is not a good idea. Either PNu does this or IDPs ... etc. Advise these guys to either show compassion or cease speaking about them. Abit of international media monitoring will show you this.

    2. Uterances by balala on lesotho while good for local odm consumption are backfiring. The diplos thinks is cessation business. The worst is who is saying it. Add the communication guy in odm, isahakia and the MOU. See what am saying! They comparae with the issue of majimbo, we talked it and we walked the walk. advise on this too.

    3. The HRW report. Dont just dismiss it. Its getting to be a bible for some in the international community. All along people thought the hacking was done by kib people. Truth in RV is getting out.

    4. Hosting kibor and appearing in a newspaper together was a pr disaster for Rao. Hope you know why.

    5. The spin on elections by ruto has been taken out of context. Not sure why kalooser confirmed the same.

    6. There is argumanet gaining currency that real power sharing will create instability in Kenya. Do abit of more internation monitorinf on the same. Some one must hire and fire. This is no acceptable so far on the ground. The fear of duìifferent pulling.

    7. One western power is not viewed as an independent arbiter. The business concerns etc.

Accuse me as pnu symapthiser. But one day am more odm than some of yoiu

  9. Anon 2:29, Pole was Kibor declare innocent or guilty....Convince yourself first then come and convince after that....Being ODM or PNU does n't help...Ask yourself why the IDPs are displaced once you get the answer then we can saidia you, whatever Balala is saying is what is being said by the bloggers here...Balala just confirmed it... You see it fikas a time where by you grow tired...I think some kenyans have reached that level... that for us to move on then we must separate...as the only option...Though personally i believe we still have time to make things right... The truth is you need help and we can't help you?

  10. Anon@2.29am.
I rarely address empty propaganda but this time I shall address the empty points you have raised above. On the surface they seem very deep. But, a dip of my fingers into them, reveals how shallow they are.

    1. When you you say ...'issuing of IDPs could be weighing heavily on ODM...' No one in ODM has threatened IDPs. Please provide a pronouncement from any ODM member. For example, IDPs displaced from central Kenya and else where, were without government help resettled. I am not blind to the fact that life is inhumanly hard for the IDPs and it is stupid that PNU which claims to care for the IDPs drags on the cabinet issue and plays childish games.

    2. Majimbo is a must. As I have said and given examples, central governments are failures. Name any successful central governed country in the world. The only way to avoid corruption and make government smaller is by making central government smaller. As long as there is so much power invested at the central government, we shall continue to fight. Look at Kibaki's tribal appointments and see why other Kenyan communities are tired of marginalization and want more power at the local level. We shall have constitutional federalism or the current de facto majimbo but one way or another power to the people.

    3. HRW report: You conveniently forget that most people were Killed by mungiki or the government forces. It is a morbid exercise counting bodies but do your math. Plus the HRW report is months old, if it is gaining currency, then at this rate, it will be taken seriously in 2020!

    4. Kibor, is innocent until proven guilty. No evidence has been provided and the PNU magistrate could not even show up for such an important case! Raila can not avoid his friends and supporters just because PNU wants to demonize Kalenjin leaders. You will not choose friends for ODM.

    5. I do not know what your are talking about. Bring on the elections right now, make them fair and see if Kibaki can win an election over Raila.

    6. You start with a cliche (...'here is argumanet gaining currency' ...). Sentences started with cliches usually contain nothing and you did not disappoint. All I have read and heard from powers that matter is that, real power sharing must occur. Please give evidence of any nation that is against powersharing.

    7. I advise you that count the number of countries that have recognized Kibaki's victory and see that you are in good company... With Somali and others, Last time I counted they were 6 or 7 of the most pathetic nations in the universe that had congratulated him. That is assuming Somalia is even a nation at all.

You are not a PNU sympathizer, You work for it propaganda wing.

  14. I wish to bring to the attention of fellow kumekucha bloggers a very strange happening thata came to my attention. The people who have been core to this blog who are always pointing fingers at others have been busted.

I have enough evidence to proof this if any of them challenged. Last month four men and two women were involved in a sex orgy at an upmarket nairobi hotel. Taabu & his wife, Chris & his wife, Phil & kalamari. I busted them because i know them well and i happen to read this blog often.

On this particular weekend the six were having drinks at the said hotel untill midnight when they were extremely drunk. They started engaging in indecent acts of publics sexual display and language. When thay were confronted by the management Taabu was so incensed that he started a physical confrontaion. They then retired to the rooms where they stared enganing in wierd sex acts like anal sex threesome and four some. I can confirm this as i have taken time to piece the evidence together. The women could be heard shout all over the hotel.

As if this was not enough the six started walking from one room to the other naked regardless of the other residents in the hotel.

I am now demading that these people apologise or else i release the evidence on the internet. its unfortunate that these people preach water & dink wine.

Chris kindly confirm or deny this so that i can provide evidence.

  22. Taabu,

Sorry to go off the topic, but am quite surprised that the change of heart by ODM on the forty-folio fiasco has gone unnoticed on umekucha. The (designate) ODM Director of Communications, Salim Lone on Friday clearly stated on TV that ODM is no longer interested in having their own PSs, Ambassadors, PCs, DCs, Chiefs, Parastatal Chairmen and CEOs, etc. They clearly changed the tone from 'we must get these positions' to 'we need to be consulted during appointments'. I beg to differ in case you think these two positions are the same.

I think this was a very brave move by ODM towards resolving the cabinet crisis as this will no doubt bring PNU closer to the negotiation table.

But what prompted this change of heart? During the press conference held by Raila and Ranenberger on thursday, it was clear that according to the Americans, what is to be shared is only the cabinet positions. That is why the envoy insisted that both parties should form the cabinet as soon as possible, and then the 'other' issues can be settled once there is a government.

What guys also seem to have missed is that Condi Rice had indicated that US would take stern action on any party they perceived to be responsible for the deadlock. Apparently the visit by Ranenberger helped ODM to change tact.

I might be wrong, but how could Chris, Phil and Taabu miss this?
