Prescribed Change, Kibaki to be Re-sworn

Pains from the political standoff witnessed in Kenya for the last 100 days have blinded us from seeing the BEAST who plunged us into this hole in the first place. Today we are busy addressing the sideshow which is a product of another facade called peace accord. Dutiful Kenyans have all over a sudden rediscovered that the word lean is incomplete without tagging real and clean alongside it.

The plastic sigh of relief when Raila announces a deal on 40-member strong cabinet is deceptive at best. Poor man! He has to dance with wolves for a piece of pie that was rightfully his but had no CLAWS to claim in the first place. The musical chairs and indignation witnessed so far will not end soon. The new cabinet will be a house at war with itself. The bottle that is Kenya will always remain tensed at as the old and new wine inside fight hard to shape disharmony.

Cabinet with 50% MPs
Kibaki brought upon us and he is not done with us yet. Dragging all elements of the peace deal is just part of the game plan. The accord was forced onto the vote thieves and they signed with the singular intention of not honouring it. The 35-days anxiety in naming the cabinet was only the preface to the long drawn war of foot dragging and pussyfooting that will succeed in exhausting any soul left standing.

The next port of frustration will be immediately after naming the cabinet. After the propaganda on Ruto failed to gain steam, the calculative power brokers won’t fail to mint a bolt in need of their political spanners. Annan threw the same fake dossier through the window when it was presented to him as evidence to kick Ruto out of Serena negotiations. After doing unproductive cyber rounds it will surely find ready lips in the likes of Mwangi Kiunjuri, Peter Munya and Mungatana.

Negotiating with rapist
Kenya is i a class of her own with more than 50% MPs in cabinet soon. Imagine we have 40 full cabinet ministers for a 33 million population and a GDP that is shameful to even put on paper while developed Germany with 89 million has 14 only ministers. And even arriving at that obscene number required Annan’s external prodding? Meanwhile we are expected to have our hearts jump out of our chest in jubilation when Kibaki fools us with a statement claiming that both parties were pleased with the outcome of the discussions in the spirit of give and take. My foot! How simple words acquire political meaning of their own outside the English dictionary?

Kenyans are paying the ultimate price of a stolen revolution. We did our part by voting but after that we were collectively raped and forced to negotiate with the rapist to return our under garments. Elusive Kibaki brought all these upon us and he is determined to have it stay like that. Meanwhile people shamelessly absolve him by blaming his cronies. Martha was face of bravado and brinkmanship at the Serena negotiations. So who pray is holding Kibaki himself hostage? Well, we are stuck with this thief like pest feeding on our blood to the last drop.

PS: I need help please. Now that Annan, heads of State and other dignitaries will be invited for the Saturday April 12 swearing ceremony at Uhuru Park, will Kibaki be sworn in for the THIRD TERM or only in Kenya do we RE-SWEAR following theft? Any explanation out there?

  1. I just cannot restrain my laughter. I am laughing at all those Kenyans who formed enmity with others ati because they are NOT supporting Raila. ODMers went to all lengths to show that Raila is a new breed of politician, that he will deliver, that PNU is full of fake people and such other NONSENSE.
Now, ODMers, let me introduce you to Raila Odinga--The ENIGMA. You cannot understand him and you cannot put him in your box to manipulate.
Ati the future is orange--ha, the future is 40 ministers.
Ati we will not accept anything less than the presidence, sitarudi nyuma--ha, Prime-Minister DESIGNATE.
Ati we will NOT buy Safaricom shares coz ODM says dont buy; in the meantime, all other tribes esp. the hated but wise Kikuyus go to buy the shares, then Raila makes an about turn (while the call for Mass Akson from the Prof, is still on his lips) and Raila ADVISES Kenyans to buy the Shares--then all ODMers go ahead to buy the shares...I think by now ODMers have had a taste of what LUOs have been getting...being tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine from Raila.
    Remember, Agwambo is an ENIGMA!!

  2. What on earth is wrong with Raila, PNU have taken both finance and internal security among other key ministries. At a time when there is a lot of international pressure on Kibaki to ensure that there is equal sharing of key ministries; there is absolutely no excuse for what Raila has done. This is not a one off incident it is part of a wider trend of unjustified decisions that seem to flatter the status quo

We have to wonder what on earth is going on. ODMers it's time to see the light Raila's time has come and gone. We dont have to look further than the current pentagon/hexagon members

  3. Barama why do you sound more like saffocating from your own bile? Your glee is misplaced. You premise your take on wise and fools right? How I wish you would make your arguments qualify you for the former group. But alas you are slithering back on your vomit in the belief of beauty of secuty of numbers.

In retrospect you paint the same people you are hailing as guilty by latently accepting the ills they commit. You have perfectly measured to your banana syllable. Two wrongs never made a right and in this case only one chap is serially wrong. Pole lakini it didn't and will never wash. Leta ingine, that is old hat.

  4. 40 ministers for a 33 million population and a GDP that is below poverty line globally? "It`s shameful to even put on paper", while developed Germany with 89 million have 14 ministers.

These two people are holding Tax payers hostage.

They need to be eliminated in one way or another.

  5. Yo Taabu listen,
Go easy on Barama, he is making this point-RAILA IS NOT DIFFERENT from the PNU politician you love to loathe. Someone pointed out that there are only two kinds of people in Kenya, the Ruled and the Rulers.
ODMers love to think Raila is part of the Ruled...SORRY, SORE SANA. HE is part of the RULERS. and so, Taabu, get it over with.
ODMers and your vile rhetoric, Shame on you! Accept that your "savior" Raila took you for a ride, the only once again!!!. The only people enjoying are his family-Ida, Fidel Castro, Raul Castro and Winnie Odinga

  7. It is a measure of how entrenched the interests of Central are that they could steal the elections and then attempt to dictate the terms of Cabinet. If it takes 10 more appointments for 2 years to bring the two sides to work together, then so be it.

Agwambo is moving forward, perhaps not at the pace most would prefer, but nonetheless in the right direction. This war will be won, one step at a time.

I rarely comment on PNU-like myopic views, but, for you I will make an exception.
...'These two people are holding Tax payers hostage'
I wonder why you and other PANUANS lump Raila and Kibaki together. One person stole the election, shot people and is in office illegally. One person is the dictator of the nation. Only one person is holding you by the proverbial short hairs.
Not two, only one. One person is the reason you are in an IDP... The ugly one

  11. The Constitutional changes are the ultimate prize. You have to set your eyes on it. The only way to achieve this is first to get the government in place, 40 ministries or not. When we go back to the polls it will never be the same. PANUAs, this is a bitter pill to swallow and we all know it. NO MORE STEALING ELECTIONS, the presidency will be like a mirage to Mt. Kenya because they have been undressed for who they truly are, mapambano bado.

EXCUSE ME, HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO BE POOR AND MISORABLE WHILE POLITICIANS ARE GETTING RICHER AND RICHER? I SUGGEST THAT ALL KENYANS AND ESPECIALLY THE KUMEKUCHA BLOGGERS LET US FORM A POLITICAL PARTY AND THROW THESE SELFISH PNU AND ODMERS OUT COME 2012.

  13. Baraka, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Even if Kumekucha bloggers form a political party and throw these selfish PNU and ODMERs out, it will be just the faces changing, nothing more than the faces and names. Would you take a pay cut as a minister or MP? You have to totally wipe out a generation and its thought process and instill NATION before SELF, COUNTRY before PRIDE, US before ME to achieve that utopian goal.Human nature in and by itself is geared toward self preservation. As they say, if you cannot beat them, join them.

350b to sustain 40MPs as ministers 80MPs as assistants. On top of the other amounts required to sustain "mere" backbenchers. This is about providing fuel guzzlers, office space, security detail, and other fringe benefits and pocket change.

whereas 31b is budgeted for 800,000 IDPs to resettle them and provide them with some basics. folks lets face it, God left kenya in 2003.

  22. something smells rotten with this Mt Elgon operation with police and army- guys- kenyans are joking- if what i saw on this video is what happened then i advice the IDP's never to step in the Rift Valley- because i since the anger from the ordinary Kenyans on ground- the word going around is they send the army and police to kill and torture us in pretense they were looking for raiders and we become the victims- our wounds will heel - but saitoti be knowing that what we will unleash will go beyond central province!!

Kenyans I ask again what has Saitoti done?? if this is a speck on this video of what he has done to those people then that peace full hand shake you saw is nothing-
we are in for a rude shock!!
Now i understand why they were after Ruto?? I saw the press interview Ruto gave and he said this!! let the army and the police in MT ELGON STOP KILLING AND TORTURING INNOCENT KENYANS EVEN WOMEN?? HOW CAN THEY EXPECT THE SABOAT RAIDERS WHO COME TO KILL THE SAME PEOPLE IN THE VILLAGES TO BE HIDING IN THE SAME VILLAGES?? WHY ARE THEY NOT GOING TO MT. ELGON ITSELF WHERE THIS RAIDERS ARE KNOWN TO HIDE??? THAT IS THE QUESTION RUTO POSED-

SAITOTI SHOULD BE STRIPPED OFF THE SECURITY
MINISTRY WITH IMMIDIATE EFFECT- I SWEAR I MYSELF CAN PAY FOR A SMALL ARMY TO TAKE ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE DONME THIS TO INNOCEWNT KENYANS OUT- THIS IS HOW STRONGLY I FEEL YET I DON'T EVEN HAVE A RELATIVE IN MT. ELGON?? SO HOW DO YOU IMAGINE THE RESIDENTS OF THIS PLACE FEEL?? TORTURE UNTIL THE SKIN LOOKS LIKE A CROCODALES BACK!!

IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE NO !NO!NO!! THAT COULD HAVE BEEN MY REAL BROTHER IN THAT VIDEO- BUT I CAN CALL HIM MY KENYAN BROTHER-
SAITOTI AND KARANGA MAJOR OR WHAT EVER HIS NAME IS HEAD OF TRHE ARMY AND ALI HAVE A CASE TO ANSWER!! THIS IS REDUCLES-
WE ARE BUSY TALKING ABOUT CAINET POSITIONS AND WE HAVE A BOMBSHELL WAITING TO HAPPEN IN OUR BACK YARD?

LOOK AT MOMBASA ROAD - KILLING GOING ON LIKE A MARKET PLACE- NO SECURITY TOO AND IT LIKE PLANNED THE NEIGHBOURS SAID AND BLOCKED ROADS!! NO !NO!! KENYANS WE CARES ABOUT ODM OR \PNU WHEN THE SECURITY IS BEING USED TO OFF SCORES BETWEEN PNU AND ODM AND IT IS LEAVING BLOOD FLOWING ALL OVER THE SOIL OF KENYA?? WHO WILL THIS TWO LEADERS RULE?? SAITOTI STOP KILLING KENYANS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!

HERE IS THE VIDEO AGAIN I JUST COPIED IT FROM THE PERSON WHO POSTED IT HERE- KENYANS WITH BRAINS SHOULD HAVE A LOOK!!

  23. oh no this is indeed shocking i had not seen that news- can someone do that to a person? are this people animals or what??that poor mans back is like layers of scales from torture!! how can this possibly happen in kenya?? i thought the days of nyati house were gone??

someone has to answer!!!I'm kenyan and i demand an answer- i never believed in gangs protecting people but if the police and army can do this to ordinary kenyans- then kenya security is horse shit and i will encourage kenyans to form their own small armies to protect themselves-

saitoti is the minister for internal security and i'm a kikuyu i swear i doubt if ever kikuyu's will be welcome in the rift valley- idp's better go back to central- how can they be welcome back if this is what was done to this people?? the video says many were tortured and killed???? how can this be possible??
did the state use the vacuum that was in place to commit crimes against humanity?? that means the ordinary people of kenya??if that is the case then I'm officially withdrawing my vote from kibaki today!!!I'm a kikuyu from Nyeri and I'm not a killer and I do not advocate any such crimes- when the people Kenyans expect to protect them (police and army) turn on then instead and torture and kill them^^^^ how can i support such brutality???

    ReplyDelete
  24. WHAT?? DID PEOPLE SEE THAT VIDEO??? THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN KENYA?? HOW CAN WE LET THIS HAPPEN?

IS POLITICS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE LIVES OF OUR PEOPLE?? I GUESS PEOPLE ON KIMEKUCHA WILL FIND IT BORING TO DISCUSS SUCH CRIMES OF HUMANITY AND SHAME ON YOU ALL?? MAYBE YOU ARE NOT IN THE COUNTRY- BUT REMEMBER YOU HAVE CHILDREN SOME OF YOU THEN GRAND CHILDREN WILL COME ALONG?? WHO KNOWS WHERE THEY WILL END? MAYBE WITH A YOUNG MAN FROM MT. ELGON- THIS GOES BEYOND ANYTHING I COULD EVEN IMAGE-
THEN WE HAVE A MINISTER OF SECURITY CALLED SAITOTI WHO IS WALKING AROUND LIKE A KING AND MURDERING PEOPLE IN MT. ELGON RIGHT LEFT AND CENTER.

RAILA ODINGA WHY ARE YOU ALLOWING THIS? WHAT IS THE POINT FOR THAT POSITION WHEN YOU CAN'T PROTECT THE SAME PEOPLE THAT VOTED YOU IN YOU FOOL!! RAILA UNTIL YOU BRING IN SAITOTI FOR QUESTIONING !! YOU ARE A LAME PRIME MINSTER !!HOW DARE YOU SHAKE HANDS WITH A SMILE WHEN TORTURE IS HAPPENING AT YOUR BACK YARD??
BELIEVE ME THIS IS GOING TO BE A WAR IN IT SELF- A KIND OF WAR THAT WILL BLOW UP IN EVERYONES FACE WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT!! ATI COALITION GOVERNMENT- SHAITE GOVERNMENT ALL OF YOU HAVE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS- KIBAKI FOR SENDING SAITOTI TO KILL ORDINARY KENYANS IN MT ELGON IN THEIR VILLAGES INSTEAD OF THE SABOAT RAIDERS WHO HAVE TERRORIZED THE SAME VILLAGERS FOR YEARS(DOUBLE AGED SWORD) AND RAILA ODINGA FOR LETTING IT HAPPEN WITHOUT GOING TO THEIR DEFENSE PUBLICLY- BOTH OF YOU ENJOY YOUR LAST YEAR IN OFFICE- YOU WILL NOT GET BACK IN I PROMISE YOU THAT!! YOU BOTH HAVE SHOWN KENYANS THAT YOU PREFER POWER TO THE LIFE OF KENYANS AND YOU BOTH HAVE USED ORDINARY KENYANS IN YOUR QUEST TO GET IN POWER AT WHATEVER COST-

  25. minister of security needs to be questioned on the Mt. Elgon operations???this does not look good at all???didn't i read in the standard today that he is refusing on the security position?? seeing that video then i guess saitoti has major crimes of humanity to hide!!kenya was not at war with it's won people so why on earth did this army and police use such torture on kenyans?? where is the rule of law here?? are we using the law of the jungle??
can some please explain this or is every one on kumekucha a pnu supporter and think this does not torch them??so then you agree that if the next party wins the election and it the opposition to PNU they should come to central province and use the same methods?? it is called pay back time and I swear to you ir will happen- if you guys don't wake up and put blame on the right people ! your whole community of central province that you think is well protected will suffer!! even it it takes 10 more years- they will just bring in the army and the police the same way you did in Mt. Elgon and they will torture and rape your brothers sisters and members of your family-
if you central province people are seeing that far then you better stand up and talk against it- and let the individuals like saitoti who commanded it to be answerable but not your whole community down the road on a revenge mission ?? you might think wacha we are safe now and it happened far in Mt. Elgon- but you are wrong- the sons of Mt.elgon maybe president sooner or later and if your people or a group of elite power hungry people from your tribe killed and tortured their family- it will be pay back time and the same army and police will be in Nyeri, Muranga, kiambu, e.t.c and they will revenge- that is how human mind works!!

I think a few individuals were behind all this killings and torture of innocent people for revenge-so you work it out!!all i know they are saying kikuyu's killed their relatives !! the label says kikuyu- but it is not all kikuyu's that did this act- but try telling a villager that??

Saitoti should be questioned by the kikuyu's themselves those who can see further than what is happening now! that is my take on the situation!

  31. Barama, am sure that is what pnu might also have been wishing. To carry out as much impunity as they can before the coalition government is formed and to place as many hurdles in the way of forming the coalition government. But you know what, thank God for well-meaning Kenyans in ODM, international organizations and civil societies for seeing far. At the end of the day Kenyans will not fume/give up and let them (pnu clique) have the country.

Sometimes i give it up to Raila and co because now more than ever i think they have mastered the kind of cheap games the other side are playing. Anything to delay things eve only by a second. When somebody said these guys had been acting for 5 years, as in pretending to be good, meaning well for Kenya, i dismissed it as a lie. Now am absolutely convinced because i do not understand what they took the country through immediately after voting and to make matters worse they have sustained it quite well.

I have been a supporter of amnesty, as in whoever takes over leadership does not follow-up the predecessors but i now think otherwise. I think presidents should be questioned after they retire on their conduct during the period they were in office. With the kind of impunity we are seeing it is only fair to hold someone responsible even if that justice to Kenyans is delayed.

Kibaki and co must understand that Raila is not coming into government to spy on them. He would do that quite well in the opposition. So they should stop taking the extreme obviously unacceptable/unaffordable/unworkable/unreasonable/obcene/scandalous position on everything expecting Raila and wananchi to naturally take the other extreme, after which they "compromise" and accept to meet in the middle. Watu watachoka with these standard three games, and we dont want to go back to chaos. What language, pray, does Kibaki and co undestand?

  32. Did I not tell you just a few days ago that as soon as Raila is getting the Ministry of Energy, the deal is done? And it is confirmed now. And then comes the prestigious Foreign Affairs which will include International Cooperation. So he can sign his Agreements with those countries and those companies favourable to his own pockets - or should I say: signing Kenya into his own pockets because it will be Kenyans who will pay for all this. And still, his followers prefer to close their eyes and still hope that it is all just a bad dream. Wake up, Kenya is lost. Your 'messiah' has cheated you and will continue doing so. I do not absolve Kibaki either, but I see here two men of the same calibre. Only difference: one has been involved actively in the death by giving the order 'shoot to kill' - and the other has the same guilt by allowing and even instrumenting his followers to go out and get killed. Not to mention all those hundredthousands IDP's - here the guilt lies on both of them. But does any of this bother them? No, not one second. And here lies the biggest shame and it lies on all Kenyans who prefer to close their eyes.

  34. What do you mean with 'donors'? This money has to be paid back. There is no present given for free in this world. Go and check the foreign debts Kenya has and you will see. 37. I am a Kenyan Taxpayer, pained to have to spend so much money to massage the ego of our follish politicians.
I do not worship RAO, but I think the bloggers are being unfair to suggest that he could single handedly decide on size of cabinet??
Remember this whole thing has come from really far:
    -Kibaki stole elections
-Hid in the cover of darkness and wsore himself in.
-Said this was an internal problem and laughed at the idea of mediation.
-Refused( through Karua) that the constitution was supreme and we cannot amend to accomodate a premier- does anyone remember?
-Annan got so pissed off and told them off along with other partners & ordinary Kenyans.. Anyone with me?
-Eventually the guy says ok to the National accord- he he all smiles blah blu blah..
-Now we think we are going somewhere.. Then fliers appear in parliament- we do not need two centres of power.. Ai tena?
-People even give threatening messages during the debate .. alah.
-We think we are home free then they refuse no we need 44 ministers including one to implement the vision 2030 and in charge of the( Mayor/city?) of Nairobi... kwani ?

If you look at this pattern, this guy stole elections and had no wish to share the stolen govt. So he was using everything within his means to sidetrack the process.

I hate it that I have to pay all those stupid buggers, but if they can give us a new constitution and other neccessary institutional reforms so we do not have the top up culture in future- I'm willing to pay the price!
I'm hopeful RAO and ODM will push this agenda- at least so they give Wananchi some hope back.
