Why Is Biwott Transferring Assets Now?

When we were all busy worrying about the post election tensions and turmoil, nobody remembered to analyze exactly what happened in the last elections and especially how the giants fell. Actually one of the major shocks of last december’s general elections was the felling of political giant, Nicholas Kipyator Biwott by a nobody in his Keiyo South constituency. Jackson Kiptanui Kiplagat of ODM garnered 30,380 votes to Biwott’s paltry 9,483.

So for the first time since the late seventies, Biwott is not an MP.

Biwott's son-in-law mentioned in the Kroll report: Charles Field Marsham

But what should worry Kenyans even more is what Biwott is up to now that he is away from the political limelight and can spend much more time on his colossal business empire. The reason why Kenyans must forever be interested in Biwott is really simple but let me spell it out here. We know how Bill Gates made his money and we also know how the Rockefeller family (descendants of JOHN D. Rockefeller) made their money. Closer to home we have a pretty good idea of how Manu Chandaria came to own so many prosperous companies. Now my question is simple, How did Nicholas Biwott make his money? If I may put it bluntly he made his seed money from stealing public money and taking hefty bribes for major government projects. The Turkwell Gorge Hydroelectric project made Biwott, to name one colossal project.

Nick Biwott: Lost by over 20,000 votes

Sources inform this writer that in recent times the former Keiyo South legislator has been very busy transferring huge funds to the most unlikely of destinations. And that is Canada. The leaked Kroll report told us that the Moi’s for example have been getting pretty nervous and have transferred a lot of their funds to an African country called Namibia. We also know that if push comes to shove accounts in Switzerland and elsewhere can be frozen. So behind this backdrop why would Nicholas Biwott transfer vast sums of his ill-gotten wealth to Canada of all places?

  1. True KK most of our wealthy lot owe it exclusively to DECEPTION aka corruption. That is both reigning and ruling. Biwott is the epitome of anything politically EVIL in Moi's regime just like plenty almost overtook him in the last 5 years. But not for long.

Kenyan is hurtling to a pedestal where the guilty are becoming afraid in advance. They may run but won't hide. The average Kenyan knows what SHE wants and until tehn no amount of pretence will wash. Biwott and his ilk are still operating on the old model and may be using his harem to continue the dirty work. But he is no isle even with his Israeli bodyguards. Justice unlike human beings is immortal. Washindwe hawa enemeies of Kenya.

  3. Chris, Biwott's white wife is not Israeli but Aussie. Biwott owns a large sheep ranch is Aussie as a result.

No doubt that Biwott knows that RAO's rise spells doom for him. A lot of the corrupt folks will be running soon. But they can't run forever.

  4. Mr. Chris! I will tell you a little about my relative. You see that sleeping Lion Chris! Don’t touch him. Let other lions touch him, you feel me? Don’t touch it my son. Some sons of the soil touched the same lion but now and unfortunately, they are referred to as late so and so or ayati. You see what I mean?….. No! You don’t get it, do you?

The guy quite up after election and I think you are making a mistake of knocking in his tent.

I’m even using a rhetoric language because I care about more sweet times that I still want to enjoy in this world. I’m not so clean and so not so sure if Jesus will let me in. So it is a good thing to be careful and enjoy the little time that we get in this world. Lions hurt people Chris! Lions can bleed somebody Chris!

I’m just saying that you ought to be careful when mentioning some secret moves of mad and upset souls.

  5. Yes, it is true - Biwott's white wife is Australian of Israeli-Jewish descend (she was actually the one who introduced him to the Mossad people who became infamous for their cruel practices including killing Kenyans like Ouko, Oyugi, Kilonzo, etc. etc.).

The question why and how he transfers his assets to Canada is quite simple: his son-in-law has a Canadian passport (and by the way is a close friend of the Prince of Wales)!!!!!!

Biwott is very clever: most of his businesses are in the name of his wives (the foreign ones in the name of his Australien white one, others in the name of his Tanzanian one and others in the name of Margret Kamar .... his two son-on-laws (both whites) are Managing Directors and CEO's of his foreign properties.

Besides the fact that he was named by Scotland Yard to be behind the killing of most of the witnesses in the Ouko-case.

He is a wanted criminal and now that he is not protected by Moi anymore, has to 'save' his billions.

But it seems he has been so clever to not only being able to protect himself but based on the fact that he was so clever to get the 'right' business partners in all circles, his friends continue to protect him because they fear to have to face the same fate like so many others who have died in the past.

That's the real sad story of this 'Total Man' ........

The list is Long, Starting from Moi and his son`s, William Ruto, Sally Kosgey, Koskei, Kiptanui`s, Kiplagat`s to name but a few.
All this wealth belongs to poor Kenyans who have worked so hard for years and should be returned to Kenya for Kenyans.
Can you imagine they do not need all this weath that`s why they taking it away to abroad for the white man to use.

  9. So fellas, what happens when Biwott dies? While I’m sure that his black Kenyan family will never see a breakfast without eggs, bacon and sausages, it is clear that most of his wealth will be distributed within some white folks…who will never think of reinvesting in Kenya in the absence of the total man’s clout.

This is what I call the classic case of the black man’s curse.

  11. One major factor in this saga has been totally forgotten:

One of the first Bills Kibaki signed when taking over in 2002/2003 was saying that all crimes committed by and during the Moi-Regime are blocked from further investigations.

It was done to protect certain members of his own Government (like Prof. Saitoti mentioned in the Goldenberg case) but mainly to protect Moi and his family and others.

And of course also Kibaki himself - that's why he always claimed that the Anglo-Leasing started already under Moi, i.e. the first contracts had been signed before.

Kibaki was giving himself 'amnesty' with this Bill.

Regarding Biwott: You do not need to ask Canada and other countries........ just block the Yaya-Center, Grand Regency, his various farms, Hotels at the Coast etc. etc.

Do it like the Tanzanian Government is doing it right now with any property, bank accounts etc. whose sources are doubtful and they also confiscated properties which are owned by foreigners or foreign companies but with the help of Tanzanians.

I have sent to Chris the respective article published in the East African a few days ago.

And just a small remark to some comments here:

Don't continue putting the blame on the 'whites' - Biwott is Kenyan and so are all others who have robbed and looted. Being married or being related to Whites does not mean that the evil lies with them.

Kenya has made it very easy to let these people become 'untouchables' even protecting them by law.

In other words: Kenya (Kibaki) has made corruption legal.

Why did nobody protest and ask for a Million-People-March at that time when that Bill passed Parliament?

Maybe the answer to this is quite simple: Also the acquisition of the Molasses Plant was falling under this new law and could not be investigated anymore. And by the way, also in this case it is a Canadian company who not only has the majority in the Plant but also in the Odinga-private-company Spectre Ltd. (the Canadians -former South Africans but now registered on the Toronto-Stock-Exchange) own 51 % in both companies.

So the Bill was serving 'all interests' ......... except the one of the Kenyan People.

  15. And then there is another angle to the Biwott-Saga:

Besides his Kenyan wife Margret Kamar (now MP on an ODM ticket), there his his daughter Esther Koimet -

And that's even more surprising since being before in charge of the Loan and Savings Bank, she is now (appointed by Kibaki as soon as he took over) PS in the Ministry of Finance. Portfolio: Investments !!!!!!!!!!!!

You see, Total Man continues being in 'total' control - even more so now that he finally has time to control his businesses without having to 'waste time' in Parliament which he always regarded just as a 'tool' to keep control but saw it as a 'bunch of idiots' ...... (and may I say that they - the MP's - proved him many times right ...).

With having placed successfully Margret Kamar even in ODM (which is a joke by itself) and with having his daughter in the Ministry of Finance in such an important position, why should he continue spending time in Parliament ?

Let me assure you - Biwott 'lost' because he wanted to loose otherwise he would have found ways to secure his re-election like he always did - even if it meant to kill his opponents.

But Total Man proved to be much more clever: He knew he would never been accepted by ODM (therefore his genious idea to put his wife and seeing the result, he must be laughing his head off since nobody in ODM realized that he was behind all this - they only saw the money Margret Kamar was willing to spend).......

And Biwott also knew that Kibaki would never appoint him to become a Member of his Cabinet because of the international outcry this would have caused.

So I repeat my former question: why wasting his time when he had other (better) things to do.......

I hope you got the point in all this.

Biwott was and still is a master in manipulating people's mind and will continue to do so because he knows too many secrets - on all sides - and that's why he is still a danger to Kenya and Kenyans.

Don't underestimate this man - he keeps Kenya and its Government (PNU and ODM) in control - they dance to his tunes and will continue doing so.

  16. i am not surprised that biwott is doing this now, it was expected!! infact i expect every kanu hawk to follow suit!! however, if I were them, i would have made sure i did it when people were still hacking each other with machetes(sorry it sounds so callous), that way no one would ever have noticed coz all the attention would have been elsewhere. come to think of it...during that machete wielding period, people must have done these things, i mean they are not daft.... am sure they did ……and fanned the violence a little while longer to enable them meet their objectives…….can someone please investigate the link between the violence and these types of people, there must be one!!

raila was voted in on the premise that he was going to form a corrupt free government and of course the guilty are panicking. why do you think moi rejected him saying odm has ukabila? what about pnu? it was a clear demonstration of protection of personal interests!!!

chris, i think your question on whether mr biwott's assets can be touched and frozen in future can be addressed…..i hear we now have international laws dealing with special cases like his...i think they call it the united nations convention against corruption. apparently the convention is concerned with transfers and detection of assets (mostly from developing countries to developed ones) and the repatriation of those assets to their origin.

the fact that he is doing the transfer through his son in law is irrelevant because the international community is aware of friends, family and aliases being used to do the dirty job-so if kenya ‘wants’ to, it will trace and recover these assets regardless of whose names they are registered under.

by the way what is up with canada nowadays? it is no longer being mentioned for the right reasons anymore…the last I heard of it was that when ‘somebody’s’ three sons were felled in the mother of all elections in kenya….these guys briefly fled there….i don’t know whether that is true or not!! but canada needs to do serious damage control harbouring criminals and loot is not looked upon kindly!! i think biwott may be taking his assets there considering that the usual places where loot has traditionally been hidden have been so alert about it…its hard to sneak in stuff in switzerland, antigua and the cayman islands now……maybe he thinks he can get away with it?

of course my big problem with what you are saying, is that if canada is indeed accepting loot from kenya, yet both of them are bound by the convention then something is definitely very wrong somewhere, they either haven't made the connection between field marsham and biwott (which i highly doubt thank you for whistle blowing now they do!!) ama like usual the west is gonna look the other way and then squeal about it much later like they are so fond of doing.

the problem with the west is that they have too much domo-domo, they are so great at coming up with these laws and measures but when the purposes suit them they usually fail to implement these laws. we need to hold them accountable for being on the receiving end of our stolen property.....otherwise there is no difference between them and the perpetrators kina biwott.

it is common knowledge that moi's loot has been traced to some countries in the west including the all powerful britain.........but before the money is ever taken back to kenya i think we are gonna have to sweat it out a little......this all depends on whether the government is willing to ask for the repatriation of those assets or not.....one of the reasons why the kroll report has not been followed up is because the 'kabaki' government was relaxed about it, funny thing is as soon as they started following up on the story, the anglo-leasing deal exploded right in their faces (hypocrites!!) after that they had no more justification to follow up the moi monies.....after all they were all the same and there was no longer any reason for the west to take money from one thief and give it to another.

this brings me to raila's role....we voted him in to do away with such nonsense....and we expect him to do it....he has to hound the west like a problem and make sure our money is returned.....nigerians were able to do it with part of abacha's loot and we expect him to do the same with our assets. what agwambo needs to do is to make sure his integrity and that of the government he is about to form stays above reproach....we do not want a repeat of kibaki.....one lapse on his part and nothing will ever be done-he has no choice but to be serious about it.

i dont know much about margaret kamar's involvement in this deal...but someone tells me that biwott has treated that lady like trash for the longest time....i hear even the odm platform she took was just to spite the guy………you mean he could mistreat her like that she has now forgotten and is now running errands for the guy? it doesn't really make sense!!...but then again you never know.

chris, now that you have become the third known whistle blower after the goldenberg guy and githongo, i hope u are gonna follow this up for us.....we need answers bwana......there is no need for kenyans to be languishing in poverty while the west continues to spend our money enriching themselves and feeling hot for us!!.

oh and chris? if I were you i would tread very carefully on this one….dont disregard what kenyan son has said!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I see it is still easier to put all the blame on the 'West' instead of seeing the 'thorne in your own eyes'.

Fact is, the Kenyan law as it stands right now prohibits to investigate the corruption of the past - at least until 2003.

So why should Biwott and all the others bother?

And one more clarification: Biwott's son-in-laws are Managing Directors, CEO's, Chairmen etc. in some of his most important companies since years - not just right now as claimed in this article...... since years ..... 'google' and you will find out.

So this has nothing to do with having 'lost' the Elections ... Total Man has exactly reached what he wanted and you can continue closing your eyes about this fact. But the future will tell that I am right: Margret Kamar is a mole in ODM just as his daughter Esther Koimet is a mole in PNU.

    Well done - Total Man.

  18. IS KENYA A COUNTRY OF THUGS, MURDERERS,RAPERS AND ROBBERS?

Many Kenyans are convinced that where you work is where you "eat". "Toa kitu kidogo" is the Anthem of this country.

What do we learn from our parents, from our teachers and our priests?

Go outside there and bring back home all the wealth you can get on your way. That's what fathers tell their children, after they have spent millions in educating them.

A banker, a lawyer, a priest, an egineer, a doctor, a teacher, a legislator, a policeman. Name any profession. A Kenyan will always try to be rich as fast as possible. Some risk getting to prison (but through kitu kidogo- are released fast), some even go for prostitution and night robberies.

The courts have been very reluctant to punish the culprits.

Does it surprise you that the likes of Biwott, Moi, Livondo, Kibaki, Saitoti, Kirauti, Murungaru, etc have nothing to fear?

These people are above the law in Kenya. They can steal openly, kill in broad daylight and NOTHING will happen to them.

  23. Biwott is simply a smart guy. He knew what to invest in and how to get his contracts through. Kenol/Kobil have gargatuan contracts to supply giovernment and parastatals for a very long time to come.

When the 'burning party' was on in the Rift Valley, where his businesses/farms/properties targetted anywhere? People dont even know some of his businesses. That is how shrewd the man is.

  24. @10.47

    Your ignorancy is stinking.

Let me brief you on this issue. The land on where the molasses plant stands belonged to the people of Kanyawegi and Kanyakwar.

One morning, someone in the gov of Kenyatta woke up in early 70s and decided that these people had to vacate the land for possible extension of Kisumu.

The people were given a maximum of 3000/=Sh in the late 70s and were kicked out. The land stretching from Bandani, past the airport, to Otonglo remained vacant for sometime.

In the early 80s the Asians discovered a speculation object. They bought chunks of land. Then came the hyaenas in the Moi's gov. They were allocated (they never bought it) big pieces of land.

Kisumu was hit badly by Moi's decision to liberalize textile importation. KICOMI went into recievership. The Breweries remained as the only employer. Some months later they closed. Kisumu remained a town with the highest joblesness in Kenya.

Moi came in and "sympathized". The molasess plant was started to create jobs. The Asians and some ministers (Kalenjins and Kikuyus) sold their land to the gov with a large profit margin. Before the contruction was completed politicians with ill intentions stopped the project. One minister was murdered partly due to this project.

After the formation of NEW KANU between Moi and Raila, Raila vowed to create jobs for Kisumu people.

He was forced not only to buy the already rusting plant, but also to purchase the government land at a normal land price at that time, BUT lower than the inflated price the gov bought it from the speculators. NDUGU COMMISSION revealed this fact(that the gov sold the land with a loss). Who gained? Asians and the ministers.

If the people of Kanyawegi and Kanyakwar were not forced out of this land, these people could have DONATED this land to RAILA free of charge to set up a plant to create jobs for Kisumu people.

IF YOU THINK NDUNGU REPORT should be implemented, then the gov should give the original owners their land back and ofcourse Raila should be refunded his money (plus interest).

I'm sure the people of Kanyawegi and Kanyakwar would be willing to sell their land to Raila, the land the gov took from them forcefully.

By the way the Moi gov robbed more lands and islands in Luo Nyanza and refused compensation. WE SHALL REVEAL ALL THESE to show how cruel Kenyatta, Moi, Kibai have been cruel to Luo Nyanza.
