As Kenyans Continue With Their Petty Tribal Squabbles…

Wanjiku Tells Us Why the Kikuyu Are Deeply Ashamed Of Mungiki

I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all
. Ecc 9:11

Why Tom Mboya’s shadow still looms larger than ever across the country and in the US

History is clearly about to made in the United States as Kumekucha predicts that against all odds, Senator Barack Obama will win the democratic party nomination for president and go on to win the presidential race in November.

The amazing thing is that it would never have happened without the help of the two gentlemen seen in the photograph above who eventually ended up being both victims of an assassin’s bullet. It was the famous airlifts of the 60s initiated by Tom Mboya with the help of the then president John F. Kennedy that landed senator Barack Obama’s late father in the United States as a student. The rest as they say is history.

If TJ were to come back today and be told the amazing story leading up to the White House that started right at his door step, the most likely reaction would be for him to chuckle in that affectionate sincere way those close to him knew. But there is no doubt that he would have been utterly amazed at what his humble airlifts had done for the entire continent.

The really bizarre thing about all these developments concerning senator Obama is the fact that while the rest of Africa celebrates the fact that a man fathered by an indigenous African born in humble surroundings at the heart of Africa, is about to ascend to the most powerful office in the whole world, in Kenya support for the senator is split along tribal lines. For example while Kenyans living in Kisumu cannot get enough of Obama whom they consider to be one of them, many in Central province in the very same country would prefer a Hillary Clinton win for the democratic party and the presidency of the United States, not because they like wazungus but simply because of the part of the country where Senator Obama’s father came from. In other words there are too many Kenyans who do not look at the Senator as of Kenyan descent but instead as a man whose father was a Mujaruo.

That is how far down Kenyans have sunk, folks.

And yet if Obama were to be elected president the entire continent would benefit greatly. Not because President Obama would concentrate on Africa. Far from it, he will be kept busy serving the good people of America who will have elected him. But Africa will benefit because for the first time in history the occupant of that high office will be somebody who understands Africa extremely well.

Or let me put it in another way. He will surely be the only president of the United States ever who slept on a couch in a low class Nairobi estate at his step sister’s place in an effort to fully understand his roots. Many in the Kenyan cabinet have not had any such experience.

Let’s get our senses back, dear Kenyans before it is too late.

Oh, and about the scripture from the Bible that I quote above, it is the verse yours truly used in sending an appeal to the senator through his site to stand for the Presidency of the United States at a time when he looked like he had little chance of going anywhere with such a campaign.

P.S. The Grand coalition cabinet was sworn in today at State House Nairobi after which they were all invited for lunch by the president. In public they are all talking about service delivery and addressing the problems of unemployment, but in private the usual things are happening. Last week a bizarre incident happened where an aide to one of the cabinet ministers affiliated to the ODM side of the grand colaition was going around soliciting for information on how to supply some particular highly technical products and services to a certain minister. Almost four days later on Sunday, my source could not believe their ears when the very individual was named to that very ministry his aides were seeking supply information on. What does that tell you? Simply that the same old supply games are being played in the government ministries, only this time the problem has been multiplied by a staggering 41 cabinet portfolios.

Love blossoms into the most unlikely couple

I am not sure they will not take him down, the same way the "benefectors" you talk about were!

  8. That's so refreshing. Like I've mentioned here before (and almost got shot), Mungiki is purely a Kikuyu issue. Dont believe that excuse of no jobs, low education, poverty etc. The entire apparatus is based on distorted ideas of tribal and cultural superiority.

That said, the complicit police and complicit Kikuyu politicians and fundraisers like Uhuru will never be able to completely shut down Mungiki. As we ponder and pretend to appear astounded, a couple of heads have been dropped in Nyeri and a few nursery school going Kikuyu female children have been circumcised by use of blunt tools.

The only way Mungiki is going to retreat to oblivion is when the regular Kikuyu folk out rightly denounce it (good job Wanjiku). I say this because every Kikuyu man and woman either know or are related to at least one Mungiki. To the very least, they have suspicions or have heard rumors of where these idiots congregate within their village. With this knowledge, the Kikuyu know who and where they can meet these folk to convince them to drop that Mungiki life of the devil.

By now all towns in Central should be overwhelmed by anti-Mungiki demonstrations. Why is that not the case? Well, it could be prime fear or the affinity to one's own headbut I think it's just a sense of the security of having a private tribal rag-tag army. Yes folks, some folks are very proud of Mungiki.

Nice work of fiction....but atleast I got some laughs out of this fantasy!

  10. Chris, about Obama. Yes sir, I occasionally sip that beer. We are not going to solve the anti-Obama Central province phenomena today but I will tell you what I think was probably his biggest flaw.

I'm sure you are tired of reading this issue about the bigot Rev. Wright but seriously though…..if your goal is to one day run for president of the USA i.e. of every white, black, blue and red American, would you try your level best to avoid characters like that Reverend? To make matters worse, why did he allows his young impressionable children to sit through church services where this idiot spewed hate MB-style?

You see, should he make it to the WH, is it possible that he may appoint Rev. Wright the WH chaplain? Do you already see the effective negative campaigns??

Prediction: He will win the DNC but will loose the presidency. By the way, American whites always answer positively or politically correctly when polled on race issues or off-white candidates. They speak their truth at the ballot. In other words don’t rely on polls when it’s a black or white thing.

  16. When Jeff Koinange commented on the black and white issue he must have thought about himself. Just like Obama also Jeff denounced his Kenyan roots to become American and holding an American Passport.

So much to being proud of being Kenyan.

  17. @Anon 10.02 you miss the boat by a river. Obama was born an American and remains so unlike Jeff who denounced being Kenyan to acquire the papers by marriage. So please stop untruths. Obama owes the name to his father who who left (infact ABANDONED) hii with his American.

you have to be really think or foolish to write such a comment!! when did obama denounce his kenyan citizenship?? did he ever have one??
go read Obama's history before you spew lies and dirty on here!! i guess kikuyu's will never give up tarnishing peoples name and please do not try to insult my intelligent pretending you are a luo married to a kikuyu!!!go get your facts right!!this is such shiate! i hate small minds!!just looking to score a point even uses lies!!

  19. Anon 10:02 - you are right. Jeff only came back to lick his wounds inflicted by a certain mzungu white woman. He should feel ashamed of himself and instead of crying to the world like he did in that Adam interview, go out and help his country and its people - those who have given him a job when nobody around the world did. But I think, a Kikuyu remain being a Kikuyu (especially when one carries the notorious name Koinange) believing that he owns Kenya.

    ReplyDelete
  20. What cheap logic stemming from EVEN ODM RIGGED. Now Jeff is like Obama by denouncing Kenyan citizenship. The truth couldn't have been any clearer. Obama and Jeff are very different in status and origin. Take off the tribal lense in name and speak the truth. Jeff is Kenya and Obama is American by birth, period.

  21. Blogger Taabu said...

thank you taabu- do educated them more, not sure why they embarrass themselves posting here lies or not facts when even 5th graders everywhere in the world know Obama has alway been an American citizen from birth:) it is just like a kikuyu to compare Obama with Jeff - so as to rub off some Obama fame:):) that i call sicko!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. taabu - you are right about Obama - he was born in the States and that's why he can enter the Presidential race - Jeff was born in Kenya but spent most of his life outside trying to become a member of the 'white' class - as somebody in this Adam Interview right described it: like a coconut: being brown on the outside, but white on the inside.
And that's why and how the two differ: one (Obama) does not hide his African roots, on the contrary he is proud for being what he is. And then there is Jeff Koinange. Who like many others of his kind, feel ashamed of being 'black' and who are willing to sell their souls to become members of the socalled white society. That's why his own family took distances when he married a (white) woman - 20 years older than himself, thinking that this gives him the key to finally enter the 'white' world. What a shamk.

And just in case you wonder how I know about all this: go to mariannebriner.distantlover.blogspot/com - and you will find all the details.

I had sent a mail to mariannebriner@hotmail.com and she responded immediately in sending me the complete Distantlover script.

After having spent a sleepless night in reading all these more than juicy mails exchanged between the two, I can assure you it is worth it.

Seeing Jeff Koinange - the dreadlocked man on K24 - is one thing. But reading his sexual phantasies expressed to a woman who easily could have been his mother, is something totally different.

  23. Ok

I finally cede. There is Kumekucha blog for political events in Kenya. And then there is Kumekucha circus or haunted house where the entertainers or star actors (award winning) are Jeff Koinange, Marianne Briner, Sam Okello and occassionaly Hellen Okello. Even when a simple topic like riding bicycle is discussed, one of these guys or their minions will find a way to squeeze in their "love gone sour" never ending soap opera. KK could you kindly start a separate channel for that soap opera

  24. Why does not somebody of these courageous people posting comments here like Chris, Taabu, Sayra, PKW and all the rest go and address JK - the man behind K24, a pure Kikuyu outlet. Would be more than interesting to hear what he has to say now after having taken refugee in his homeland Kenya. Ask him also when he finally denounces his American Passport. I am sure you will be surprised about his reply: total silence because a man like JK is not a man - he is a prostitute serving men and women alike. And this is why and how he differs from Obama: one is an intelligent, honest man - the other is ........... (I leave this space to be filled out by you after having read the blog mariannebriner.distantlover.blogspot.com/).

  25. Some people never cease to amuze me. We, including the Kikuyu Kenyans in the USA are viewed as pariahs for the mere fact that we are black. Folks in Kenya, this is the reality of the situation. Many of us were made to make these journeys in search of opportunities that our motherland denied us. Now,if the same people who are loathed here will side with Clinton over Barack then I have no words. As a matter of fact, those in Central who are supporting Clinton are nothing but sell outs. In America the African-Americans will look at you in the face and call you IDIOTs. Ever wondered why African-Americans have no respect for Africa? You are always first to praise anything non-black. Where is your pride?

Jeff Koinange is a shame to the world and to Kenya.

  29. There a learned friend of ours who commented i quote "Mungiki are listed in the encyclopedia of anthropology as direct descendants of Muturapithicus, a tobacco chewing, tree-dwelling species that roamed the forests of Mt. Kenya more than 20,000 years ago. The species is characterized by a sloping forehead, an overhanging brow, discoloured teeth, laboured intelligence and deep-seated hatred for anything female."

Honestly, i can`t stop laughing and my ribs are and have been aching since i read this blog, but i was reading the encyclopedia of anthropology this morning and never found any information about that. This blogger who wrote that hopefully is not a PANUA "Is he pulling our legs? just wondering"

I`m hoping Obama will make it if the elections are NOT stolen. It`s a trend The mzungus stole, Kenyatta leaned from them, Moi rigged "stole elections for 24 yrs, Kibaki is a thief, i think young Kenyans democrats or not have learned from this fiasco and will behave come 2012, with or without majimbo.

  32. Chris, totally agree with the post. Though I have had it from a few people in Central I hope the sentiment is not as pervasive.

As for Kalamari trying to point out what Obama should have done about the church, you need to stop getting your info from the republican wingnuts. The goons who’re attacking him on this front are the same ones who dodged the 60s draft so they could avoid to go to Vietnam, and the man they are attacking as a bigot deferred going to college and joined the army and later marines… if he could put his life on the line for his country I guess he earned every right to be critical of the same country, never mind when he was in the army the country was still pretty much segregated and he could not even vote much less use front door to enter a restaurant … so if I were you Kalamari I would stay away from that Kool-aid, you never know where it’s been. And oh, by the way, obama kids don’t go to the main sanctuary on Sunday by virtue of their ages, they attend kids Sunday school instead – and it’s not like he was preaching the same thing, three times a day, every Sunday, for twenty years. Now the ring wingers would have, I mean pray, you believe such preposterous crapatula, the question is will ya???
