The Controversial Hate Leaflet

There is a good chance that the 2007 general elections will be remebered as the "propaganda elections."

What may not be legible in the image;

Raila says; Kyo jilil Kenyit ab tomonwok sisit ak aeng (1982), raini kokanamak.

List of people waiting to be hanged; Ruto, Philip, Cheserem, Kosgei, Gideon, Kulei, Sumbeiywo, Biwott, (the last two not legible).

  1. The last two names of people waiting to be hanged appears to me to be Mark Too

  2. Could a similar kind of leaflet have triggered off the trouble in Kuresoi? Just thinking out aloud.

Similar propaganda on both sides over many years has fanned the current Luo/Kikuyu tension in the country.

    Very sad.

  4. These kinds of leaflets are just a manifestation of stupidity. Everyone has their opinion on who is behind their publication. In my opinion, Kalamari is not only behind their printing but also their disbursement. He should be locked up in a 1m*1m and fed once a week on a breakfast of fish (The snall ones, what do u guys call them? yes those ones, half a kilo of those every Saturday) and a cup of very sour porridge. This should be done for at least 23 days after which he should be shot in the ass and his body CAREFULLY disposed to prevent the spread of his condition.

  5. This propaganda will take this frustrated government nowhere, therefore we are urging kenyans of good will to remain steadfast in ODM.especially people from Riftvalley. We are wondering why thi idle people are not taking leaflets to central kenya or any other place.Regards J.Koech

  6. Ngilu has never defecated, the only one who defecated was Raila when he moved from ODM-Kenya to ODM. Now he is Chungwa and Kalonzo is Chungwa plus.
Kenyans know Ngilu as a defecator who never stayed in one party just like Raila is a defecator as well. People can argue that many politicians know only one thing--defecating. Jumping from one party to the another one.
Ngilu, stop defecating and join TIP TIP.
Kalembe is the only one who has never defecated! Stay in one party

  7. Thanks for posting this.Though I would laugh it off, I understand every Kenyan (or rather, Kalenjin) is not like me, hence the need to think before someone prints and distributes something like this. To whoever is responsible: this is the height of ignorance, and I condemn in the strongest terms possible.

  9. Prior to and during the second world war, Hitler's propaganda machine distributed obscene leaflets depicting Jews as ravenous baby eaters. Now I'm not saying that Germans were a gullible lot, but most were complacent when sulphuric acid showers and concentration camps took center stage. The fear of the Gestapo was enough to silence the few who did not embrace the final solution.
That evil regimes will continue distributing such literature is in fact expected. What should worry Kenyans is the complacent and casual manner by which such are accepted. If the current government slowly turns our Administration Police into a propaganda distributing Gestapo-like PNU youth winger outfit, all the while our best minds contemplate on sadines/omena, VSOP porridge and shooting chaps in places where the sun doesn't shine, has Kenya not lost?

What happens when Moi's distant relative picks up a leaflet depicting a noose around his hero's neck? Me thinks the following; Incensed, he will rush to the Eldoret-Kisumu Highway and flag down the normal-crude-weapon laden government vehicle enroute to Western province. To the occupants, he will explain his motives and confirm his PNU affiliation; at which point he will be given sharp pangas amongst other garden tools. He will then be offered a lift to Molo where he will look for anybody whose last name is Omondi, Ochieng, Senator or Referendum.

Yes my dears, the message delivered by these cartoon characters is not really cartoonish.

  10. On the other side of the coin, its only in an upside-down Kenya without order that the meting of justice is delayed and denied to the people depicted in the controversial leaflets as waiting to be hanged. God knows they deserve to get whatever is one day coming to them, but ours is an incomprehensible country where we have created our fantasy world where the roles of heroes and scoundrels are gleefully reversed with accompanying veneration to boot

Sorry ma'am, we are dealing with people who have more to lose. Asking them to think before printing these leaflets is surely asking for too much.

  15. Thanks chris for that nice picture of Raila hanging Kalenjin Leaders. It is doubtful where Kalenjin people will want to vote for a Rwandese type of demagogue. I have copied it for further distribution. Kioko. BC, Canada. Kazi iendeleee.

  16. Eliudi just to remind you Kibaki was in KANU, DP, NARC, NARC KENYA and now PNU (KANU Reincarnate) and mind you this is not Kalamari's invention, apparently this leaflets got their way to RiftValley province being distributed by 2 police constables based in Harambee house under the instructions of a Superintendent. Currently we dont where they are were last seen in Embakasi. For your information this is not propaganda it was televised live by KTN and after that we have not heard the voice of the govt spokesman and Kirathe who disappeared on thin air only to resurface yesterday and say that the police are working hard on the molo and Kuresoi clashes. In the beginning they had denied that those dudes were cops only for KTN to give out their names and number. Who is fooling who? Na kazi iendelee

  20. It rather interesting that cops have become so pro this days that they arrest other cops who have instructions from the OP and even parade them in front of the press, and they even manage to track and arrest people carrying crude weapons in GK vehicles,i guess soon we will be seeing cops arresting other cops fro taking kitu kidogo.Well keep the trend up Husseini boys, we all have our eyes shut you know.
