Paying the Costly Price of Deception

Proactive leadership amounts to suggesting options out of a deadlock but not in Kibaki’s books. He has out rightly rejected responding to ODM’s letter demanding structured negotiation without asking himself what prompted drafting the letter in the fast place to replace the hitherto face to face talks with Raila.

Trust and goodwill are like virginity, you lose it once and they are gone never to be recovered. John Githongo must have learnt the deceptive ways of our leaders damn fast. No wonder his tapes proved so handy and needed to do very little to authenticate his case. Raila must be wishing he taped his talks with the THIEF-IN-CHIEF. Kibaki’s rants through poodle Mutua is devoid of any moral fabric. He brought the indignity of receiving communications through letter on himself. But expect the scoundrel to shift ground and be reactive at his best when caught deceiving.

Marrionate president
Serial deception is like political opium. It blinds you to reality and only makes you believe in your fraudulent ways oblivious of their unsustainability. Behind the demand for structural negotiation lies the fear and shameless trashing of any agreement reached with Kibaki. Nobody trusts the marionette for you never know what his subordinates will direct him to effect contrary to what he committed himself to. Patience is one virtue that can only be stretched so thin but not when dealing with a certified THIEF with no regard to the people he wants to lord over no matter the cost.

The price of Kibaki’s determination to show political muscle is enormous. The mediation talks at Serena lie in limbo and the message to AU as the sponsoring body is a very depressing one indeed. Even the commission meant to investigate the STOLEN elections cannot take off in the din of the present political heat. But they are not fooling anybody.

Mutula Kilonzo inadvertently let the cat out of the bag when he linked Kibaki’s succession to the present self-induced political stalemate. In Kibaki’s scheme of things the whole Kenya is collaterally just a pawn in the war at his backyard. But not for long, Kenyans will eventually and VERY SOON reclaim their country back from the bloodied claws of the JANJAWEED president ridding on the back of his apologists.

  1. How come your bloggers only write about Kibaki the thief, Kibaki this and that.....> Seems this is an ODM praising site. Is Raila an angel or do you people look the other way as he messes up. Your writers are too biased...i would love to read someone else view who is not ODM Damu. Thanks

  2. There are a lot of blogs that do that. I advise you to go there to avoid any heartache.
So go to another blog that praises Kibaki. And as rule of thumb, the first post on a blog should address the issue and not resort to whining.
The nation newspapers and KBC are a good place for you to go

  4. Anon@3:12 Not all bloggers are Raila worshipers. But there are some extreme cases who are not helping to advance ODM cause. For example, this janjaweed blogger called TAABU is a case of a hired hitman gone berserk with a poison pen. It appears that at the right price you can rent the space between his ears and park it with sh**t. He spews his master's exhaust gases through his pen. He is at his best when laughing at the conditions of the IDPs in the RV. He is educated but is chained by tribal demons of hatred. If you read some of his regular reponses to comments, you will find that he is a trully troubled soul and is not a representative of the majority at Kumekucha.

  5. Anon@3:12 no one has denied you the space to throw your brickbats against ODM. Kumekucha provides the forum and I also thought that everyone is entitled to their opinions and can choose to spew them out at will.

For Anon@3:56 I agree with you that not all Kumekucha bloggers are Raila supporters and I believe that you sound like one of them. What I don't understand is why you always let TAABU's words go unchallenged if you don't agree with them. I want to assume that you are not a troubled soul yourself, an expression you freely use to describe Taabu but one that would aptly be used to describe your personality if I am not wrong. Please consider searching your soul for the right emotional dispensation before you engage your keyboard and you will always save yourself some embarrassments.

  6. One thing i dont understand about the kenya police why do they let themselves be used to suppress the wishes of kenyans. Pressure on kibaki to do the right thing would have been unbearable if one millon people were allowed to march peaceful at uhuru park. Revolution in Ukraine and Romania happened because their police forces refused to use force against peaceful demonstrators.

  8. I do understand the recently alot of mungiki have been recruited into the police but think for a moment, all the tin pot dictators that have ruled our country. From Kenyatta, Moi and now the worst of them all Kibaki. All of the have conviced the police to suppress the aspirations of their fellow citizens. Another thing that all the Kibaki supporter should realise is that if this illegal government survives for five years without meaningful power sharing with the ODM, you can bet that the next kenyan dictator will suppress their aspirations too. This omnious circle of imperial presidents has too end now and we must get a parliamentary system of government with a ceremonial president choosed among high achieving kenyans like Wangari Maathai. A PM can be sacked by a simple majority in parliament and u bet no prime minister will ever misbehave when know that parliament can sack them without going to general election by default

That's why in the legal arena Hon Orengo has a reputation of misrepresenting his clients. He cannot match the wits of Hon Mutula Kilonzo, Wako and Karua.

This is how its gonna play out. Kenneth Marende has announced the seat vacant. there will be a by election in 6 consistuencies and ODM at most will win two,PNU will win 4. your razor thin majority in parliament will evaporate and what does the accord say...the leader of the party and or coalition with majority in parliament will be the prime-minister. Right now you have majority but what about tomorrow?

Embakasi - PNU this time 1 candidate against the DOMOs

Wajir - No tie this time

Kilgoris - Konchella will be back

Kamukunji -1 PNU against the DOMOs

Emuhaya - ODM guy will beat Kalembe Ndile there

  16. Raila is like the guy who goes to a church to get saved and a very sexy, bootylicious and beautiful lady is in front of him in the queue. By the time he gets to the priest, he is unable to hide the raging hard-on under his cassock, and therefore cannot be saved.
It is the same when trying to cooperate with Kibaki, he just cannot hide his lust for power, and that is his biggest weakness. He should take a book from Moi when he was vice President under Kenyatta. Inspite of being undermined by the Kiambu Mafia, Moi pretended to be cooperative and played his cards right, even getting help from Kibaki and Njonjo.
Raila could do the same while serving under Kibaki. The Presidency would be his for the taking in five years.

are you forgeting It was under the watch of Mwai Kibaki at Home Affairs & Internal Security that the police began the worst forms of civilian harassment of government critics. University student and faculty staff were arbitrarily arrested, tortured, detained without trial, and even jailed under flimsy and outrageous charges. Politicians like Raila Odinga and Koigi Wamwere were not spared from the spree of detentions without trial. Many critics fled the country.

so what is new with the way kibaki is handling things?? killing innocent kenyans right and center is like going for breakfast with rucy or wambui the Artur brothers manic- keep harping and convincing your kikuyu self all you want kenyans know very well they have an illegal president whose expertise is murdering innocent kenyan using government machinary!!period

  20. kibaki's legacy -2002-2007 and he continues illegally into 2008

2002 elections paved way for another new conspiracy between President and Minister of Internal Security. This time, President Kibaki and Christopher Murungaru assumed new roles over the police and state machinery.

Not hindered by Kibaki’s campaign pledge to respect human rights, another wave of police brutality, civilian murders by police and political assassinations arrived.

Police clobbered civilian demonstrators senseless, shot and killed defenseless demonstrators including fleeing children who were shot in the back. This also became the era of revival of the assassination industry. Allegedly, the conspiracy oversaw the execution of the murder of a prominent expert on political devolution, the late Dr. Chrispin Mbai. Police cover-up of the assassination was so shoddy that a local newspaper was able to trail the hired assassin in Tanzania.

The sweaty Murungaru, banned from stepping British & American soil was also rejected at the last polls.

Murungaru crushed any attempts to unearth Mbai's assassination, even rewinding Kenya's political clock and reviving the detention without trial era. He promptly ordered the detention of three leading Standard journalists investigating the Mbai murder.

The top two conspirators, Kibaki-Murungaru, made history again when they were caught with their hands in Kenya's coffers, in record setting Shs 200 billion Anglo-Leasing security procurement scandals.

Murungaru has never fully escaped from this scandal, legally speaking. The scandal eventually ended Murungaru's political career and blacklisted him from many Western capitals. Hopefully some day, ex-presidents may also have to answer and account for their actions while in office, as is happening in other more progressive third world countries.

After the November 2005 referendum, a new Internal Security Minister, John Michuki assumed watch over the police force. Never has anyone misused Kenya’s police to orchestrate dirty deals the way Michuki did.

On human rights violations, the Kibaki-Michuki duo proved to be the most lethal combination ever, which brought civilian suffering and bloodshed in extraordinary terms.

it is good that we can all get this information from other people who have posted!!to remind this PNU fools that kenyans are not stupid- we have long long memories!!kibaki will pay for crimes against humanity- many other leader have been made to answer for such crimes - my preference he should get justice from the kenyan people!!ROMANIA STYLE OR HANGED LIKE SADDAM HUSSIEN EVEN THAT IS TOO NICE- HE NEEDS A VERY SLOW DEATH AND HE SHOULD BE GIVEN A LIST OF ALL THE NAMES OF KENYANS HE KILLED TO CALL OUT- AS HE DIES!!

HEY YOU FORGOT MORE DETAILS AND CRIMES OF KIBAKI AND HIS SONS INLAW- WERE THEY RUSSIAN OR PHILPINO'S OR CHOKORA'S????WHO KNOW'S WHICH HOLE THEY CRAWLED FROM!!

The Artur brothers - it is reported allegedly that Margaryan may be slated to become Kibaki's son in law via the president's daughter Winnie.

They executed illegal state sponsored commando operations (state terrorism) that resulted in horror and vandalism of a local newspaper and broadcasting station’s premises.

state-orchestrated rigging of the 2007 presidential elections using the Administration Police (AP), who were publicly exposed in local newspaper photos and reports.

Night-time tranportation of cash-stashed Administration Police into election centers prior to election date was clearly documented with compelling evidence of pre-arranged rigging.

This is also the conspiracy that gave birth to the comprehensively reported post-election violence, which had the police playing a central role - of killing hundreds of innocent civilians, some captured in video camera. This duo of Kibaki-Michuki entered history as Kenya’s most blood-thirsty watchers and “mis-users” of police. Fresh orders for police paraphenalia and regalia had to be sought from China to replace stocks rapidly used to spill civilian blood

The latest Kibaki-Saitoti conspiracy has not hesitated to show their determination to maximize their hold on authority over police. They have purportedly rolled out plans to impose a police-state status in rural Rift Valley, where they intend to dramatically increase police presence. This could be a direct hint at forced resettlement of IDPs using police, with little attention being paid to underlying land disputes of historic nature.

recent police recruitment and transfers have dramatically taken a tribal inclination, with focus being

We are non-violent breakaway group of Jezi la Embakasi.
    Our main aims are,

    1. To oppose any further development of Nairobi and fiercely oppose deforestation of Karura forest, Mtiti Adei, and areas around Ngong.
    2. To defend the rights of the indigenous people in areas of housing, jobs, education, health and business opportunities.
    3. To curb rural-urban migration of non- indigenous people and where necessary to remove them.
    4. To oppose any non-indigenous candidate from standing in all Nairobi constituencies and wards.

We are also hoping to get recogination in political spectrum and to the wider communities of Nairobi.

Nairobi is nerve centre of our economy; it does not need to produce agricultural products to be vital to the economy. It is the commercial centre of the country, all major manufacturing and service and financial sectors are based in the capital city. Incidentally all major government and private organisation are headquartered in Nairobi. Nairobi contributes over 40% of tax revenue

When you do manufacturing, you import raw materials, machinery and equipment and export finished products to regional market. This is common phemnomena with companies in the idustrial area. NMG also said...There was lack of transparency in tallying, Kibaki single handedly named nine commissioners, presidential election results left uncertainity as to who was actually elected president...So stop being lazy and read the whole article..It is only 3 pages...Duh

  44. Anon 4:34...Where does Nairobi get its raw materials....To manufacture you need raw materials...I hope you are getting the picture...Even simple power does not come from Nairobi, so is water...Financial advise is given to people who are the HR as i mentioned earlier so banks follow people...not people following banks..If there are no people then you can as well constipate with your financial advise!!!!Coz of goodwill among the provinces Nairobi is able to operate..If we lock Nairobi out of Kenya for example...Will it still be generating 40% revenue...Think then give a satisfactory answer...wacha kubeat around the bush

  45. Anon 4:34...You have mentioned BAT...That is tobacco obviously from Kuria..Just what if we build a BAT in Kuria District..Will the BAT in Nairobi still be functioning?

  46. IVY,

My focus is on what caused the precious lives of more than 1,300 lives. Do not tell me its the wrong tallying, stolen election, No! That was the excuse of the murderous people.

Moi stole elections for more than two decades. Now tell me why tribal clashes never arose from the stolen elections?

Why do you want to hide behind this politicians and classify them as this one, is bad. This one, good. This Raila, god. If they began the debate and the debate caused ethnic polarization which sparked post election violence, why try to protect them? All politicians are very much the same. There 's an English saying that goes.. as futile as finding an honest man in parliament.

"I personally like ethnic tension, it has made us examine what is wrong with us"

    Get a life.

If you look at my post @ 3;03 I said no province is self sufficicient and we are interdependent.I can see you agree by saying Nairobi operate due to the goodwill of other provinces.

I dont think you can lock out Nairobi because you also depend on it. You need a market to sell you raw materials and source of finished unless you have a cheaper alternative

  48. Mr Gump ...Well well kenyans have had tribal issues but it only gained milage and fuel when kifucky admin started creating an impression that gava belongs to gema that is the genesis of the haterade, the rigging the violence, even the failed new constitution. There was loud bosting from gema that they onwed us the apes the rest of keny a that is ....ODM did not need to preach it. Look at the distribution of key ministries, the anglo fleecing the githongo story of being told to shut up......wacha selective memory....kenyans are not stupid to start hating cause RAO says so.......I had discousre with alot of kuyos 1 yrs into the the theifs admin and they were already talking about 'purging' the military there was a strategy to colonise kenya.....this is not a story i was told I held conversation with these guys.....so don't go blaming anything on RAO/ODM......u asked for it and you got it ..in my opinion u deserve worse. When the rest of us were trying to build a nation for everyone you concentrated on conning everyone else.....that kind of thinking gets peopl realy pissed its called betrayal....

It is the investor’s decision on where to locate to their factory, they take into account many factors such as proximity to sources of raw materials, markets skilled labour good infrastructure other dependent industries. If some cases the proximity to source of raw material is not major consideration so long as it is economic to transport

People come to Nairobi because it offers them job and business opportunities. That is why there ia rural to urban migration, they can only leave Nrb if they had better options.

What we are envisioning the completly unlikely and hypothetical a situation were non kyks, maasai n kambaas are forced to leave nbi.....they will simply creat another city....dah or grow mombasa.....as a acapital of the rest of kenya....port cities have advantage over inland cities any time....

I agree with you that it is a hypothetical situation and i believe we dont need to go that. All the cities in Kenya are built on resources generated from all parts of the country. The JKIA airport and MSA port happen to be in those locations not because the locals or the original inhabitants built them. They belong to all Kenyans.

  54. What's in a name?ODM called it majimbo/ugatuzi.PNU called it ...can't remember-but it was point no.10 in their manifesto. At no time did ODM talk of evicting non-indeginous communities.
PNU waged an anti majimbo campaign but Kenyans(read non-Gema)voted for them.In other words Kenyans supported majimbo and ODM.
The GEMA community felt that they will be asked to return to their origins yet they have invested time and resources outside Mt.Kenya region. They knew the settlements were done unfairly by Kenyatta (from 1963)and since they have 'lorded over'the original inhabitants-they would be trouble.
Look carefully at office behaviour of the PANUAS-they shamelessly use their dialects whenever possible and gang up to dominate others.
Have you noticed they refer to other communities in a derogatory manner as they frown - njaruo, ikaba, mbaruya, githii?

Kenyatta used to chair cabinet meetings in Kikuyu and I strongly believe Kibaki has been doing the same since January this year.
Hope you now understand the root cause(s) of the venomous slaying (post election violence)of the Kikuyus in Rift Valley and other areas.
They did not need a Ruto to ignite them-Kibaki and his cronies had already sprayed kerosene on a burning tanker.

  55. TAABU and all you ODMERS: ODM also rigged in the election, so that man of yours aint no saint. If you had watched news think you should have caught a statement to the effect that it was difficult to know who won..so let me explain to you, seems you need to be..the whole thing was flawed due to BOTH sides rigging. In effect all your insults on Kibaki being a thief should also apply to Raila.
    p.s
KIkuyus have no problem leaving in Nai and Central..we'll still be successful no matter what all you haters do..even if you try to kill us like you did. Money makes the world go round..where will guys get cash(n dont say loan or borrow from those thugs from the West ama tutakosana) to build these other nairobis when all kuyos have the cash?

Did you ever thinks that may there are not too many people proud of PNU, hence they seem to be in shame and hiding?
